Hoofa, Gumpton, Plagiarize, and Qaeron were now trapped (not by bears, though; that part comes later). Above them, a group of lizards had their Energy Cube, and all around them, more lizards from the shelter were now getting ready to shoot them with bows.

“Well geez, what do we do now?” asked Plagiarize in a question-ish sort of manner.

“I dunno, bro, like, die or something?” said Hoofa.

And then, when it seemed like things couldn’t get any worse, they actually got better because the gang’s spaceship crashed through the door of the hole everyone was in, killed the lizards at the top of the stairs, and crashed at the bottom of the hole. The staircase all fell apart and crashed down on top of it, and the Energy Cube landed on the ground right next to Plagiarize.

“Huh, how convenient,” said Plagiarize, picking up the cube.

“Kill them!!” shouted one of the lizards.

The door of the rock spaceship opened and Klumpkrump, Snorter, Bird, and Mushpuff were inside, yelling at Hoofa, Gumpton, Plagiarize, and Qaeron to come in, just as the lizards unleashed a flurry of arrows upon them.

The four people in the latter half of the list of people in the previous paragraph ran towards the open door of the spaceship. When they made it in, Mushpuff smushed a button with his paw, closing the door.

“Alright, is everyone good?” asked Snorter. “That was intense.”

“Yeah, let’s get out of here,” said Plagiarize, dropping the Energy Cube on the floor.

Once everyone had calmed down from the intensity of that whole situation, the engines were powered up and Bird steered the ship upwards. Upon exiting the hole they were in, everyone was greeted with the sight of a whole lotta Bearmy ships in the air.

“Aw, shucks!” said Plagiarize.

“We’ve surrounded that hole with an energy shield!” shouted a bear’s voice from one of the ships. “If you try to fly away, you’ll smack into it and die!”

“Yeah but we have an Energy Cube, bro!” said Bird through the rock spaceship’s speakers. “We can destroy your entire fleet in, like, five seconds!”

“Not for long,” said bear.

All of a sudden there was a loud zappy sound inside of the rock spaceship and everyone turned to the corner of the piloting room to see what caused it. Everyone gasped when they saw that a BEAR had materialized out of NOWHERE! The bear was a Bearmy soldier and wielded a bear sword. The bear grunted and aimed its sword at the gang.

“As you can see, there wasn’t a bear there before,” said the bear speaking from one of the ships. “But now… THERE IS!!! We attached a teleporter to your ship.”

“WHat?? How??” asked Plagiarize. He didn’t speak into the microphone, though.

“My friend has a question,” said Bird into the microphone.

“Okay, what is it?”

“WHat?? How??” asked Plagiarize, speaking into the microphone this time.

“We told some lizards to do it while you were in the pit thingy,” said the bear. “Because we gave them a BEAR PHONE to call us. Which is how we knew to come here in the first place.”

“OH NOOOOOOO!!!!” Plagiarize screamed.

“Wait!” Klumpkrump shouted into the microphone.

“Okay,” said the bear. The other bear (the one inside the gang’s ship) had been patiently waiting for someone to tell him what to do.

“Excuse me,” Klumpkrump said to the bear.

“Okay,” said the bear, moving out of the way. Klumpkrump grabbed the teleporter (it was shaped like a small disc and looked like it was made of some sort of metal-plastic hybrid), went to the door, and threw it out of the door.

As a response, the bear on the speakers screamed in a very high-pitched voice.

“That’s right, bear!” said Klumpkrump into the speaker.

“You’re not allowed to do that,” said the bear.

“I just did,” said Klumpkrump, causing the bear to scream again.

The bear inside the gang’s spaceship then received a call on his Bear Phone. He picked it up and answered. Since Bear Phones could only be on speaker, everyone in the ship could hear everything.

“Hi, this is Chunk,” said the bear in their ship.

“Grab their cube and kill them, Chunk!” said the voice on the other end.

“Oh, okay,” said Chunk.

“And make sure they don’t kill you instead!”

“On it.”

“And make sure they can’t hear this!”

“They probably can’t,” said Chunk.

Chunk hung up and was then vaporized by the Energy Cube from the paws of Klumpkrump. Unfortunately, the energy laser then went beyond where Chunk used to be and destroyed a bit of the ship’s wall.

“If you kill us,” said the bear through the speaker, “then you’ll be trapped in that little energy shield that’s around your ship. Surrender now!”

“You should zurrender, hmm?” Qaeron suggested to the rest of the gang. “I muzt get my locket back, yez?”

“But we don’t know what they’ll do to us!” said Mushpuff. “What if they kill us??”

“I know what happens, yez?” said Qaeron. “They take you to Bourt, bear court, yez!”

“Bourt??” said Klumpkrump.

“Bear court???” said Snorter.

“I guess we do have a hole in our spaceship regardless,” said Mushpuff.

“We surrender!” said Bird into the speaker.
