Of course, the bullets that were fired at the javelins in flight made only clinking noises instead of leaving a mark or wound. It lasted the full five seconds. And then the javelins brought out their guns. The guns that were non-lethal. These guns were kind of like tranquilizer guns where the gun could check the dose been sent to each bullet.
Higher anesthesia could mean that the people being shot at with the guns would be out for much longer time while the lower dose would mean for lesser amount of time of their face touching the gravel. The military became alarmed after realizing that its weapons were useless against these "aliens."
For the normal people the coming for the javelins looked like aliens. Due to improper circulation of international news, few people were aware of the changes North Korea had made in the country. Only the leaders knew and they hadn't been very intelligent about it, so what more could be said for these ignorant army men.
As there were no commanders to gather them, many soldiers nearly fled in various directions, but it was already too late. The people fired at by Javleins using their automatic weapons, and soon all the guys were lying on the ground.
The area around them was cleared in only 3 minutes. After the airport's seizure was ended, it was time to revamp everything. Javelins were followed by men of Nod units and then vehicles like the Raider Buggy, a buggy attached with machine guns and also EMP burst, attack bikes which had missiles attached with them and Scorpion tanks attached with 105mm cannon with Dozer blades capable of sweeping away small obstacles and mines. All of these were Nod units.
Ohm robots, Variants, and Blade troopers came next, which were all part of the Novus units.
With those it was enough to take down the city and that was what was required. They charged on to the main administrative building of the country slowly. The people in the city came out in droves but soon hurried back to their homes after seeing huge guns, tanks and armed men. They were alarmed.
When the other leaders who were still in favor of the monarchy learned what had occurred, they at first found it hard to accept. The only evidence was the radio silence. But when the forces advanced through the city and became aware of several reports, they were compelled to go up to the General.
The General had opposed the entire scheme, and it appeared as though he was aware of something.
"General, you need to clear of what they are? Who are they? You must be sincere. You will be tried by the military court anyways so its better you spill the beans and get your sentence lessened."
The general turned to face the few individuals who had just entered his house. He stopped his loyal soldiers from sacrificing themselves. Because he knew North Korea could not be stopped, he simply let these idiots run around.
"Military court? Hahahah.. You idiots. You just didn't listen when I told you to quit poking your nose, did you? Hahahaha.." The general exulted. He had never been a fan of the monarchy and its obvious corruption. He was elected General because of his popularity with the populace and a significant portion of the army due to his positive traits. Now that the things would be changing, or at least he hoped so, he wanted to see how these corrupt people would be dealt with.
"General, you better speak coherently or you will be killed right here."
"Hahaha.. The more you commit atrocities, the more you will suffer. The truth is that the King is dead. And from the looks of it North Korea just invaded us. The people who looted this country will receive just punishments as soon as we become a satellite state of North Korea. I have been served the list of people who will be taken care of and I am happy to say that you are on their list." said the General.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
They tensed when North Korea was mentioned. They weren't preparing for an unexpected invasion by a nuclear power and a recent news-making nation.
"You are lying. No, Our King is not dead. North Korea will not kill in plain sight. If they do, other strong nations will notice and start a fight with that obese man." a leader declared.
"You mean Kim? He and his family had died long ago. Now a ruler has taken over the country. And their power isn't something to be messed up with. I won't say more. It's better you surrender."
The general was obviously not taken seriously by the commander, who believed that he was bluffing and intended to seize control of the nation. Actually, they were envious of him since he consistently won the public's affection while they could never, never for a second believing that their crooked behavior prevented it. While calling the powerful nations to inform them of the situation, the leaders decided to send the General to prison.
They made calls to Australia, Malaysia, China, and Japan. The main nations with which they conducted most of their trade didn't even return their calls, let alone provide a response. With no other option, they requested assistance from the UN through their envoy.
Finally, the UN responded and it was a one word response from the UN head. It was
"NO."
The leaders' spines tingled at hearing the reply. The troops stormed the streets while this was happening. Brunei put up road barricades and even got themselves tanks. They have seen some of the images so they needed to put up some kind of resistance. But nothing mattered. The tank was dealt with in the most exquisite manner imaginable.
Before the tanks could even fire at the approaching army, Lydia sent freezing grenades and completely froze the entirety of the tanks. Seeing no way out, Brunei even sent some choppers with missiles to shoot at the units, not caring of harming people living in the city. Of course, it was also thwarted.
The Venom and Variant planes were provided by North Korea. Because of how stealthy both of these aircraft were, no one was expecting them, and the helicopters were destroyed just outside the city by being shot into the air.
Brunei made every effort to request assistance, but nobody was even willing to hear them. Their closest neighbor, Malaysia outright disconnected the calls. The leaders became frightened.
As closer they got to the main Palace, more videos of them surfaced in front of them. The military also suffered from poor communications and a refusal to believe what they were hearing because the nation wasn't well linked. But as soon as they saw the enormous robots, they realized their calculations were off.
Now fearing their demise, they went to the same General which they have imprisoned and asked for help because he seemed to know about them.
"It's already late. They are here." The General said and in the next moment all the leaders were shot at their heads from the sides. It was the Ghost Corps. They had always been here looking at the jumping clowns. Because Mirabel had stated that the country's citizens needed to see how powerless their present administration was in the face of them and how easily they prevailed, they made no attempt to stop the leaders from moving forward.
These individuals have only aided in the promotion of North Korea's military power. Of course, the General who had been brought to the video meeting previously, knew that the Ghost corps had never left him and nor when he was taken into custody.
He was a kind man, but that didn't mean he had no political knowledge. He was fully aware of the situation. Soon, Lydia and selected troops went inside the administrative building and declared that Brunei would be under the control of North Korea until a good governance be delivered to the country.
With fewer casualties and less hostilities, North Korea basically pulled off a "USA" here. There were other activities taking place simultaneously in the nation as well. The leaders and monarchy-affiliated individuals were all apprehended or murdered by the Ghost Corps. This is what caused the nation to fall in a couple of hours.
They took care of the leadership and then it was easy for other things to fall down. All the corrupt ministers were taken away and there was no leaders and it was the same for the country's military leadership as they were killed near the General himself . Upon watching the dead bodies being removed, the general simply sighed.
Their nation was no longer "free." But wondered if this new invasion will give them actual 'freedom' or all of this was a lie too. And it wasn't just Brunei where this was occurring.
Iran and Sudan experienced the same thing. The violence was worse in Sudan. The people from both of the country's factions charged at them after they learned that the leaders were not returning since Julius was sent on this assignment because he spoke the native language.
It was fortunate that North Korea only received a neutralizing weapon because else, rivers of blood would have flowed through the streets.
