167. Saving Dwarves From A Paltry Life

A few minutes later, the stage was lit, and they saw a throne on which sat a dwarf with red armor and a golden crown. He had a long red beard with some braids and long red hair, and he had dark eyes and looked tense and worried. Suddenly, 5 dwarves entered the scene, all wearing armor and spears in their hands.

They bowed to the king and one knight said, “My king. The black beasts have destroyed the mines around the country and ours is the only stronghold left.”

The king sighed and went to them and said, “They came out of the blue and have destroyed everything around them. We can barely breathe our air and it's like they eat it too.”

Lily and the others followed the whole show excitedly and she only blinked a few times, afraid of missing an important detail. What had happened in the world of the dwarves reminded her of what Arthur had experienced. So, it meant that there were many beings that were trapped by the system and the dwarves were also one of them.

When the show ended Lily clapped loudly because she had really enjoyed it. She now had a better understanding of what was actually going on that no one else noticed.

"Come let's talk to them." she said, and they quickly packed up their things and went down to the stage which was open and went behind it.

They saw a group of 20 dwarves who were packing up their props and were busy and didn't notice them at all. Lily walked over to the nearest one who was stuffing wigs into a wooden box.

“It was a beautiful show.” she complimented.

"Yes, yes, thank you for that. If you could donate us some gold it would help instead of your words.” he said without looking at her.

Lily said out loud, "Wouldn't you rather do what you're good at instead of doing street performances?"

"We are in a different time sugar mouse." answered another dwarf carrying a box.

Lily knew dwarves were more stubborn than a donkey and for them to listen to her she had to offer them something first to catch their interest.

"If you work for me, you can do what you are good at." she said.

Suddenly they all stopped what they were doing and looked at her and blinked a few times. Their eyes widened when they saw Ace and Ezekiel and their eyes fell on Arba and Jun De. They looked at Lily again and their eyes fell on her horns and face.

“You are a human with horns. Are you half demon or what?” asked one, walking up to her.

“I'm a unique with a system and has 3 Hidden classes. I hope that explains it all.” Lily replied, choosing to be honest.

When the dwarves heard her words, the others also went to her this time with great interest. She could see she had caught their attention now.

"Tell me what's going on so I can help you as best as possible." she said, giving them a friendly smile that radiated something divine, and the dwarves were almost blinded by it and their cheeks blushed.

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

They all sat down behind the stage and Lily brought out beer and food for them and they began to tell everything that had happened to their world and how they had ended up in the human world. Lily mentioned to them what had happened to King Arthur and they now knew that she really had come to save them.

"So, you were cheated by the man with the contract." she said.

" Yeah. We should have read the fine print, but we were desperate, just like everyone else who has ended up in this world.” replied one of them.

Lily wanted to help them and asked why they were in this situation. After their explanations, it dawned on her that the humans treated them as alien beings and therefore only came to make fun of them. When they ended up here, they were stripped of their titles, backgrounds, tools and were forced to start over and earn their own gold because none of them could level up as humans. Their tools had been locked in a room that they were not allowed to take back.

"You can just steal them." Ezekiel said immediately.

They shook their heads and one explained, "There is a barrier that the system has set so we cannot approach that room at all."

"I understand these are your personal tools and weapons." Lily said.

They all nodded, looking at her anxiously to see if she had a solution. Lily thought twice when she heard that. So, there were people who had taken their personal belongings and the system had stripped them. They were treated as slaves which was unfair because they had talents better than humans and other beings that she would not let go to waste.

She suddenly had a devilish smile and said gently, "Let's steal them since we can touch them." and look at Ace and the others.

If they refused to help her, she would do it herself because she had come to free them from this horrible life.

"Even if you didn't mention it, we would have done it while you were sleeping." Aaron said chuckling.

The dwarves slept in a horse-drawn carriage, so they didn't have a fixed place to live. They took Lily and the others to a secluded residence on the edge of town that they could also stay in. They were given the location of the room that kept their things. They changed into black ninja clothes and put a dark scarf around their faces so that only their eyes were visible. Lily saw that Jun De was in human form and had also changed, which surprised her.

"Why do you want to come?" she asked curiously.

"It's racial discrimination." he replied, which she understood immediately.

Lily activated Assassin title and put on Hermes shoes and looked at the others who looked ready. The room belonged to the city lord, who was a fat man whom Lily wanted to rob as extra revenge, but that was not what they had come for. Fortunately, they were normal people who lived here, so they quickly snuck into his mansion without any problems. They arrived at a large black shed which was supposed to be the place where the dwarves' tools were. To make sure there wasn't a booty trap, they let Arba open the shed first. The door creaked softly but nothing happened. They saw that there were piles of weapons, tools and other shiny things and Lily hurried to take everything in her space ring and they hurried away afterwards.

When they got back to their home, they saw that the dwarves were sitting tensely in the living room, waiting for them.

Lily took out another space ring and put all their stuff in it plus a black card and gave it to them and explained its function. The dwarf with the red beard who had played the king in their performance was actually the real king and his name was Tuddaeg Battlehead who accepted the ring.

"Can I call you Tud because your name is long." she asked.

"Only because it's you." he replied, nodding.

Lily nodded and said, “I plan to free your entire race and other races.”

She had no transport method that could hold 20 dwarves unless she used Shun which she couldn't because he would attract attention.

She looked at Ace, but he was in his own guild and couldn't ask him for help. Her eyes fell on Arba who had found her in no time when she called him.

“Can you bring them to Kahrlin tomorrow?” she asked.

Arba nodded and she was relieved that he had a method to bring them with him. They all went to bed because it was getting very late.

As Lily and Ace lay in bed, Ace said, "You're too kind-hearted and it's going to be hard to save the whole world."

"I know that, but I can save those I can." Lily said, closing her eyes.

She knew very well that there was no world without suffering and even in the god world there was discrimination.
