96. Lily's Temple

96. Lily's Temple

After they had been flying for 20 minutes Lily suddenly saw a landscape that was completely white, and it looked like it was covered in snow, but it didn't sparkle. When they got closer, she thought at first it was an area where you harnessed Spirit Flow but noticed that they looked like moon lilies that Ace had shown her when they first met.

In front of them was a huge area consisting of white flowers of various kinds and there was a large hilltop further away that had a large rectangular gold building that shone beautifully in the sun. Lily could see that they had to step on the flowers to get to the temple and wondered how on earth they got there without destroying them.

"Can we fly there?" she asked.

"Here you can only use Spirit Flow to move there." Jun De replied.

When she heard that she was suddenly relieved that she had unlocked the Flow Master and thought that maybe it was fate even though she didn't believe it.

She activated Spirit Flow but suddenly remembered that she had 0% Light Magic after reviving Baba Yaga's plants.

She looked at Jun De awkwardly and said, “I've run out of flow.”

He chuckled and said, “Get on me.”

As they flew Lily asked curiously, "You can harness Spirit Flow too?"

"No, it's part of the world I come from, so I naturally have Spirit Flow in me." Jun De replied.

Wow, she was surprised when she heard him and suddenly saw him in a different light. It suddenly dawned on her that everything was about Spirit Flow since it was human life now. There was even a Spirit Mother that people worshipped.

When they got to the temple, Jun De landed softly on the green grass that lay around it. When Lily got off him, she looked at the temple and looked at him afterwards but was completely startled because suddenly a tall and slim man with long white hair, pale skin and a white hanfu was standing next to her.

“W-who are you?” she asked confused because she couldn't see Jun De anywhere.

"It’s me." Jun De said.

“Are you Lily?” Lily asked still confused, thinking it was the woman perhaps in another form.

Jun De chuckled and said, “No you fool. I am Jun De.”

When Lily heard him again, she suddenly recognized his voice and looked at him with wide eyes. She walked around him and studied him closely. He was very handsome, and he looked divine a bit like Eco and wondered if they knew each other.

"Why are you in human form?" she asked.

"Animals are not allowed in the temple." Jun De replied, opening his right palm and showing it to her.

Suddenly a small white rose appeared, "Take it in your hair before we go in."

Lily didn't know why she had to wear it, but she trusted him and there was probably some kind of security alarm like when you shop in stores. She didn't want to offend anyone in a sacred area because she was afraid of angering the spirits. She didn't want to be chased by angry spirits. She took the white rose and put it on the right side of her head.

"If they look at you strangely, ignore them and if they ask you something, don't answer." Jun De said holding her right hand.

They walked towards the entrance to the temple which was many meters in front of them. No one was there but Lily guessed they were inside since Ace said people worshiped the woman named Lily here.

When they got to the entrance, she saw a huge white hall inside filled with people. It was quiet and she could sense a huge altar at the other end. They went inside and Lily was nervous because she was afraid of setting off some kind of alarm and walked with very careful steps. She noticed that people occasionally looked at her and that they were wearing hanfu and ancient Chinese clothes that she recognized from the wuxia world.

They walked to the altar which had a large white marble statue of a woman wearing a hanfu. She had long hair down to her bum and a flower in her hair and there was a butterfly in her palms which she held up. There was also a butterfly in her hair and on her left shoulder. At the feet there were white balls which were a little smaller than a bowling ball all around which looked like it formed a carpet of pearls.

“Is it Lily? She is very beautiful." she whispered to Jun De.

"Yes, have you seen her before?" he asked.

"I saw her in a temple in the undead area." Lily whispered.

“She was loved by everyone.” Jun De said, sighing, looking at the statue.

Lily sensed he was grieving for her and remembered that the world he came from had Spirit Flow. He had probably known her or had lived when she lived like Arba who couldn't possibly have been a puppet back then and was probably a normal demon.

Could it be the system that had caught him?

She looked at the statue again and her eyes fell on the face and the butterflies. That woman was familiar, and she was sure she had dreamed about her once when she was a child, but it had been so long ago that she had almost forgotten it. Why on earth had she dreamed of that woman because then it would mean that she could see into the future.

She wasn't surprised if she had some fortune teller in her since her mother was a real priest who had grown up in a temple in Kyoto. Her mother had always said that she was destined for something and that she had a connection to spirits and that scared the wits out of her. Maybe that was why she had become afraid of ghosts and anything to do with spirits.

As they were about to leave the statue Lily heard a woman's voice say, "Help me." and turned in fright and looked at the statue.

It was the same voice she had heard in the Holy Temple so did that mean it belonged to this statue?

Nah, she shook her head because statues couldn't talk.

"Come on let's go." she whispered to Jun De, and they went outside.

When they were far away from the temple, Jun De looked at her and asked, “Did you see something?”

She didn't know what to answer and replied, “No, the woman just looked familiar. Like I said, I saw her somewhere else.”

Jun De transformed into a dragon horse again and they flew towards Kahrlin.
