Myrene nodded in agreement as she realized what kind of notification had been sent. Although she too wanted to assist, she was aware that her assistance was required elsewhere. Normally Sigret was the one handling the interactions with other people but now Myrene had been given the task.
This might be an asset for their far-off expeditions in space, when communication would undoubtedly be required. Robin and the others departed after that. Rita wanted to join but she had her husband to look for and thus only Robin,Sigret, Sauvik and Cathrin exited from the convention and got up in a big car waiting for them.
Osiris didn't mind that Robin left because he had been told to speak with Secretary, who had already begun speaking with him. Naturally, he was transfixed by her face and almost believed he was speaking with 2B.
"What a strange place. This person has the facial features of my cherished 2B, and this metropolis is based on Anno, Universe at War. Maybe I really should ask for a transfer here in my job since the company is thinking of building a branch here." While Myrene was outlining the steps he needed to do after they made contact with Bandai, Osiris was thinking all of these things.
Meanwhile Robin and others had already entered the car while levitated away.
"Is it something related to the company?" Rita's husband enquired since he couldn't figure out why they had departed so abruptly and without explanation.
"Probably. He currently employs Sauvik and Cathrin in his businesses." Rita lied. Of course she knew what was going on, but she pretended not to. In fact, she wanted to approach the person who had just violated humanity so she could gaze into his eyes.
But it was not the correct time of speaking about Robin, because once she told him, the families would get involved. She also knew that since he had such tremendous influence, people would seek for favors if family was involved, and Robin always detested the idea of this.
He kept his powers a secret from his own parents for the same reason. Not because he didn't want his parents to be aware of his abilities, but because once they were aware of it, his capabilities would spiral out of control, and Rita didn't want to violate his faith in her—not even to her own husband. Maybe one day her spouse might be aware of some of Robin's abilities, but she was aware that Robin didn't want his abilities to be widely known.
Once Robin and his entourage was in the car, Sigret called the TARDIS and they went inside the small phone booth. Once inside, the TARDIS disappeared, and the automobile just drove itself to a nearby parking lot while waiting for Robin to return.
Once more, the TARDIS made an appearance, but this time it was in Chile's Conguillo National Park. This National Park was one of the most beautiful National Park out there. And Robin was entranced as soon as he exited the TARDIS.
"We must occasionally visit Chile and Argentina." Robin made a remark.
"This is more beautiful than I thought." Cathrin said when she too followed Robin outside, only this time she was inside a javelin and so was Sauvik as he came out wearing an Interceptor javelin.
"We need to come for camping around the country." Sauvik also spoke.
"He is 1.549 kilometers to the northwest. The country has previously received photographs from the military satellite overhead. There are no surrounding settlements within a 100 km radius of this tiny home. He has an off road truck which I believe he is using." Sigret offered a general description of the person they would be meeting.
Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
The reason they were in such a random place was because all this time they had been waiting for someone to work on the claims that David Rockefeller announced before he died. He said he would summon the aliens to their planet. Despite Robin's lack of interest, they did keep an eye on the signal component.
And now, more than a month after his passing, someone has really sent a message. The Novus and Nod issued a notification indicating the location of the signal's origin because the signal was strong enough to be detected by their radars.
"Since he had betrayed humanity, let's give him a very warm greeting." Robin stated while grinning. He then transformed into a white light beam and went off. Sauvik and Cathrin too took off with their javelins and so was Sigret.
After 3 minutes in the air, they touched down next to a log cabin. The cabin, which was made of strong logs, blended in seamlessly with its surroundings, appearing to have been created by nature herself. The exterior's old wooden structure, smoothed out by years of wind and rain, exuded a rustic charm. They appeared to be invited inside by a small porch that was furnished with a worn-out chair and a table. The lodge was extremely close to a small lake, and there was even a nearby farm where some veggies appeared to be grown.
Robin and the others carefully approached this lovely house after falling on the ground with a loud bang.
"There is only one person inside cooking at the moment. Oh, wait, that's a woman, not a man." Cathrin said as she used her highly developed thermal vision to view the wood cottage. Even at this sunny hour of the day, the eyesight could distinguish between a normal human body temperature and other nearby heat signatures.
"A woman?" Everyone was shocked since they had always intuitively assumed that a guy would be the one deferring to a dead man's severe instructions. They were a little taken aback by this, so the log cabin's door gently swung open with a stream. A woman who appeared to be in her 40s entered the room wearing a slipper, an apron over a regular top, and pants.
The Caucasian woman worked outside and procured her own food, which is presumably why her complexion was so tanned. The area was not particularly hot and was actually fairly nice at the time, which was a good thing. Everyone could see the woman's rough hands and feet even from a distance, which suggested she led a difficult life.
"Welcome visitors from afar." The woman said with a friendly smile. "I don't have much food with me but I did make some mashed potatoes. Please come in." The others were a little stiff after hearing the woman's words, but Robin and Sigret pretended not to hear anything bad and walked carefully inside the cabin, followed by the javelin armorers Sauvik and Cathrin.
The woman looked at the javelins in worder for a few seconds before walking in inside. Savik scanned the entire home and the horizon before going inside the cabin.
"JARVIS, send some drones to the area where we are."
"On it already, sir," JARVIS responded to Sauvik because Robin had given him permission to do so.
After entering, Robin sat down at the little wooden chair next to the haphazardly constructed dining table. Instead of sitting, Sauvik and Cathrin stood behind Robin, all of their weapons systems ready to fire at the woman at any moment.
"What kind of drink you like? I can only offer some herbal tea."
"A cup of tea is fine." Robin answered. "You have found a very good place for yourself?"
"Well what can I say. I needed to stay off the radar for quite a bit and this was the best place I could find. My father was a survival specialist and loved living in the most remotest area. I caught up on it and learnt the craft from an early age."
"That's really helpful. I wish I had been raised in that manner, but I assume it isn't always beneficial and can be risky.
"Not quite. There are some Chilla Fox around but they are very shy and hardly show up. Pudu are definitely a sight to behold because of their kind attitude." The lady responded. For a few minutes as she was serving the tea, Robin and the woman conversed. Suddenly, Robin remarked.
"You don't think I'll sip on this lethal tea, do you? Do you?" After taking a glance at the cup of tea that was being presented to him, Robin said.
"A woman can try, can't she after being put on kill on sight order by the most powerful nation of the current world order?" said the woman.
"You're correct. Self-defense is a right that belongs to everyone. But a person like you who betrayed humanity shouldn't have the right." said Robin.
"Humanity? Hahaha.. The human race? Humanity that kills one another, preys on the helpless, makes life unpleasant for the underprivileged, and exploits others." The essence of the word humanity was long ago lost. said the woman.
"Then why did you listen to the one person who does all of the criminal activities that you mentioned? Isn't that hypocrisy Mister X.. No.. It would be rather Miss X."
