To avoid Amelia catching up with them, they hurried to fly on towards William's home.
4 hours later they arrived at a large white castle and landed at the gate. They were greeted by guards and went inside. They greeted people at the palace and quickly found the scroll. They told the people at the castle if Amelia came by, they should tell her that they had flown east as they had heard that there was another dragon egg there. William had a short conversation with the people and explained what would have to be done if he traveled with Lily to her world.
They hurried to fly on and 7 hours later they reached Celestia's home which was a large farm in the countryside with many acres of land. They found the scroll and Celestia explained to her foster parents that she planned to live in Lily's world and afterwards they hurried to fly on. It was morning and neither of them had slept all night afraid that Amelia might track them although they doubted it. Eco was stronger than her eagle and therefore could fly faster.
They found a small village located in a beautiful mountain area surrounded by springs and rice fields. They rented a small place so that there was also room for Pegasus, and they had put a soft white blanket in a small wicker basket with a hanger for the hatchling to sleep in. They had Eco wake them up when it was evening and went to sleep. Lily and William slept in a bed together and Celestia slept in a bed in the same room.
When they woke up it was evening, and they chose to go sightseeing in the city and find a local restaurant and have dinner. The hatchling had been hiding in between Lily's breasts with Eco. Since William and Celestia had a familiar face, they had put on white hooded cloaks, so it was harder to see their faces.
They found a small cozy place and ordered a lot of small dishes that they could share.
Lily wondered how she could bring William and Celestia with her without them being detected. When she asked the men, they had answered no but Eco had said it was possible and she trusted him more than them.
"Where are the other scrolls?" she asked.
“The orc tribe has one and the sylph queen also has one. We don't know where the rest are as there is a reason, they are called lost scrolls.” William replied.
“I think the academy has one.” Celestia said.
Lily wanted to contact Simon when they got back to find out if there was actually one there and if there was, why hadn't he mentioned it to her?
"Why didn't Simon say anything when we left?" she asked.
"It's only a rumor that the academy has one and if Simon knew it existed, he would give it to you." Celestia replied.
When they had eaten, they went back to their place and Lily contacted Simon. He said it was just a rumor but if it existed it was hidden behind an illusion barrier that he couldn't break into. Even though Lily was an illusion master with her white hanfu she wasn't sure she could also break an illusion that wasn’t her own.
Was it possible to trap an illusion in her own illusion?
It sounded crazy but anything was now possible, and she could always test it because if she couldn't break it, she could steal it. She told the others about her theory who immediately backed her up. They then went to bed and planned to get up in the morning the next day.
They were awakened at 10.30 by Eco and they got ready and flew off towards the orc tribe who also had a scroll. Lily had no idea how big the world was, but with Eco she felt like she could fly around the world in a day.
"How fast are you Eco?" she asked curiously.
"As fast as you want me to be." he replied proudly.
Lily laughed goofily and now knew that he could fly at the speed of light but had deliberately chosen to fly slowly so that she could see all the places they flew by. Eco had been thoughtful, and she felt that she was close to him even though he wasn't here physically because she had Eco. It was nice to live without a system that always forced her to quest, and she wanted to enjoy it now while she could. She told William and Celestia about the stupid system she had in her world, and they started laughing.
"My lady. You have humor but we don't know about gaming here as we have magic.” Celestia said.
"You don't have to call me my lady anymore. You are now my friend, so call me by my real name.” Lily said and because she felt awkward now when Celestia called her lady.
She had already admitted to her that she was two-faced, so she had been honest with her and that meant she had really submitted to her. When she heard system, she was reminded that William and Celestia didn't have a system here so would they automatically get one when they arrived in her world?
You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.
She didn't want them to get caught up in it because she was still worried about the way the soul lords were exploiting their souls. When she asked Eco about it, he explained that they would not get a system as it was automatically given to the human when the portal came. She was relieved when she heard that, and she could see that William and Celestia were too.
"I would like to have a class." Celestia said pouting cutely.
Lily got curious and asked, "Which class did you have in mind?"
"Either summoning or something where I was powerful so someone who controls souls." Celestia replied, giggling.
Lily was surprised by her answer, but it meant that the two Celestias really had two different personalities despite their similar appearance. She wondered now if William was a little different too. So far, their personalities were very similar, but she was fine with that.
4 hours later they saw a mountain area where there was a round village with a dark wall. There were a lot of wooden houses where green creatures with pointed ears walked around. They wore normal human clothes, but they were all big and many looked powerful and all the men carried around different colored clubs. They had different hair colors and hairstyles, and it looked like a huge village.
