Izic was staring at the magic circle intently. For someone like Jessica, who could not understand a single symbol or rune drawn around the magic circle. Izic was someone that could see the flow of the mana, and what the magic circle was doing.
Next to him was Elizabeth, she was someone that could do the same as Izic. Without needing to be taught, she could study the magic circle herself. Within the span of a few hours. The magic circle with only a few things she understood in the beginning. Was now within her grasp to a level that she could tell what was going on inside the magic circle.
For this reason she glanced at Izic, “Are you sure you want to let him complete his training. If I can see he still holds hatred for you, I know you have seen it too.”
Izic only smiled, “So what? What is life without anything interesting. It isn’t like he only has ill will towards me. Plus I am partially responsible for this. So while the main reason I helped him was because I thought it would be interesting. I do owe him at least this much.”
Seeing her look away, a strange look appeared in his eyes, “Are you going to stop me from doing this?”
Turning back to look him in the eyes. With a clear look of annoyance, “The last time I stopped you, the end result was a large portion of the land being destroyed and history was wiped off the face off the continent.”
A tiny bit of self reproach appeared in his eyes. He looked back at the magic circle, “Can’t really say history was destroyed. That guy survived, plus while it was a hassle to remove the corruption, it gave birth to new life to replace the old. You always said non-intelligent life was better than even the elves in terms of stability.”
Ignoring his claims, she returned to the subject at hand, “Are you really just going to release him?”
“Why not? He is now bound to that girl, she will ground him in this world. By the way, how is Everwood doing?”
Glancing at him one more time she couldn’t help but grumble, “Like you don’t know.”
Looking innocent, “What do you mean? I wouldn’t ask if I already knew. You forbid me from going there. Though it is true if I tried, I could with enough time break through your protection layers. But, what is the point. It would take a while, which by that point would devoid the benefits. So why would I bother? I am a person who has grown bored and finds surprises more entertaining.”
Wanting to dismiss his claims, she couldn’t outright do that. Case in point, was right in front of them. Leo was about to complete his comprehension of the new rune. Once the rune was completely comprehended it would mean the space inside that housed his soul would be completely healed.

As for what his future foretold, not even she could determine that. Having a few educated guesses. With that realizing the two had been in this world for too long. She had found a new interest in the boy she had dismissed as simply dangerous before.
When Izic started to help him. The amount of new things she had seen was increasing. Before, the benefits didn’t outweigh the risks. The bet she made to have him released was something she figured Izic would get bored with. Never did she expect him to continue on for so long looking for someone to bind the boy to this world.
Having always found his existence strange and intriguing, she couldn’t stop herself from pondering how or why he existed. Izic seemed to have truly been lucky in his creation. That or he had done something unspeakable. To the point he had hidden it too deeply for her to see.
Soon there was a rumble. Light so bright it made the entire space turn white. Very quickly, as it appeared it disappeared. In the magic circle was a sword. When it had arrived, it was cracked and brittle looking. As if a relic of history that would dissipate with only a little more time.
Now, the sword had returned to its prime. With the length of a little over a foot, the blade was silvery smooth. Without a single dent or scratch, a very faint fuller could be seen in the middle of the blade.
Knowing that the sword’s image changed with its strength. The fuller would soon be complete as no longer was Leo stuck with Grade F mana. Though for the time being, it would take time for him to complete his transformation and reach the level of mixing Grade E mana.
A simple handle could be seen, it was just light black string binding wrapped around a blue base material. At the moment, a transparent hand took hold of the handle as it was pulled from the ground. As the two came into contact, the process was complete.
Looking no older than he had before, at the prime age of possible 10. Glancing at the two in front of him, Leo neither smiled nor frowned. By this point, he had become used to the sight of the two. He wanted to sigh but didn’t waste the breath.
“You will need to progress differently from before. Almost from scratch you will progress in a similar fashion to Jessica or any other graded being. While you might not need to use the mana in a dungeon to facilitate your breakthrough. It doesn’t mean it will be any easier. Before you were not in control of the mana you possessed. That is why when you attempted to break yourself out, you nearly destroyed yourself.”
Leo simply nodded his head. Izic had spoken to him about this. With this new rune, he had tied his abilities in a more normal sense. If before he was an unknown existence, he was now truly a sword spirit. A defined existence.
Literally, he was just a person that had the body of a sword. Outside not being exactly normal, he was closer to a real being now. Even being able to use his mana with the rune to interact with the outside world to even pick his body up.
With a huge surge of his mana being used he quickly fit the sword back into the indent created to hold him inside the magic circle. With the current mana he had, it was not proper to do this for a long period of time. As the mana leakage was too high with no purpose.
