Chapter 82: The Dangly Rope

Chapter 82: The Dangly Rope

The gang, squirrel included, was making their way through the jungle in the general direction of the squettle thieves. All the while, the fire behind them was spreading and consuming tree after tree. Mushpuff and Klumpkrump were at the front, talking about cat things. Plagiarize was walking and talking with Qaeron about bear politics. Hoofa rambled to Snorter about Gumpton and how severely he was being missed at this very moment. Snorter was nodding her head agreeingly but not really paying attention. She was thinking about how nice a baguette would taste right about now. Bird, meanwhile, was stuck at the back of the group with the squirrel.

“Y’know, squirrel, that bracelet was going to be mine originally.”

“Oh yeah??” he replied. “Well I guess it SUCKS be to you, then.”

“What’s it even do, yo?” asked Bird.

“Ya wanna find out?!” yelled the squirrel.

“Uh, yeah?”

The squirrel punched Bird with his braceleted arm. Bird was launched backwards with great force and luckily did not strike any trees. He landed on the ground painfully about 5 meters away.

“OW! Why would you do that, bro?”

“YOU ASKED FOR IT!!” shouted the squirrel. “DON’T ACCUSE ME OF ANYTHING!”

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

“Well, I mean, I assumed it wasn’t that dangerous if you were going to use it on me, yo!”

“WELL I’M A DANGEROUS PERSON!”

The gang and squirrel continued through the jungle for multiple minutes until they came upon a rope. This rope was dangling down from the trees above and nobody was able to see what it was attached to due to thick leaves and stuff.

“A rope!” exclaimed Plagiarize.

“Yup, that’s what that is,” Mushpuff said.

“Yes. And now, as my mother was always fond of saying, ropes were made to be pulled. So now I will pull it.”

“STOP!!!!!!” yelled the squirrel, coming to the front of the group.

“Why should I listen to you, squirrel?” Plagiarize asked in a questioning sort of manner.

“IT’S THE VILLAGE OF THE SQUETTLES! If they find out we’re here, they’ll KILL US ALL!!!”

“What sort of instruments will they employ to carry out this killing, might I ask?”

At that very moment, there was a woosh of air and a twangy sound. Everyone looked down to see an arrow lodged into the ground not 4 centimeters from the squirrel.

“AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!” yelled he, the squirrel, running away in a panic. Everyone else soon followed his demonstration. Many more arrows shot down at the ground as this happened, but luckily they didn’t hit anyone because of the great panic. Before long, everyone had scattered in all directions and nobody knew where anyone was anymore.
