"Thank you, Mr. Kashyap. Thank you so much for the help." Lumis said when the contract was signed and the first thing that Robin told Lumis was to destroy the Dyson Sphere. He had wide grin in his face and seemed as if a huge burden had been taken off his shoulders.
"But this doesn't come with no cost." Robin said as he reminded that it was a favor that he had done.
"I understand. The citizens of Zora will be the firm supporter of the humans from here on out and will be the vassal of the humans. As long as there is something that doesn't harm the people of Zora, I am willing to accept any mission that the High Elder proposes."
"You don't to be subservient to the humans. I would hate it if you do that. Humans aren't some peace loving creature and they have their own ambitions and desires, just like your planet, humans had waged war against themselves and it had been ugly. I want you to act as the Overwatch of the humans. Do you understand what I am saying?" Robin asked.
"Perfectly, High elder. The Zorians will make sure that the humans doesn't run amok and causes problems for the High Elder." Lumis said.
"More or less. And I will keep an eye on you or the consecutive rulers that will sit on your throne. In return, I will be responsible for providing energy to your planet and solar system which will soon go down due to the absence of the Dyson Sphere." Robin said.
Lumis hearing almost jumped in joy. They were at the moment in the celebratory hall enjoying the small feast arranged by Torin so Lumis had to control his joy and be as polite as possible. And in this feast, there were other dignitaries too. And for the first time, Robin got to know about the Luminary Collective inner circle.
There were three High Elders, which represented three families. Ziran. Savin and Komu families. There were other families who held good positions in the administration but the other families didn't have an High Elder sitting at the top. With the inclusion of Robin, the Luminary Collective will be the fourth family who had an High Elder sitting at the top.
In any galaxy it was normal to have two or three Evolutionaries so having four wouldn't be frowned upon by too much. But a galaxy having a High Evolutionary was something that could be a little problematic as the other 3rd class galaxies would be scared of them. So at the moment Robin being a High Evolutionary was a secret that only a few people knew. And in this feast, the other High Elders were also present but in the form of 3d hologram.
Since these High Elders were many light years away so it would take time for them to arrive. Torin spoke of the fact that the capital city would be ready for them to move with the family and the Luminary Collective would send soldiers over to safeguard the planet and his family.
"I have already brought the Shining Guards of the empire to accompany you and safeguard your family. They are the soldiers trained by the empire to safeguard the royal families and since you are now a part of the empire. I hope your will accept these guards." Torin said. This guy was really tying to be as cozy to them as possible. It was understandable. Robin was too strong for them and they didn't want any kind of retaliation and thus all the privileges were given to him.
"I don't need any Shining Guards, but I do have some family members, who might need them. Thank you for the patronage." Robin said. Torin went on to speak more of he privileges that he would receive once he would visit the capital city and have a general view of how the empire worked.
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
"Me joining the administration will be a huge problem politically for the other families." Robin said as Torin spoke a lot of the power that they would gather.
"Normally it should as any new emerging family would be a threat to other families, but you are an High Elder and thus they would never dare to do things outright. If they have the guts they would try to backstab you but at most it would be a political backstab and would never try to harm you physically as they know that it would only lead to deaths. And the other three families of ours wouldn't touch you either." Torin said.
"Oh! Why is that?"
"It's because you are more powerful than us." Torin gave the straight reason which made Robin laugh. He didn't ask more and let Torin speak more of the world of the galaxy. He hadn't moved a lot and even though he did have the privilege to go to other other galaxies, but moving to a 2nd class galaxy was very costly and he would rather not move around at all.
Robin also got to know a lot of the small intricacies and alliances between galaxies. Since there were millions of third class galaxies, they tended to be under multiple alliances with multiple galaxies for better trade.
"Our galaxy is more biological based than a militaristic one. We have a good biological industry which help in research of species and make our inherent lives better and also conduct research on species who are under alliances. "
"Oh so basically we are a technological advancement galaxy or something like that." Robin said. Torin nodded. The night ended late as the celebrations went on for a long time, which Lumis insisted. After a long night, Robin came back to his place.
The others were too tired by the party and they all went to sleep while Robin came out of his home and lied down over the outer hull of the ship and looked at the stars. It was late so he could see the dawn slowly find its way into the darkness.
He could never be tired and it was times like these in serenity and seclusion that he loved. Finding a 'me time' was always important to Robin. The sun was up soon and he got to see the sunrise while enjoying a cup of coffee. After being outside for such a long time, it was time to get back home.
He kind of missed his home planet and the smell. He never had homesickness in his life, but now he definitely had some 'planetsickness.' His friends woke up really late but the spacecraft was ready to leave. But before they got ready the 'Shining Guards' were sent over.
There were 20 of them. Though he knew that accepting the Shining Guards was kind of accepting the fact that humanity would dip their hands in the galactic politics. He wasn't interested but this would lead the humans have a better future in the galaxy than being ostracized for being different from the rest.
Maybe racism would be prevalent if he didn't let them have some kind of solid platform. The Shining Guards looked lean and fit with their guns in hands. There was a Captain and there were 20 in total.
"Good morning, Sir."
"Good morning. At ease." Robin replied and they went into resting motion while being in militaristic disciplined formation.
"You know who I am?" Robin asked.
"You are the High Elder we are sent to protect." The Captain spoke loudly and clearly.
"Hmm. I don't need any protection. My family might need though. I won't be in this galaxy for long and will leave soon after finishing my time here. I hope you can take care of my family." Robin said.
There was silence among the whole Guards for a second and finally the Captain said.
"We will accept any orders given to us by the High Elder."
"Thank you. Now follow me to the ship. We will going for our home soon." Robin said. The Captain nodded and led the men inside the ship. A separate place had already been given to them to board while they were on their way.
Torin had already left by then and had bid her goodbye to him while Selena thanked and apologized for what she had done. As everything was ready, it was now time to go back home. But this time there were few more people.
In addition to the Shining Guards there were others too. And by others, I mean Lumis was also following them. Lumis and a few of his advisors said that they would love to meet with the humans and establish early communications.
Lumis and his fellow countrymen were given space just like the Shining Guards. Lumis was impressed by the ship and had showed regret that he didn't have money to buy such ships in the universe.
The ship slowly moved up and went into the space. The Mothership and other ships were already near their space station waiting for them and once their spaceship was up, it was time to return home.
