A whimper could be heard as the Grade D came out of the shadows with a few scratches. Their group quickly recovers as Saleh and Jessica continue to struggle to finish the groups attacking them.
Moving to the door, the Grade D gestured to another person to open the door. As soon as their hand came into contact with the door, they were gone. There was no noise, no blurry movements, the body and clothes disappeared as if it never had existed.
Letting out a sigh and chuckle, the Grade D moved towards the door. With the danger gone, he didn’t hesitate to open the door by force. Somewhat expecting a scream, they were a bit surprised to see Cassie staring out the door with a smile.
At this time, the group's attention shifted slightly. Using this opportunity, both Jessica and Saleh moved in to strike at the Grade E’s within their surroundings. Saleh was attention grabbing as his hand lit up as he rushed through a Grade F as he pierced their body before dragging it like a shield as he charged at a Grade E.
With prompt timing, the one being charged at was able to react. Dodging to the side, as Saleh followed the cloaked figure dashed behind a Grade F. With poor timing, Saleh’s attack came to an end, using that opportunity to kill another Grade F he retreated from a counterattack of the Grade E.
Jessica was less showy. She had been moving around, creating openings to attach one of her wrist straps. Finding an opening, she rushed through, attempting to clear her way through the gap to reach the carriage.
Almost slipping through, she was kicked to the side. Having taken the kick, she was able to get half a guard up. At the same, because of the momentum, her arm jerked towards the Grade E that had kicked her.
Sliding around a Grade F that tried to take advantage, she slipped a wire around their neck. Pulled the body back, she was able to behead them as the wire cut straight through the hood and neck. The last thing that person saw was a Grade E grabbing their neck as they fell.
“Would you look at that.” The Grade D whistled as he laughed with a hint of lust. As he moved towards Cassie, he watched her pull out a dainty dagger and stab him with it.
“Oh, not bad.” Using mana to reinforce his skin, he was only slightly surprised it broke the skin. Still, he didn’t care, it was only a tiny cut.
A creepy smile slide across Cassie’s face. As the Grade D’s pupils shrank into pins, his body exploded into blood and gore. As if blown away from the dagger, even two Grade F behind him were also blown away. Only leaving behind a pair of black boots, with bloody stumps inside.
During that distraction, Saleh injured a Grade E as he finished off the last Grade F. Jessica wasn’t able to capitalize on this opportunity, as everyone attacking her had their guards up after she killed the Grade E.

Without being able to watch the scene, the two could only look on with horror as another shadow appeared behind Cassie as they struck her neck. Holding her at the waist to ensure she didn’t fall.
An aura of another Grade D could be felt from beneath their black robe. Without sparing them a glance, their group moved away from the carriage. Trying to create as much distance as possible.
Not even five seconds later, Jessica slipped past the last Grade E as she used a faint attack. Rushing towards the carriage, the group stopped before the Grade D didn’t hesitate. Signalling to a few, two more Grade E and a group of Grade F blocked her path.
Jessica could only watch helplessly as the Grade D handed Cassie over to two Grade E. The three moved.
It was likely the Grade D wanted to get away from the carriage and possible distress signals as fast as possible. However, they didn’t dare hold Cassie after seeing her use a bizarre dagger to cause the other Grade D’s body to explode.
Their fear of her could be seen by the fact the dagger was not touched as it lay on the ground outside the door of the Carriage. Watching helplessly, Jessica took a cut to her cheek as she was forced to look away.
As she was pushed back, her heart was already beating quickly. While worried about Cassie, the two of them were not in a good position. These people were not overly strong. They had okay combat prowess, though they worked very well in a group.
The only upside was that their groups didn’t mesh. Clearly, certain people worked in different groups. Only a few maneuvers were multifaceted, allowing people from different groups to work together in a slightly better way.
Dodging a slice aimed at her neck, Jessica felt the hair on the back of her neck stand up as a large amount of mana appeared behind her.
Without being able to do anything, Jessica could only freeze up slightly in horror. Luckily, she wasn’t the only one. A large burst of Grade E mana exploded around them. Turning her head slightly, she saw Saleh standing behind a magic circle.
A number of bright lights shot out like lasers around her. With no time to let out a breath of relieve, she turned to see her surroundings. A majority of the Grade F were killed while the Grade E were injured. Not wasting time, the two killed the rest.
As they ran through the woods, they couldn’t find the people that took Cassie. At one point they even had to stop as tracks lead in two different directions.
Saleh dashed down one as he pointed at the other path. Without time to think about it, Jessica went along with his plan.
As the two ran, Saleh was able to catch up to a group. Moving around, he was able to sneak his way around to get in front of them. Without time to think about it, he burst from the side brush and killed a Grade E that was nearest.
As both sides were given a second to see their opponent, Saleh’s expression darkened.
During this time, Jessica also found people on her path. Unlike Saleh, she made too much noise and didn’t spot them until it was too late. Without thinking, she burst out from behind. She was able to see their shocked appearances, not expecting her to appear so quickly.
The Grade D was looking at the two Grade E behind him. They were holding up Cassie awkwardly. With an arm around their neck hanging down lifelessly on their chest. She was unable to see their faces.
Jessica could feel her heart turn cold, because at that very moment, she could tell. She was able to catch up because they had stopped moving. With the mana flaring from the Grade D it was no surprise the Grade E didn’t dare move. Because at this moment, Jessica could tell Cassie wasn’t breathing.
