When they had said their goodbyes and were back in their world Lily looked at the map and saw Merlin was in Amenale where Avalon was located. She didn't know his personality and didn't know if he would even help her break out of a prison that didn't have an entrance and besides, she didn't have the location for it.
As they stood on the platform in Amenale, Kenta suddenly said, “Avalon is located in the center of an area called Zero Ground.”
"What is it?" Ezekiel asked curiously.
Lily could almost guess what that meant and answered for Kenta, "It's forbidden to use abilities so it's the same as being stripped naked, correct?" and looked at him.
Kenta nodded and replied, "That's exactly what it means and there are beasts living there that protect the Crystal Lake and Avalon is located in that lake."
Lily looked at Ace and the others and knew they weren't strong enough and her eye fell on Arba knowing he was strong, but the question was if he was stripped of his powers as well.
When Kenta saw her looking at Arba he said, "He's a puppet so he's not seen as a living being so that's your luck."
Whew, Lily breathed a sigh of relief when she heard him and was relieved because they would all be normal people in ground zero and couldn't possibly defend themselves against the beasts.
She looked at Ace and Ezekiel who she knew would see Avalon but to make sure they were sure of their choice she asked, "You guys haven't changed your mind?"
Ace shook his head and replied, “No. We will go with you.”
To their horror they heard Kenta say, “Those beasts are known as soul eaters and if they eat your soul, it’s gone forever. The Soul Lords cannot help you.”
Lily immediately became nervous and held Ace's right hand.
Not wanting to kill herself to meet Merlin, she cleared her throat and said, “Let's drop it. We have already met King Arthur and even sat at the Round Table.”
"Okay. That sounds good.” Ace said, breathing out a sigh of relief.
As they were about to turn around, Lily heard a voice and was so startled that she let out a small scream.
You must visit Merlin in Avalon. If you fail you will be punished.
"Fuck me." she shouted, stopping.
Ace and the others also stopped and looked at her confused and Ace asked, "What's going on?"
Lily cleared her throat and replied very annoyed, "I have to visit Merlin since it's a quest now." and coughed.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
Not wanting to risk the others' lives, she asked them to go home without her, but Aaron, Ace, Ezekiel, and Alicia refused to let her go alone. They said goodbye to the other 2 from the group and Lily took out the map and found the location.
When Ace saw the place he said, "It’s several days' journey from here."
Lily had not packed food for longer journeys, so they had to stop at a town or village each day to rest and replenish food in their space rings. She knew dragons were faster, but they couldn't use Shun now to travel because he would attract attention and she was especially afraid of attracting a god. She would also get tired in the ass from sitting on a horse for so many hours and sighed. Her Holy Servants would also attract attention and she didn't want to implicate them. She missed the mantra ray that Fergus had because it was soft to sit on.
She blew the whistle and summoned The Chicken King and asked if it could be made big and flat a bit like a basket so they could sit on it without falling off.
"You want me to do what?" it asked in disbelief and became irritated.
Lily knew that with that answer it meant it could be done and threatened, "I'll hand you back to Baba Yaga if you disobey." with a serious face.
The others didn't know what was going on and why on earth Lily had summoned a big fluffy chicken that she was arguing with now.
The chicken cleared his throat and said, "Fine." and pouted and looked offended.
Lily was happy and looked at the others and explained why she would rather sit on something soft when they had to travel for such a long time. The chicken expanded and became a soft basket with a high edge so you could lean without falling off. They all settled down and it took off and flew upwards.
" Tch. I can't believe I'm being treated like a basket case. It’s violation in the worst way and it has destroyed my manhood.” complained the chicken.
Lily who was sitting in Ace's lap with a big black warm blanket over her looked at it and giggled as the others started to laugh.
"You're still in the chicken stage so you shouldn't have a manhood yet." she said, thinking it sounded completely silly in her head.
She suddenly became curious why it tried to avoid Baba Yaga when she mentioned the name and asked curiously, "Why don't you want to go back to her?"
Chicken suddenly became nervous, and Lily swore she could feel its body shaking all over and was afraid it had panicked.
Was that a taboo name for it?
"She has fattened me up so she can cut off my beautiful legs when I grow up to be used to lift her house." replied the chicken, frightened.
Lily and the others thought they had heard wrong and again couldn't hold the mask and started laughing out loud.
The chicken got mad and shouted, “It's true. I have no reason to lie.”
They all stopped laughing and enjoyed the view instead. They had brought out blankets and pillows to keep warm because the wind on this hill was very cold but refreshing. As Lily looked around at them all she had a nice feeling inside. She felt that she had made close and loyal friends even though they were strangers to her in the same way. She knew Ace but not personally since they never hung out as she didn't have the luxury of time. They knew nothing at all about each other's backgrounds and she was surprised that he had never asked if she dated other men.
Could it be because of her system and class that he didn't ask about it or was it because he was afraid of hearing an answer he didn't care for?
Since he didn't ask about it, she wouldn't bring it up unless it was necessary. Many misunderstandings could arise with silence, but she knew he trusted her and didn't doubt him for a second. He always supported her with her choices compared to William who always scolded her.
"Thank you for coming along. Now I'm not so lonely.” she said and meant it.
Ace hugged her and said, "Even if the others didn't come, I would have come with you."
Lily's class was a demon and Ace was a completely normal human, so she had left alone if it was final. She would never let Ace go if it was just to avoid loneliness. She still had Arba who could speak and had intelligence better than a human.
