101. Man! That was cruel

When David discovered that his family was in the car and that it belonged to him, he was horrified. To verify whether what his mind was screaming at him was true, he ran toward the vehicle. His face grew more distraught as he drew closer to his Rolls Royce.

The car had been harmed in the cruelest manner possible, as was evident from the outside. Typically, when lightning strikes a vehicle, it melts the car from the inside and occasionally from the outside because the electric discharge is so great. Naturally, this isn't always the case, and there can be exceptions, in this particular case too, the car had melted from the inside out.

There was a scent of burnt soot in the air. He ran and touched the car handle to open it but couldn't. The body pieces were still very hot and had just melted. He had tears in his ears and cried.

"Helena.. Are you in there? Helana?... Please respond.

Every second that went by brought his voice closer to breaking. Meanwhile, the other families that were on their way to leave stopped their car and ran towards David. Some of their own vehicles were actually impacted, as they had observed from a distance. 911 was dialed right away.

Someone found a fire extinguisher and poured it on the car handle. The temperature of the handle dropped, and David then yanked the vehicle door open with all of his might. At the end he was successful. There he saw his family sitting in the back seat.

Sitting soundlessly!

Sitting like they have been in peace for a very long time. As if nothing significant had occurred in the previous few seconds. The fact that they weren't breathing made the calm significantly different. His wife's and his daughter's features had melted. The musculature, the eyes, and the skin had all just vanished.

The few muscles that were sunk into their bone structures were all that were left. It was appalling to see. David couldn't hold it together at the moment and he lost his consciousness after trying to touch the once beautiful face of his wife.

As this was happening, Robin's car just passed from the side. Nobody paid attention to it, if they did they would have seen that even though the lightning burst out the glasses of all the windows in the parking space, Robin's car was just fine and didn't even received a scratch for all that had happened just now.

Robin's car did not even open its windows to view the burning Rolls Royce or the onlookers who had gathered to see what had occurred.

"Ancient magic is more powerful in your hands." said Myrene.

The ancient magic that Myrene was talking about was also from the game Hogwarts Legacy. A character could use ancient magic in addition to the regular spells they could use in the game, such as summoning lightning from the the sky, turning someone into a statue before destroying it, and changing someone into any animal or bird. In simple words this was a move that could even put the famous Avada Kedabra move to shame.

And this was the move that Robin just used on the family of Rockefeller. He used ancient magic to call upon lightning. Since his magic capacity was much higher than a normal wizard in the game, his magic was much more potent and thus neither the family nor the car stood a chance. He didn't even care that the steward was the driver because, of course, the butler also deserved to die.

In one motion, he murdered three of them. In actuality, he didn't want to kill these individuals at first, but after seeing their attitudes with his own eyes, he changed his mind. They showed no respect for human life and had eyes that seemed to view everything as if it were made of some sort of sewer rat.

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

As a result, killing the deserving individuals didn't truly cause any emotional ripples in his heart, and he didn't even reflect on what he had done. He wasn't really bothered by murders anymore, and he was okay with killing individuals who deserved to die. He would demolish the families in the most brutal manner imaginable because they had been on their high horses for a very long time.

Robin was back in the penthouse that they had rented.

"Today, two individuals attempted to speak with your family while they were in Milan. They were probably some local thugs but the Ghost Corps took care of it." Sigret made a complaint.

"Hmmm... Make sure no one gets too near to them while you keep an eye on them. Though I have given them some things that will save them, they might not know what kind of shitstorm that they have stepped into."

Sigret gave her a gesture before asking.

"The CIA and another organization have been keeping an eye on Cathrin. We have not neutralized them. What do you want to do?"

"Look after them. I don't want her to have a lot of viewers. CIA is enough for now."

"The Chinese Premier wants to go to Pyongyang."

"What? Why? Is he insane? Didn't we stop business with all other countries?" This comment shocked Robin.

"It's not concrete yet but some of the voices in the party are pressuring him to travel to DPRK and open the trade routes again. They are curious about our plans because they believe it is dangerous for us to have a nuclear weapon and to cut off all contact with the outside world while still sharing borders with them. He would reportedly seek to visit the DPRK within the next two months, according to the Ghost Corps in the group.

As soon as he heard that, Robin began to reflect on how quickly time was passing for him.

"Has the capital undergone renovations?"

Robin hadn't visited the capital since his murders there. Food and components were always delivered to storage facilities or the Ark. When the Brotherhood ran out of necessary supplies, Robin occasionally had to transport them to the Brotherhood's headquarters. In order to produce electronics and other items necessary for a country to run, The Brotherhood and Novus constructed numerous factories throughout the nation. There was no adequate manufacturing of items like LED lights, electric heaters, glass, and other things in the nation.

Slowly but surely, Novus, Brotherhood, and the Ark were altering that.

"Yes, the world's most beautiful metropolis had replaced the nation's capital. You ought to go once." stated Sigret. She had seen how the buildings were made. Novus actively participated in building the buildings. It didn't take long to completely rebuild the metropolis because of this. In reality, it took one and a half months to complete.

The city has grown by 3 times it's original size. The structures were tall and made of cutting-edge materials like carbon nanotubes and smart glass, which can fix and clean themselves. Some buildings were constructed from modular components that could reconfigure themselves to adapt to changing needs. The roads were a network of advanced materials and technologies, with self-repairing surfaces and advanced traffic management systems. And these things were just some of the basic changes that had happened to the city.

Of course, for the general ignorant people of North Korea, this was something godly and were having a hard time understanding what was going on. They were shown how things operated by the Ark inhabitants who had traveled there. They have put up massive boards everywhere explaining how to use the facilities that were provided to them.

The locals were initially overwhelmed but eventually adapted as their understanding of the situation grew. Now the people didn't have to think of the food and they could use their brain on more creative needs. Although it moved very slowly, it was clear that it had begun.

With government assistance, some of them had already started opening stores, and this was just the beginning. The DPRK populace still had a ways to go.

David was visiting his dead wife and kid in the morgue. The morgue curator really struggled to keep the corpse intact, but after a long day and several hours of work, he succeeded in giving the body a face that David could at least recognize. He was currently experiencing unspeakable sorrow.

A tough day was an understatement for him. At first it was the court proceedings and then he lost the only thing that gave him peace in his life. He had been unconscious for about an hour, but after that, he quickly rushed to the morgue. The tears had dried up and he just blankly looked at them. While he was gazing at his dead family, one phrase kept popping into his mind.

".. Besides are you sure that you are safe?"
