CHAPTER 2872 DO NOT GIVE HER A HARD TIME
With a nod, Jared lightly crushed the ice soul fragment. A burst of energy promptly entered his body, and it was unexpectedly far superior to spiritual energy.
In just a few minutes, he refined the energy in its entirety.
“I'm going to attain Second Level of Top Level soon. Could this really be celestial energy?” Belongs to - All rights reserved.
Surprise was etched across his face.
The energy within the ice soul fragment was downright powerful. It was merely a tiny piece, yet it contained such cosmic energy. If I were to find all the ice soul fragments, my capabilities would shoot up several cultivation levels, no? But this ice soul fragment doesn't give out any aura, so I can't detect it with my spiritual sense. If I rely only on my naked eye, it'd be even more difficult than finding a needle in a haystack in this snowy expanse of land!
Just when he had finished absorbing the ice soul fragment, Vasily and the others arrived.
The instant Viola saw him talking and laughing with a girl, she went over in a fit of jealousy.
“Who's this, Jared?” she demanded.
“This is the eldest daughter of the Tall family, Quinley Tall. Earlier—”
Before Jared could explain further, Vasily and the others acted like they were facing a formidable energy upon laying eyes on Quinley.
They all whipped out their weapons and surrounded her.
At that, Quinley's expression changed. She asked in puzzlement, “Who are the lot of you? And what are you all trying to do?”
“You're a member of the Tall family?” Vasily questioned.
“Yes.” Quinley gave a dip of her head in affirmation.
“Since you're a member of the Tall family, you're our enemy.”
Vasker's face was contorted in a mask of fury.
“Who exactly are the lot of you? I don't even know you, so how are we enemies?”
Quinley had bewilderment written all over her face. She was not at all acquainted with Vasily and the others.
Not only did she usually seldom leave home, but she was also forbidden from interfering in many matters regarding the Tall family. Hence, she had no idea about the conflict between her family and the Archaic Body cultivators.
In truth, Vasily and the others did not recognize her either. They only surrounded her after hearing Jared's introduction.
“We're Archaic Body cultivators. The Tall family occupied our territory and robbed us of our resources, so you're our enemy!” Vasily snarled furiously.
A frown marred Quinley's countenance. “Archaic Body cultivators? I've heard of Archaic Body cultivators, but when did the Tall family rob you of your resources and occupy your territory? I think you're simply making false accusations. Don't think I'll be intimidated just because you outnumber me. If things were to get physical, you wouldn't be my match.”
She had just broken through to Sixth Level Body Fusion Realm. Thus, even if Vasily and the others were to join hands, they were indeed not her match.
“Cut it out, Vasily. The grievances between the Archaic Body cultivators and the Tall family don't necessarily involve all members of the family. It's clear that Ms. Tall wasn't aware of her family's misdeeds. Don't give her a hard time anymore,” Jared interjected.
Vasily glanced at him. Knowing that the Archaic Body cultivators were not Quinley's match without the man's help, he inclined his head a fraction and got out of the way.
“You may leave, Ms. Tall. We need to continue our journey as well,” Jared said to Quinley.
With one last look at him, Quinley spun on her heel and left.
Meanwhile, Jared and the others continued on their journey.
“Vasily, since Archaic Body cultivators have been in the far north for the longest, do you know of the ice soul fragments?” Jared asked Vasily.
“Of course I do. The ice soul fragments are a rare treasure in the far north, but they are few and far between. In all the years I've been living here, I've never seen a single piece. Why are you asking about it, Mr. Chance?”
Vasily was curious about how the man learned of ice soul fragments.
