As they flew the man could smell Lily's scent because they were sitting so close to each other, and he had his arms around her. He could feel her soft petite body and knew she had good shapes. His cheeks flushed and his heart beat faster and his nose could smell her hair which smelled like a flower bed. He was not a perverted person and was a gentleman and hated the opposite sex, but he admitted she was really irresistible, and it was hard to control his feelings. He knew all types of people in the world and had never bumped into someone like her before and especially not someone with such a beautiful face.
She was not interested in him and wondered when all other women always fell head over heels for him.
“My name is William.” he introduced.
“No, you are Stalker-san.” Lily replied, pouting.
When William heard that he was annoyed because he didn't want to give her a negative impression of him.
“Why am I a stalker?” he asked.
“You chased me here.” Lily replied looking at Kenta who was flying to her right.
"I happened to also enter the same dungeon because I promised to help some friends." defended William.
Lily didn't believe him and didn't say anything.
"Why are you called LickMe?" William asked.
"My mother had a wet dream before I was born." Lied Lily because there was no way she was going to reveal her advantage that she could change her name at any time.
"I feel sorry for you. I am sorry to hear." William said in a mournful voice.
This man is a complete idiot, Lily thought irritably.
She didn't answer him and instead looked ahead and down at the beautiful landscape.
"You're not very talkative." William said.
Can't he just shut up and let me enjoy this great view, Lily thought.
He had given her a lift so she had to show her manners because she was well behaved.
"Thank you for allowing me to travel with you." she forced the words out.
"You're welcome. I will still persuade you to join my guild even if you refuse time and time again.” William replied chuckling.
If she joined his guild he could get to know her better because he knew from experience that she was not a simple person. He had never seen a horn on his head as an accessory except for costume parties so she was very interesting in his eyes. She came out of the blue and got to rank 17 and wondered how it was possible because he had checked her party members earlier and they had never made the rank list before.
After 5 minutes they landed in the city again at the obelisk and when they got off the griffin William looked at her and knew she wanted to get away now. He sighed but suddenly they heard a stomach rumble and he looked at her stomach.
Embarrassing, Lily thought, her cheeks blushing and looking away.
"Are you hungry?" William asked.
Lily was about to decline but remembered that this person was definitely exceptional and therefore had access to all the good places.
If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
"Yes, but since I was blessed recently, I can't eat in fancy places." she replied awkwardly.
William smiled and said, "Come, I know a good place."
They started walking Lily noticed people giving them looks and she knew they were staring at William because she was wearing a mask.
"I'm picky so usually only eat here." William said, ignoring people's stares.
After they had been walking for 5 minutes, William stopped and said, "This is the place." and pointed to his right.
There was a big, nice gourmet restaurant next to them. The building was black, and it looked like polished granite and it glistened in the sun. When they went inside, people immediately looked at them and they went to the counter where there were a lot of people who were busy with everything.
When one of the women saw William, she stopped what she was doing and asked, “Lord William. Welcome. What can I do for you?"
"I'd like the usual table." William replied.
The woman went around the counter and took 2 menu books with her, and they followed her. They were placed in a corner which was surrounded by pots with small bonsai trees and cherry blossoms by a large window facing the street.
When they sat down the waiter asked, "What would you like to drink?"
Lily didn't know what they served in a fantasy city and only knew about soda drinks from her previous world.
William could see she was confused and said, "2 lemonades please."
The waiter nodded and walked away.
"Thanks." Lily said.
She took the menu book and leafed through it and saw all kinds of dishes she had never seen before.
She looked at William and asked, "I just try what you usually order but I can't stand the following." and started listing foods she was allergic to due to her hay fever.
William confirmed that what he was eating did not have those mentioned and she breathed a sigh of relief because otherwise she would have to throw up a foreign dish from the menu.
Later, when the food arrived on the table, Lily looked at her plate in surprise.
It looked like roast beef with potatoes and some brown sauce and there was a white ball that looked like potatoes and cream mix that was topped with spring onions. There were green asparagus and carrots that she knew about. It looked like food from the old world and was about to start eating but was reminded she was wearing a mask.
When William saw her hesitate he said, "Don't you like it?"
"Can I eat with a mask on?" Lily asked, now really sounding like a noob.
"It is only for disguise so that others cannot see your face. You can eat with it on.” William replied chuckling.
He never hung out with people like her because he was always surrounded by the strongest people in the world. It was something new and different, but it had been a long time since he had enjoyed it so much. He had never met someone who rejected him like that and now he was even more interested in her.
Lily cut out a piece of meat and tasted it and to her surprise it went right through the mask as if it was invisible. She felt her mouth and her lips. The food tasted heavenly, and she smiled. She had never tasted such good food before and ate faster.
"There is more if it is so you can take it easy." chuckled William.
When Lily heard him she looked at him and asked, "Why were there so many at that boss?"
"As you can see it gives class buffs and everyone comes for damage boost but only top 100 in Sanszhin can get that buff." William replied.
Lily was reminded that her rank was no. 17 and knew it wasn't herself who had done the damage and she wasn't completely stupid and knew it must be the devil she had summoned. Since it was her skill, it meant that the damage it dealt was the same as if it came directly from her. It would be useful in the future, but she knew from the first devil that they were only on loan. She was afraid that in the future one of them might leave her in the middle of a boss fight so she couldn't depend on them.
"Interesting. As you can see, I am brand new.” she said smiling and continued eating.
It was a good idea to keep him as an acquaintance because he had knowledge of everything, but she refused to ask him because she had called him a stalker earlier. She was so shameless now, especially not with a stalker.
When they had eaten they stood outside the restaurant and looked at each other.
“Thank you for paying.” Lily said.
She didn't try to make eye contact with him because she knew with the Elias episode that even if she was considering a target it would show that she had chosen a target. There was no way she could have him as a target, especially not when he was so popular here.
"Can I add you as a friend?" William asked.
"Sor…" but before Lily could refuse she heard a voice say:
Guild Master Lord William has added you as a friend
She was shocked that you couldn't reject a friend request. She wanted to check if there was a blacklist later not because she wanted to do it to him but just in general for more stalkers in the future.
"I have to go now. Have a good day." she said and walked away.
She hurried to walk faster because she was really afraid he would stalk her now that they were friends. She didn't hope he could call her 24 hours a day, because then she would have to blacklist him.
