116. The Lolita-Killer And A Big Surprise

As it got late in the afternoon it was still packed with people and Lily guessed they were waiting for the guild leaders to come back again. Suddenly she overheard people at the table behind her talking because she recognized the word Lolita when it was mentioned.

She turned and looked at them. It was a group of 5 people consisting of 3 young girls and 2 young men.

"Have you heard of The Lolita Killer?" asked a girl with short blonde hair.

"Yes, it's scary and creepy that that type exists." replied a girl with brown hair.

Lily agreed that it was a creepy man and wondered why he would kill the Lolitas because it was almost racism. They were innocent and had done nothing but wear Lolita clothes daily or as a hobby.

“My guild has warned us not to go out at night.” said a girl with liver paste dyed hair.

Lily could hear that it was really serious with the Lolita Killer and was now afraid to go out and complete her quest. She had to take Arba with her from now on because she was afraid that Jun De was not strong enough to protect her.

"I think The Soul Reaper is creepier." said a man with dark hair.

"Since we are women, we have only heard of the Lolita-Killer." said the woman with the fair hair.

"He’s said to steal a soul around midnight." explained the man.

"I've heard that he steals more souls if you insult him." said another man.

Lily was reminded of the man she had met in ninja clothes with the red Oni mask and had an idea that it was him. She had to ask him later when she had time and was curious why he stole souls and if he was really the real soul reaper.

After some time, there was suddenly the sound of war drums and Lily looked towards the stage where the mayor had stood. People rushed to gather in the square and waited anxiously.

When the drums stopped the mayor said loudly, “First place goes to Lord William's Guild Dancing Dragons.”

People started clapping but no one sounded excited, and Lily knew it was because it had been foreshadowing from the start. Suddenly William walked onto the stage and received something small from the mayor which she couldn't see but guessed it was a mount whistle. Subsequently, the other winners were mentioned which she was not interested in hearing. Once everyone had been awarded prizes people started to pack up and Lily went over and helped Rosie pack up her booth. When they had finished packing everything together, Rosie gave a stack of black cards to Lily which she knew was gold because she had matching cards from the black market.

"Thank you very much for the help." Rosie said, smiling at her.

"If you need help another time, ask." Lily said smiling back.

She went behind the kitchen and saw all the girls present sitting around the table talking to Ralph and Elijah. She went and introduced them to each other because she didn't know how much the girls had told them.

If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.

"Are you in the same guild?" she asked, looking at Ralph.

"Yes. I joined the same one as Angelina who chose the one Elijah took.” Ralph replied.

Lily had already figured it out and shook her head. She knew the saying that love makes blind, and Ralph was a perfect example, but she was glad that he was finally free of the horrible woman who treated him like a slave. A slave contract of the system was not the same as being treated as a slave outside.

"I can join your guild if it is." Ralph said as he saw her thinking.

Lily didn't have her own guild and Dancing Dragons was just so she could store gold but that was before she found out that there was gold in via maps. She explained how she was temporarily in a guild and had no plans to make her own since she couldn't meet all the requirements but that she was in the process of gathering strong people.

She found out that they were all in the Guild Twilight that she knew of because of the 17 men she used to complete her quest when she had just woken up. They wanted to join her group, but she didn't want them to leave their guild until she had gathered more people. She knew that bigger guilds always had more advantages because they were big then they had access to everything especially guild mount which was important. They would lose their guild mount if they left their guild and she felt bad about that. She wasn't smug and didn't know if it had anything to do with her zodiac sign.

She looked at Ralph and was reminded that he had a griffin, and that William also had a similar one but that his looked much more majestic compared to Ralph's. It was quite normal for there to be many of the same breed in the animal world, so it didn't surprise her.

If they had been related, they would have been in the same guild, right?

"Where do you live?" asked Ralph.

"In Kahrlin." Lily replied.

Ralph chose to move in with Lily since she lived in a mansion but first, he had to pack his things and Guild Twilight had its main base in Sanszhin so he would get it done inside today.

Lily had 2 days to complete 10,000 kills and had to go back to Labunagaan tonight and since she had a place to stay there it was better that they all travel together. When most people had packed up their tents and gone home the site was almost empty.

Rosie and her girls had gone home and as Lily and her group were leaving William came up to them.

Lily looked at him in surprise because she thought he had left with his guild.

"Congratulations." she said, smiling.

"Thanks. You look cute.” said William, looking at her black thigh-short maid dress.

"Thank you and you look dashing." Lily said.

William looked at the group behind her and his eyes fell on Ralph, and he blinked a few times.

"Ralph, what are you doing here?" he asked in surprise.

“I know Lily. What are you doing here?" replied Ralph, walking up to him.

Lily looked at them both and suddenly something dawned on her. So, they were either friends or in the same family.

William looked at Lily and asked, “How do you know each other? Why didn't you tell me you knew my little brother?”

Argh, Lily wanted to hide in a hole. How on earth was she supposed to know that the two were brothers. If she had known, she would not have gotten together with any of them, as she was not into that kind of family fetish.

She cleared her throat and replied, "Ralph helped me in Amenale when I woke up."

"I’m surprised. I thought you were still chasing that bitch.” William said, looking at Ralph.

"Not anymore. I'm joining Lily's group.” Ralph said, smiling.

Sensing that the atmosphere was awkward, Lily immediately changed the subject and asked, “Why aren't you with your guild?”

William looked at her and replied, "They left long ago to party."

"Aren't you the centerpiece?" Lily asked, confused, as to what else they were celebrating.

"I hate parties because I don't drink." William replied.

Suddenly Fergus, Dean and Katniss came to them, and Lily knew it was time to go home.

William looked at Lily and asked, "Would you like to eat together?"

Lily had plans to go to Labunagaan but now William invited them out to eat and she felt bad turning him down and looked at the others and asked, "What do you say?"

They all nodded, and she replied, "Okay."

She said goodbye to Ralph and Elijah who would contact her.
