Chapter 13: The Bottom

Mushpuff was screaming at the floor of the cheese factory but he was abruptly silenced as Plagiarize landed on his head, followed by Snorter and then Bird. The bottom of the factory was still dark metal, but the only light sources were some fluorescent lights in the floor, and there were very few of them.

“What a long fall!” said Plagiarize. “How fortunate that we landed on a giant slice of cheese which cushioned our fall.”

“OMG I LOVE CHEESE!!” said Snorter, eating the entire slice.

“Guys, I think we need to run,” said Mushpuff.

“Why?” asked the other gang members simultaneously.

“Dragon,” said Mushpuff, pointing in a certain direction. In the direction he was pointing was a large glass box with a dragon inside of it. All the cheese conveyors fed directly into this box, where the dragon was busy chowing down.

This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.

The gang decided to run in the direction opposite of the dragon because they didn’t want to die. It just so happened that at that very moment, the factory came to a halt because of the lack of power from the glowing yellow cube because Bird knocked it out of place. The dragon roared in the distance because it was out of cheese. Then there was the sound of shattering glass.

“AAAAAHHHHHH!!” yelled Bird. “I knew this was a bad idea!”

The dragon unleashed a blinding breath of fire from its mouth, destroying tons of factory equipment and causing a lot of machinery to explode. A pipe directly above Plagiarize exploded, but he was fireproof because of reasons explained previously and he was able to survive.

The four friends continued on their path for all of 2 minutes before they reached the edge of the factory. The dragon was destroying everything in its sight because of its rage but hadn’t noticed them yet. The gang found a metal door on the wall but it was locked and they banged on it very loudly. Eventually it was opened for them and behind the door were four fish made of cheese, standing upright on their back fins.
