Lily looked at her killing quest and exclaimed, "Fuck me." when she saw her new quest:
2. Kill 0/50,000,000 human
But was relieved that there wasn't a time limit which made her distrustful because she didn't trust the system anymore. Even if there wasn't a time limit it would probably still punish her if she did something wrong.
Her first quest also bothered her because she didn't know who to start a war with. She looked at her goddess points and was pleasantly surprised:
Goddess Skills: 10 points
She chose not to touch the points and save them for another time.
She knew her system had made a copy of the Holy Grail and asked, "Can you make a copy of Triton's or Poseidon's trident?"
"Yes, but wouldn't you rather have the real thing?" replied the system.
Surprised and curious about the real trident, Lily said, "Can you show me the location."
Her interface opened and she saw a map with a red dot flashing. She clicked on it and a name appeared:
The Golden City.
She had never heard of it before and only knew of the myth of Atlantis, which she had always been fascinated by.
She looked at Aaron and asked, "Do you know the Golden City?"
"Yes, it's a myth." he answered.
Trusting her system, she sent the location to him and waited for his reaction.
Aaron was surprised and explained, "That area is just ruins but we can go there but it's at the bottom of the ocean and you can't breathe there."
Since Lily had the Fish Slayer, she could breathe without problems but she was afraid of meeting sharks and what if her body just couldn't stand being underwater for too long?
She knew that one's skin would wrinkle if one took too long a bath.
Aaron explained that it took many hours to swim there, but you could use the water current, which reminded of a water slide, which had fast currents that carried you to a new place and you had to get off yourself whenever you wanted.
She looked at Jun De who had no objection, so he had his own method of breathing underwater. They got ready to leave and they headed towards a certain area of the city that had a blue portal that they walked through. When they were on the other side Lily got a flutter in her stomach and her heart beat faster.
They were standing on a hill of coral and in front of them were countless white tunnels in a row that looked like water slides and there was a distinct flow of water in all of them that looked fast. They bent in different directions, and she couldn't see the end of them and didn't know how long they were but she trusted Aaron to know where they were going. She suddenly became nervous and looked at him and was reminded that they could end up separately in different directions as she had seen in horror movies.
"Do you have a strong rope that can hold us?" she asked.
“Use this here.” answered the system immediately and something lit up in front of her.
She took it out immediately and saw that it was a thin gold and very long rope that looked like it was braided with gold dust, and it looked absolutely magical.
Unbreakable Rope made by Master Blacksmith High Elf Aldon.
Wow, she was really surprised and wanted so badly to visit elf world right now, but that had to wait. She relied on elven craft and studied the rope more closely. It was braided and was almost as thin as a piece of hair.
"Let's tie ourselves up in case the current catches one of us and sends us in opposite directions." she said, handing the other end to Aaron.
She knew that Kenta automatically followed her, and that Jun De had his own method of survival since he was a Dragon Horse after all, so she wasn't worried about their safety. They tied it around the waist and Lily bet it would work. She could see endless water ahead of them and hoped it was a quick trip.
She looked at Aaron who she knew the way and said, "You show the way."
He nodded and took off his mask and started walking towards the right side, stopping in front of a slide. He jumped in and Lily was automatically pulled along as the current was very strong. They sped off and sometimes the tunnels curved to the sides and up and down and it really felt like sitting in a water slide and it tickled Lily's stomach and she started laughing out loud.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Aaron who was next to her couldn't help but laugh either because it also tickled his stomach. There was floating air bubbling out of their mouths when they laughed, and it looked pretty funny. Every now and then they would switch courses with Aaron lifting her with him and jumping off the slide and onto another. The current carried them all the time, so they didn't have to do anything but sit and change course.
After 2 hours Aaron moved to the left and they went outside the slides and Lily saw that it was completely dark all over but because of her class she had night vision. She noticed that Aaron also saw well in the dark and thought it was because of his Hidden class because he had probably unlocked a ninja class.
"We have to go down through that crack." he said pointing down where it was pitch black and looked bottomless.
Lily got chills when she saw it and was afraid there was a monster hiding down there. Suddenly she thought of her Kraken skill and suddenly wasn't so scared after all. If things went really wrong, she could always summon it so it could save them from a monster.
They began to swim downwards and after a few minutes Lily saw a large deep chasm that looked bottomless. They swam down through it and after many minutes Lily thought they had ended up in the wrong place and gone astray.
Suddenly Jun De said, "There are sharks here and they are not the kind you know from the human world."
Lily swallowed an extra lick of saliva and looked at Aaron who nodded at her as if he understood.
"Will they eat us?" she asked nervously.