They landed a little way from there and walked slowly towards the village which was on the other side of what looked like a deep ravine but when they got closer, they saw it was a big trench with water. There was a suspension bridge that you had to cross to enter the village, but it was not down.
"Who are you?" shouted an orc suddenly on the other side.
They looked up and saw two lookout towers, one on each side with 3 orcs on each side looking at them. They had spears in one hand and a black longbow on their backs.
“I am Lady Celestia, and this is Prince William.” Celestia introduced and they all bowed to them.
The orcs looked at William go Celestia and suddenly their eyes fell on Lily, and they were all surprised. They immediately noticed the hatchling sitting on her right shoulder.
“Are you the dragon princess?” asked an orc.
"Hell no." Lily replied annoyed because she didn't want to be compared to an immature brat.
"Then why do you have a dragon?" he asked.
Lily explained that she was searching for the lost scrolls and planned to find the dragon lord and have a talk with him.
Suddenly they heard a creaking sound, and they heard the sound of chains and saw the dark wooden ramp descend slowly. It landed with a bump, and they walked over it and into the village.
They followed one of the orcs who would bring them to their leader. They said that normally they kept to themselves and didn't have contact with people because they were smug but when they saw that Lily had a dragon on her they knew she had come to save them.
Lily was confused because she didn't come to save them but if that's what she had to do to get that scroll she was happy to do it. The question was just whether she had the powers since she wasn't a god.
When they had walked for a few minutes, they stood in front of a white huge house which had two white statues of dragons sitting on four legs outside on either side. The dragons had large wings and had open mouths where the teeth were visible. They had horns on their foreheads and spikes on their backs and tails.
Lily had an idea that they worshipped the dragons here since there were those statues.
The orc looked at Lily and said, “Wait here.” and went inside.
A moment later he came outside and nodded to them, and they all went inside. They walked through a small corridor and suddenly they saw a huge white hall in front of them where an elderly orc was sitting on a red throne carved out of wood. He was wearing a red robe and a necklace with white skeletons around his neck, and he had a red ribbon around his head which was tied at the back. He had dark eyes, white between long hair and was tall and slim and stood out from the rest of the people because they were all either chubby or a little heavy.
"Greetings almighty leader." Lily said and they knelt and bowed to him.
The orc raised his right hand and said, “Get up. I need your help so I should bow to you.”
They stood up and looked at him and Lily could see wrinkles and it looked like he hadn't slept in a long time as there were deep bags under his eyes.
"What can I do for you, my lord?" she asked.
"My name is Urug and my little brother Karrghed has stolen the lost scroll. He has also stolen our first ancestor’s artifact that belongs to me when our grandfather appointed me as leader.” Urug explained, sighing deeply.
Lily could understand that there was a war between the orcs and whoever had the artifact could control all the orcs it seemed.
"Why hasn't he killed you or captured you?" she asked.
"There is a barrier that keeps my village safe from the outside world that he didn't know about that I got from our father before he passed away." explained Urug.
Lily nodded and said, “I'm assuming you want me to steal that artifact for you?”
Urug nodded and said, “That is correct.”
Lily thought twice because she had been tricked by deities before who were two-faced and what if his brother said the exact same thing as him.
So, who was she to trust?
"I can see you doubt my words." said Urug who had noticed her reaction.
He looked at the hatchling and said, "If I'm a bad person it won't come near me."
Lily took the hatchling off her shoulder and placed it on the floor in front of her, nodding to it as a sign that it should go to Urug.
It blinked a few times as it looked at her and turned to Urug and slowly walked over to him. It sniffed at his feet and suddenly it started rubbing up against him and it smiled and looked happy.
Lily let out a sigh of relief and said, "How did you know it had that ability?"
"Dragons are smart even if it's a hatchling they can't be fooled." replied Urug, picking up the hatchling in his large left hand and eating it with his right hand.
“This one looks quite special. It is possible that this one has some royal blood in it. You must have been lucky.” he said, smiling.
“I tend to be lucky.” Lily said proudly.
Urug gave her a map of where his brother lived and explained that only an orc could enter so she had to disguise herself as one.
William and Celestia looked at him like he was crazy, and William said, “She's human and not green. It’s impossible even with an illusion since your brother is a very powerful shaman.”
Urug looked at Lily and said, "I'm sure you have a solution."
