199. The Illegal Person

199. The Illegal Person

As Lily passed a window to her left her eyes fell on her own reflection and noticed that she had no horns on her forehead. She was happy and relieved because otherwise people would ask questions. What if they thought she was a dragonoid.

She now doubted whether it was the real world or whether it was an illusion because she always had horns on her forehead.

She remembered that to break an illusion or dream one always had to sacrifice something. Since she had her doubts and wanted to be sure it was an illusion there was only one way to test it.

“I just must check something. If things go wrong, I hope you can save me.” she said to Eco.

She went behind a building and took out a knife from the space ring. She looked down at herself and prayed that she would see Ace and the others when she opened her eyes again.

With the sharp knife in her right hand, she stabbed it in the left foot but was careful not to cut it off. Suddenly everything went black in front of her, and she passed out.

When she opened her eyes, she was lying on the ground and sat up and saw that it was the same place as before.

At least she tried and that meant she couldn't get away from here. She took out some water from the hot spring and poured it on the foot, which healed immediately.

Elsewhere in a dark room ten men sat around a round table wearing black hooded cloaks. There was a large white glass ball that stood in the middle of the table that lit up as they all stared at it.

"Someone has broken into our world." said one of the men.

He had a small black star under his right eye.

"We have to report to Master Grimwald." said another man who had a black star under his right eye.

A man stood up and hurried out of the room.

In a large library surrounded by shelves with various old books, an old man sat around a round wooden table. He had white hair and a long white beard and was dressed in gray medieval clothes and wore brown boots.

He had golden eyes and although he was old, he had no wrinkles. There was a little gold bird on the table that was sleeping. The man was reading a book and when he was about to turn to the next page a man suddenly appeared at the entrance.

“Master Grimwald. There’s someone who has broken into another world illegally.” said the man.

Grimwald closed the book immediately upon hearing that.

"Can you trace the person?" he asked, looking at the man.

"Yes, but it will take some time as the person is in two worlds." replied the man.

"Track the person as soon as possible and teleport the individual out. If there’s resistance, get rid of the person.” Grimwald said.

"Yes master." said the man and disappeared.

What idiot has the balls to sneak into our world, he thought, shaking his head.

Lily didn't know how to earn money because she couldn't do manual labor so was it possible to use Poseidon's abilities here?

In their eyes she would look like a goddess unless they had magic to fix everything, but she knew that didn't exist even in perfect worlds because a perfect world didn't exist.

Suddenly she heard a man say, "Have you heard that there’s a drought south of the city again?"

“Yes, it’s the same area. Even if they fix it, it always comes back, and nothing can grow there.” said a woman.

If Lily could use the trident and create horses, she could also create springs and help with the drought, but it was not to be done for free. She went to the group having the conversation which consisted of 3 men and 3 women.

“Excuse me, where exactly is that area?” she asked because she didn't know how big the area was.

"It can be seen clearly from the sky when you move there." replied a woman.

Lily said thank you and bowed to them but as she was about to leave, she heard one of the men ask, "Do you want to hang out with us?"

She politely declined, "I'm more interested in saving nature."

To her surprise, the man didn't get mad but happy and said, “Actually, we were on our way there. We’ve been recruited by a saint to help revive the area.”

Lily was happy when she heard that it meant they were magicians she could learn a little from and nodded and said, "We can go there together."

She saw one of them create a cloud out of the air in front of him and another created a large gold magic circle, and she could figure out that they would have to fly there.

She looked in her space ring and saw the trident and commanded it to grow small at 5 centimeters and took it out. She wasn't a mage like them, and they would ask questions if she didn't use magic in a world with magic.

Where on earth was, she going to hide the trident that no one would discover?

Did they have magical things here like spells?

She looked at the man with the dark hair who had created the cloud and asked, “I come from the country. Is it normal to use magic wands here?”

He nodded and replied, "Yes, it's quite normal here." and smiled.

As she was making the trident grow bigger, she heard him say, "You can be with me."

She put the trident back in the space ring and went to him and they flew off. She looked around and noticed that they were all wearing white clothes and there was a gold cross on the front.

She looked at the man to her right who had black hair, pale skin and dark eyes. He was tall and slim and a handsome man. He was wearing a white hooded cloak and she looked around at the others flying around them and noticed that they were all beautiful people. Since they had been invited by a saint it meant that they were strong and now it wasn't that surprising that they were all beautiful.

"My name is Allan." introduced the man.

“My name is Valerie.” Lily said.

"Do you intend to apply to the Academy of Magic?" Allan asked suddenly.

When the others heard him, they looked at her curiously.

Lily didn't know if the man was blind because it was obvious, she was 32 years old and not a teenager.

Why on earth would she waste time joining an academy?

She cleared her throat and replied, "I'm too old." and coughed.

The woman flying to her left had long blonde hair, pale skin and blue eyes said, "Any age can join the academy and they are only interested in ability and not background."

Lily had no reason to join an academy and said, “Unfortunately, I don't have time for that. I’m looking for the dragon lord.”

They were all surprised and now more curious than before.

"A tournament will be held in a month where the winner will win an audience with the dragon lord himself. The academy is supported by the dragon lord.” explained the woman.

A month was too long for Lily, but she could always sign up and see if she would be accepted. She had no natural magical abilities, so she didn't know if they had a magic crystal ball to check her mana or something. There was definitely some kind of entrance test, and she wasn't sure she could pass.

"Okay. I will consider that. Why do you ask that? We are strangers.” she said.

“We just want Lady Celestia to lose.” said a woman with short brown hair.

Lily was sure Celestia wouldn't end up in this world so was it the same woman or someone else just with the same name?

To make sure, she asked about it and they described her appearance as a perfect fit for that Celestia from the other world. That meant she was in some sort of parallel world, but did that mean William, Ace, Eco and the others also existed?

No wait, Eco wouldn't exist as he was stronger than a god, but Ace and William were normal people, so it was possible now that Celestia was here.

She gave a beautiful smile and said, “I have a hen to pluck with that woman so now I’m very interested in joining the academy. Explain to me later how it happens.”

One man chuckled and said, "Everyone has a hen to pluck with her as she has offended too many."

"We're already students there and look forward to showing you around." said the woman with fair hair.