"No because I'm a threat to them." Jun De replied, looking proud.
Lily didn't know if it was good or bad, but she felt safe at his words. When they got further down, they suddenly saw a long line that lit up and quickly swam towards it. Shortly after they came out of a crack and Lily saw a huge city with gold buildings that was inside a big white bubble that looked like a barrier.
“Wow, that's beautiful.” she said, admiring it.
Aaron was confused because in front of him lay a lot of ruins of buildings and said, "I only see ruins."
Knowing that it must be some kind of illusion for humans, Lily said, “Trust me. I show the way.”
They swam towards the town but when they were a few meters away, Jun De suddenly said, “You can't wade in there without permission. That will set alarm bells ringing.”
They stopped and looked at him and knew he was right. They were strangers and unwelcome and they had come to steal a trident on top of that. No one would let thieves in.
"So, what do we do?" asked Lily.
“I have a friend who lives there. Wait in there.” replied Jun De, nodding his head towards a small cave that looked like it was made of coral.
They immediately swam in there and the second Jun De left them, large black sharks suddenly began to appear. There were loads of them and they looked like a Megalodon. Their bodies were black, and their eyes and teeth were red, and it looked like chunks of flesh were hanging out of their mouths which had the sharpest and largest shark teeth Lily had ever seen in her life. Now she understood Jun De's words for the sharks had held back due to his presence. She was relieved that this cave hid them and looked towards the golden city, waiting for Jun Due to return.
"Have there ever been people who were curious about this place?" she asked.
"Yep, when they heard that there were dangerous sharks guarding some ruins, they quickly gave up." Aaron replied.
Lily was happy that they could communicate underwater, and it was definitely due to her Fish Slayer title, which was the first she had received when she woke up.
Shortly after, they saw Jun De swimming towards them with a merman where the lower part was a red fish tail, and the upper part was a human. He had pale skin, black hair, dark eyes and was a handsome young man. He was wearing gold armor and a black spear in his right hand.
Lily saw that the sharks had immediately started swimming away at a rapid speed. When Jun De and the merman approached them, Lily looked at the merman curiously. She had always wanted to see a real merman and was even in love with The Little Mermaid's story about beautiful merman and right now there was a beautiful one standing in front of her alive.
“H-hi.” she greeted, her cheeks blushing.
Jun De chuckled and introduced, “This is Damon. He’s the general of the royal guards.”
Wow, Lily now knew the man was an important person and suddenly felt awkward that she had come to steal his king's trident.
"Good day. May I hear why you want to come to my city?” Damon asked curiously, looking at her.
Jun De nodded at her, and she knew she had to be honest and cleared her throat and replied, “I came to steal a trident.”
"Okay. I’m helping you." Damon said.
Lily thought she heard wrong and asked, "Can you elaborate?" for he was a general who had to protect the trident unless he was engaged in a coup d'état which was illegal.
"There’s a false god sitting on the throne who has enslaved our entire people." Damon explained with a serious face.
Lily saw that he meant it, so it was indeed a coup d'état as she had guessed.
"Okay, but how do we get in there?" she asked.
Damon took out a small glass bottle that had something thick red floating in it that looked like blood. She accepted it immediately and had an idea of what they should do.
"Drink a drop both of you and you'll be one of us." Damon explained.
Lily nodded and opened the lid and saw a red drop float out and ate it immediately. She quickly put the lid back on and handed it to Aaron who repeated the same.
As he was about to hand the bottle back to Damon, he shook his head and said, "Give it to her."
Lily knew that meant he trusted her and took it in his space ring afraid the system would destroy it. She suddenly felt cramps in her legs and her body felt warm and looked down at herself. Suddenly, her legs began to transform into a fish tail with beautiful red scales.
“Wow. I’m a mermaid.” she exclaimed excitedly, her heart beating faster.
She suddenly felt irritation on her forehead and moved there, feeling her horn slowly begin to disappear. They never disappeared even though she changed appearance with her earrings so she was completely surprised that this blood could do that.
Was it the blood of a god she had drunk?
She looked at Aaron who also had a fish tail and he looked like a merman.
"You are ready now. Come, there is someone you must meet.” Damon said and they started swimming towards the golden city.
Lily's heart was beating fast in excitement and when they were outside the city Damon looked at Jun De and Kenta and nodded to them. Jun De turned into a human and afterwards into a merman with a white fish tail. Kenta transformed into a small colorful clownfish. Lily knew now that they really had to be careful since they had also hidden their true appearance.
What type of man reacted like the false king?
Was he stronger than Poseidon?
She suddenly became nervous but was also curious and excited to visit Poseidon's city which was a myth from ancient times.
