142. Let's make some drones

The Battlecruiser was packed to the gills with a powerful assortment of weaponry. Its sides and bottom were studded with missile launchers and energy-based weapons. These powerful weapons served as a testament to the Battlecruiser's reputation as a destructive battleship with a massive amount of firepower at its disposal. When Robin saw it for the first time, it was a sight to behold.

"Sigret, is there anyone inside?" Robin enquired.

"No. It's just an empty husk with nobody to maintain it." Sigret said after quickly scanning the area with her perceptive eyes. Robin nodded as he already expected it. A spaceship, unless it was a command center of an RTS game, wouldn't be able to make humans, and this spaceship was just a regular one. He was able to produce lifeforms from some structures because they were designed to produce 'human' out of them, like barracks or command centers.

The Battlecruiser was currently just lying there motionless, waiting for soldiers to arrive and transport it to space as it should have been.

Could we peek inside?" Robin enquired because he was curious to see inside the enormous machine.

"Let me call the spaceship adjutant," you say. Sigret said as she closed her eyes. A massive elevator appeared to descend from the ship's neck in a matter of seconds. The elevator appeared to be using anti-gravity technology because it descended without any support. This demonstrated how sophisticated this spacecraft was. Any small part of the ship would cost 100 times as much as a diamond in today's society.

As soon as Robin and Sigret boarded the elevator, they were brought inside the ship. They were greeted by a hologram of an assistant AI when they entered.

"Welcome master. I am sorry there is no Captain to welcome you. I hope to acquire a captain as soon as possible in order to return to space where the spaceship belongs." said the adjutant.

"All in good time." Robin gave her comfort. Robin had come through the crew stations section of the ship and throughout the interior, crew stations are organized with precision. On the other side of this enormous station, which had numerous enormous rooms and halls linking them, Robin could already make out the stations constructed for engineers to keep an eye on the ship's different systems and communication panels. He took a stroll and soon arrived to the Battlecruiser's core.

The Battlecruiser's command bridge, a sizable area that was ideally situated to oversee the whole ship, was in the middle of it. A panoramic view of Mars stretched before Robin and Sigret through the reinforced glass windows, providing a breathtaking sight of the cosmic theater in which the Battlecruiser operated. They went into the war room, a strategic gathering place where officers might congregate to plan and strategize, which was close to the command bridge.

"This is quite large." Robin made a remark.

"It was made for around 3000 crew members so of course it had to be large."

They eventually arrived at the engineering area, which was near the ship's stern. There were enormous generators that appeared to be buzzing inaudibly, giving the meager energy needed to run the lights and the interior's typical functions, including maintaining the air supply, gravity and air pressure. Finally, there were naturally designated personnel quarters for relaxation and replenishment. Additionally, the ship had a hangar area where dropships and other smaller spacecraft were carefully loaded with equipment and vehicles and prepared for instantaneous deployment. Unfortunately, no soldiers were there to remove the tiny spacecraft from the hangar bay. Although the ship was fantastic, Robin found the eerie silence to be a little unsettling.

Robin left the ship after receiving a broad tour and went on to take out 20 of these spacecraft and set them down on the ground. Even with his keen eyes, Robin was unable to see from one end of the line of spaceships to the other of this spectacular array of spacecraft.

He finally possessed a sizable number of spacecraft capable of engaging in actual war and venturing out for exploration if necessary.

"This is now prepared for attack. Let us make the first responders." As he started a new game, Robin said. A properly organized faction that could defend and save Earth was required. However, Earth also need a fleet of first responders that could not only connect with anyone passing through the solar system in the first instance, but could also retaliate in kind in the event of an attack.

A fleet which could be self controlled and work in perfect coordination. Additionally, JARVIS had recommended that he play a certain, less well-known game.

Drone Swarm.

In essence, Drone Swarm was a game in which a single ship could command 32 000 drones. These drones were powerful enough to readily withstand nuclear weapons, could be directed by the main ship, and could attack and defend themselves. In the story, humanity destroyed itself while engaged in a single ship's battle but was unable to even make a decent mark in it. This was an excellent off hands defense system that could be placed in the solar system and was flexible.

Robin after opening the game brought out the Argo spaceship which was the name of the spaceship one controlled through the game. Robin withdrew his hands out of the game and brought out the spaceship, which was followed by the drones.

He placed the spaceship in an open space that was levitating on itself. Soon it was back in it's original size. The Argo starship had a streamlined appearance that gave off an air of speed and agility. Its hull was made of a blend of unidentified metallic alloys and energy shielding, offering both defense and aesthetic appeal. The spaceship's primary color palette was a dark, metallic tone, giving it a commanding and imposing appearance.

The spaceship had a length of several hundred meters, making it quite long. A number of angular and aerodynamic elements on its cylindrical main body improved its overall agility. The Argo starship has a predatory aspect due to its tapering front and sharp nose. The spacecraft's back was home to a number of large, strong engines that were positioned there and released a gentle glow to indicate their incredible power. These engines allowed the Argo spacecraft to travel at tremendous speeds and carry out complex space maneuvers.

The large number of autonomous drones that surrounding the Argo spaceship was one of its most distinguishing characteristics. These drones form a protective shield surrounding the spaceship and are ready to launch attacks at any time. The drones are available in a range of sizes and shapes, from small, agile units to bigger, more heavily armed ones. They moved and attacked in precise patterns, increasing the Argo's overall firepower while producing an amazing spectacle.

"Come in Kaylee. Can you hear me?" Robin yelled. Since she had transferred her consciousness to the mother ship, Kaylee was the one who truly piloted the vessel.

"Perfectly Commander. Is this new Earth? It looks barren." Through comms, Kaylee spoke. Naturally, she connected quite quickly thanks to the spaceship's advanced technology.

"No. Earth is in good shape. This Earth is before the aliens attacked us. You just need to help me maintain the security of the Earth." For Robin, speaking with a spaceship was incredibly strange. He had never experienced that before, but by this point, he was more amenable to the many factions he was introducing.

"Prior to the extraterrestrial attack? Earth is fine? That means we don't need to find new Earth... Good.. Good." As Robin sensed a little tremble in the enormous spaceship, Kaylee responded. Kaylee had been actively looking for a planet where the last of mankind may dwell while aboard the spacecraft.

Her feeling of purpose was renewed when she realized that humanity was alright and required protection. She was prepared to support the Commander and zealously defend the Earth they had once cherished.

"What do I need to do, Commander?" Kaylee enquired. Robin then instructed her to take her ship away and be on the periphery of Saturn's orbit and keep an eye on any incoming meteors, alien spaceships or anything that was remotely suspicious.

"I will establish a proper connection to Earth so that you are not alone and can talk with normal people there. Human technology has not evolved to contact such long distance in a moment's notice but I will do something about it." Robin gave her comfort.

"No problem, Commander. You undoubtedly did your best in bringing me into the world and in working to protect humanity. We humans still had our differences even in the year 2100, which was another factor in the deaths of countless people. Commander, I hope you can do better and bring humanity together." stated Kaylee.

"That can only occur if there is a threat to humanity's annihilation. And the enemies that we might face will surely make them feel like that. We have already discovered one guy escaping using an alien spaceship which could either jump space or go FTL." said Robin.

"So we have someone who betrayed? Sigh. Selfishness of the highest level."
