A few hours later they saw a lot of very tall dark mountains that looked sharp and pointed and nothing was growing on them. At the bottom were deep canyons with large springs that flowed into large lakes. If you fell from this height you would die on the spot.
A few minutes later there were still a lot of mountains and suddenly they saw thick white clouds that Eco flew into. They flew up and where there were still thick clouds and suddenly, they came above the clouds and saw a huge gold city that stood on a platform which floated in the air. There were dragons of various colors and types flying around and some of them had armor and saddles on their backs. The city was bathed beautifully in the sun's rays and Lily was almost blinded by it.
“Wow. So beautiful." she said in admiration and was completely taken aback because it looked like something taken from a fantasy drawing.
"Only the dragon lord has access to this city, apart from the people who already lived here, who are the spiritual folk. They look like angels and have wings.” William explained.
Lily looked at the hatchling sitting in Celestia's arms and asked, "Is this your home?"
It blinked but said nothing, rubbing its head against Celestia's body.
They flew towards the city and landed at the edge of the gold platform and Lily looked down but could only see a thick layer of clouds. She was afraid of heights, so she got a rush in her stomach when she looked down but was not afraid of falling because she had Eco and the trident. She turned around and saw a huge gold castle in the center where the dragon lord lived. The question was whether he was a good or evil person, but the meeting had to show that.
As they walked through town, they were greeted by the people who didn't look at them strangely and Lily had an idea if it was because of Eco or the hatchling because it was a dragon. They all wore bright clothes and had divinely beautiful faces. They had large white feathers on their backs which made them look like angels as William had mentioned.
“Wow. They are all beautiful.” Lily said, having a hard time keeping herself from drooling over all the men who were giving her charming looks that were hard to resist.
If she didn't already have gorgeous men, she would have raped them all.
“Lily. You are the most beautiful here. All the men are completely smitten with you.” Celestia said giggling.
When they got to the palace there were angelic guards outside with white spears and swords wearing hooded cloaks.
Lily suddenly became nervous because they had come unannounced and looked at the angel on the left and asked, “Uhm. My name is Lily. Is the dragon lord home?”
The angel smiled beautifully at her and said in a gentle voice that sounded like he was singing, “The dragon lord has been waiting for your visit. Come on in." and pointed to the entrance.
They went inside and were met by people working there who brought them into the palace itself. They went through a lot of halls and large rooms and 10 minutes later they arrived in a story bright hall with big red columns all around. There was a huge long dark table where a very handsome middle-aged man was sitting. He had pale skin, dark eyes, medium long black hair and was tall and slim. He had a gold Civic Crown on his head, and he was dressed in red clothes from head to toe. He had no wrinkles on his face and radiated something majestic and almighty.
He stood up and walked over to Lily and bowed to her saying, “Welcome my lady. I have been waiting for you."
If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Lily was surprised and amazed at his behavior because he was a dragon lord who was seen as the strongest here, but he had bowed to her. She felt awkward because she should be the one to bow to him.
When she was about to bow to him, he immediately said, “I’m not worthy. Come and sit down. You must have traveled some time to get here.”
They sat down at the table and drinks and snacks were served to them. Lily saw a red cake of a dragon's head and immediately picked it up and looked at it. It was round and looked like a large locket and took a bite. It tasted like ginger mixed with cinnamon, which reminded her of her mother's Christmas cookies.
She looked at the dragon lord and said, "You probably know why I came here."
The dragon lord nodded and explained, "My name is Ballard Beaumont, and I was stabbed by a stranger and when I woke up, I was here." and told what had happened since then until now.
He had a family in another world and came from the strongest family in his world. Like this world, his world also had magic and he was the strongest wizard and was seen as the protector of the people. There was a war, and he was sure that it was an enemy who had stabbed him driven by revenge or jealousy. He had married the most beautiful woman in the world and there had been divided opinions about it because she came from a place called the Holy Palace. They were priestesses who were not allowed to marry, but he was once wounded and had ended up in their area, where he had been rescued by a priestess to whom he had proposed.
"I had been gone for far too long and the different worlds have different time zones." he explained.
Lily knew Ballard was old because he was older than Simon who was a saint so he could easily be 1000 years old or more and, in his world, maybe they were behind the times.
"So is your family still alive?" she asked worriedly.
Ballard nodded and replied, "It's a magical world so they have the opportunity to extend their lives by many years."
He looked at her with a serious face and said, “My daughter Gabrielle should still be alive, and I miss her. I need your help to get home.”
Lily happened to know a Gabrielle who was an Elder Mage, and she knew about coincidences and had started to believe in fate and mentioned it to him. She described Gabrielle's appearance and personality in precise detail to see if he could recognize her.
Ballard shed a tear and said, "I never got to meet her but that sounds like my wife's personality."
Now Lily resented the fact that she hadn't asked Gabrielle about her last name, but she knew not to pry too much into other people's privates.
She took out all the lost scrolls and laid them on the table, saying, "That's all I have."
Ballard took out a stack of scrolls and put them together with the others and suddenly they started flying around in the air and one by one they flew into a certain scroll and in the end, there was only that scroll left.
Lily grabbed the scroll but suddenly heard Eco say, "There is only 1 person who can enter that portal."
She knew that Ballard had been searching for many years and had a daughter who was waiting for him at home and looked at him and asked, "What about the dragons here?"
“They will be free. They helped me look for all those scrolls for many years.” he answered.
Lily nodded and gave him the scroll and explained where Gabrielle stayed and how the portal split all the worlds and then many were bound by a system. He was a powerful wizard, so he had his own method of pretending to have a system.
She handed him the scroll and said, "Tell Gabrielle I'm on my way."
Ballard nodded and said, "Thank you very much." and took off the Civic Crown and gave it to her.
Lily was confused and asked, "Why do I have to have it?"
He smiled and replied, “It can help you gather an army of dragons from this world.”
Lily already had a skill that could do that but it was from the system, so it was better to be on the safe side, so she accepted the Civic Crown and put it in the space ring.
Ballard threw the scroll into the air in front of him and suddenly a huge white portal appeared in front of them. He looked at Lily and nodded to her and walked through the portal which closed behind him.
Lily sighed and said, "I hope they are reconciled." and suddenly missed her mother.
She looked at William and Celestia but when she was about to open her mouth a woman suddenly appeared in front of her which gave her a huge shock of fright and she let out a small scream. She wore a long beautiful white dress with flowers and had a white flower wreath in her hair. She was wearing flower earrings and her skin was very pale and she had blue eyes. She floated in the air in front of her where her feet did not touch the floor.
Lily was immediately reminded of the White Lady but her here was a beautiful version.
"Greetings." she said bowing humbly to her.
