Jade's eyes were bloodshot, her once gentle face now a mask of barely contained fury.
She had been hidden away by Edgar, forced to live in the shadows, while Shelia paraded around the city center, having stolen everything that was rightfully hers-her father, her name, and her very identity. Shelia panicked and cowered. She hadn't expected Jade to be alive, let alone standing right in front of her.
"It wasn't me. I didn't want to take everything from you," Shelia stammered. "You just weren't lucky enough. Even if you were still alive, your dad wouldn't have accepted you. The Blair family would never acknowledge a prostitute like you." Jade clenched her fists. "Yes, I'm a prostitute. But that doesn't give you the right to steal everything from me."
She turned to Debra and pleaded, "I have a grudge with Shelia. Could you let me deal with her?"
Debra nodded. "Everyone has to face their debts. I'll leave her to you."
Shelia's heart sank. She shouted at Debra, "You have no right to deal with me. Who do you think you are? I'm Juan's fiancée. The Blair family will protect me. You can't..."
Debra silenced her with a swift grip on her throat. "You reap what you sow! Juan isn't here, and Edgar has lost his power. Do you think the Blair family and Melody can protect you?"
Debra had waited a long time for this day. In her previous life, she had thought it was Juan who had caused her death, but it turned out Shelia had maliciously redirected all the hospital's type-A blood supply away.
It was time to settle the matter once and for all.
Terrified, Shelia turned desperately to Melody. "Grandma, save me."
Debra smirked, "Shelia is begging for your help. Will you save her?"
Melody's face turned pale. She could barely manage her own affairs, let alone worry about Shelia.
With Juan gone, she couldn't beat Debra and the Potter family.
As Melody remained silent, Debra raised an eyebrow. "Looks like Melody doesn't want to help you."
Shelia's heart sank to the bottom. She had done so much to become part of the Nichols family, and now Melody was just standing by as Debra humiliated her.
Losing interest, Debra commanded, "Take them away. Send Melody to the police and hand Shelia over to the Blair family."
She turned to Jade and said, "Shelia is all yours now."
Jade responded tearfully, "Thank you, Ms. Frazier."This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
Sophie, standing nearby, tried to
speak up, but Debra stopped heret
"Sophie, please take care of the
house. When Juan returns, just tell him the truth."
