Lily looked at the black book and asked, "Where can I drop it off?"
"Here." replied the system and suddenly a map appeared on her interface:
The Village of the Thousand Mountains
Lily repeated it to Fergus, and they flew off. She looked at him and realized that he was useful and a perfect guide. She could use him in the future, but they only had a 7 day slave contract and she sighed.
"You know everything here and you would be a good guide for me but..." before she could finish her sentence, he cut her off, "It would be an honor to be your guide and then I can also spend more time with Camelia. She’s very cute."
Lily wanted to bring them together but remembered that she was a unique.
She looked at him again and was about to open her mouth but heard him say, “I know. Camelia told me.”
Wow, that man was fast.
Was he a mind reader or something?
"Okay, that saves me the trouble of explaining." she said smiling and breathing a sigh of relief.
After 10 minutes, she saw countless beautiful mountains of different heights and different kinds of colors. On some of them there was a mist, and she was reminded of ancient China or Hạ Long Bay and it was an incredibly beautiful sight.
"This is the Village of the Thousand Mountains." said Fergus, pointing down at the town before them which stood on a green hill.
It looked small, but that was because they were up high.
"It’s beautiful." Sapphire said enjoying the sight.
As they got closer Lily saw that the buildings were white, and it looked like cement houses but when they landed, she saw that they were white bricks. It looked like they had been polished with something magical because they sparkled in the sun like crystal. The roofs were green and almost all the buildings looked alike, and you could easily get lost if you didn't know the place. There were two large white towers with green pointed roofs and the one on the right was a bell tower. A large gold bell hung inside it, and it looked quite expensive. She wondered how much gold had been used to make that bell.
"We are going towards the mountain behind the town, but we must not fly here as it is a sacred place. It's a deity who owns it and if you don't follow the rules, he kills them." Fergus said.
Lily was surprised by his phrase 'kill them' because it sounded like another insane stutter but he was a deity after all, so she wasn't surprised.
“Now it makes sense why the town is so quiet. It doesn't look like there is any activity here.” she said looking around.

She couldn't see a single person walking around town and thought it was strange.
"There is a barrier you have to go through to get in, but you have to get permission from the deity first, so we have to bypass the town as only I have an invitation." said Fergus.
Lily now resented that she had no other advantages besides her system and sighed. Luckily the town didn't look big, and they started walking to the right and around it.
After 2 hours they were still walking, and Lily's legs were getting tired.
Small town?
She took the words back because it was all a lie.
Was that deity an illusion master?
An hour later they reached the town, and she looked down and saw a small white house with a brown thatched roof. It had a chimney and looked very primitive. When they were on their way down to the house she wondered if it was still a sneaky man like the other two. She wasn't looking forward to meeting him, but she was forced to hand over that book to him whether she wanted to or not.
She looked at Fergus and asked, “Will he even let us meet him? We won't get killed right?”
"I haven't met him before, so we'll have to see." Fergus replied, chuckling.
When they came down to the house there was a small pond with koi fish, and they were beautiful. There was a huge white crane standing next to it staring at them and Lily felt uncomfortable. It felt like a stalker and was afraid that man was watching them like in movies.
As they were about to move towards the house, they heard a woman's voice say, "Where do you think you are going?"
Lily was startled and she was sure she felt her heart skip an extra beat. She wasn't stupid and knew koi fish couldn't talk so it was the stalker crane. She looked at it and saw that it was staring at them.
" Greetings, almighty old wise man. I came to deliver something to you.” she replied politely and bowed to it.
When she saw that the crane did not answer, she panicked and immediately fell on her knees and humbly said, “I can be your slave but only for a day as I don't have time to be bound to you forever. If it is, I can bathe you and polish your beautiful feathers and I can even cook for you as I am an excellent cook. I can slice fish like a sushi master.”
She laid down on the grass and pressed her head to the ground, hoping it wouldn't punish her. She'd already had enough of the two studs and didn't want to offend a third. Suddenly she heard the crane start to laugh loudly and she looked at it.
"I didn't think there was someone so shameless in the world." it said.
When Lily heard that she was confused and afraid that her words were not enough.
"Should I lick your beautiful long stilted legs that look like beautiful snow poles? Don't worry my tongue is clean.” she said humbly.
The crane laughed again and said, “Stop. It is enough. He is behind the house. You remind me of my master in his younger days.”
Fergus walked over to Lily and helped her up immediately, now admiring her even more.
So, she could also be humble when she had to be.
"Thank you, almighty crane." Lily said and they went behind the house.
She wondered why it let them pass because it could have denied them entry.
Yes, being shameless paid off and she was self-taught to survive.
When they came around the house there was a small garden and a round white granite table, but Lily's eyes immediately fell on a man standing with his back to them. He was completely naked and had long white hair that went well over his bum. Suddenly she could smell alcohol because her nose was very sensitive.
She cleared her throat and said, “Greetings almighty naked man. I come to deliver something to you.”
“Leave.” the man said immediately without turning around.
Damn, she was shocked by his words but didn't give up.
"It's a book from the Elder Mage Grimwald." she said.
Since they were friends, he would not reject her when that name was mentioned.
“Go to hell. I hate the old fox. He only bothers me with books” shouted the man and turned around in anger.
Wow, Lily felt almost blinded when she saw his forepart and quickly looked away.
