CHAPTER 3045 OUTSMART
Upon receiving Talcott's urgent message, the remaining members of the Five Slayers grew anxious.
The situation had escalated, and the core secrets of the Demon Seal Alliance had been exposed.
Going back now was a sure path to disaster.
“Our top priority should be eliminating everyone who knows the truth! Otherwise, once this news spreads, we'll have a hard time surviving this.” Woodley furrowed his brow, his face filled with worry.
“Yeah, Woodley's right. If we go back like this, we're in for a tough ride. Let's split up and take out everyone who's privy to this information!” Phaethon's eyes gleamed with fierce determination.
The four of them discussed the plan and then began to split into different directions to intercept the wandering cultivators, members of the Nesser family, and even Jared's group.
As long as those people didn't leave the far north, the news wouldn't spread far at least for now.
Meanwhile, on the outskirts of the far north, within a dense forest, a figure was swiftly maneuvering through the terrain.
This was the final stretch before entering the far north. Beyond this point lay the far north, which was an expanse of snowy wasteland where lush greenery was a rare sight.
In this forest, the sounds of demon beasts could be heard constantly. However, as they came near the figure, they all willingly made way.
The figure was riding on a pure white tiger, whose eyes emitted a crimson glow.
This person was none other than Yuven, who had been healed by the countess of Jipsdale after Jared's departure. She had removed the poison from his body. Now, Yuven was heading to the far
north in search of Jared, fearing that he might be in danger.
Suddenly, two figures leaped out and blocked Yuven's path. Their eyes were fixed on the white tiger beneath him.
This white tiger was a temporary mount that Yuven had tamed. As the king, taming a few demon beasts was a piece of cake for him.
However, in the eyes of these two, obtaining a mount like this was nearly impossible.
When they saw Yuven riding this white tiger, they wanted to stop him and claim it for themselves.
Seeing two individuals blocking his way, Yuven stopped.
“Excuse me, I wonder where you're going,” one of the men asked Yuven.
“I'm heading to the far north in search of someone,” Yuven replied.
“What a coincidence! We know this area like the back of our hands, especially the far north. We grew up here. Since you're looking for someone, we can help you. Just a small fee will do.” The man spoke loudly and confidently.
“As long as you help me find the person, I can pay you as many spirit coins as you want. Don't hold back.”
As the king, Yuven cared little for a few spirit coins.
“We don't want much. How about a hundred thousand spirit coins?” the man said.
“I'll give you a million. Lead the way...”
Yuven wasn't very familiar with the far north, so having a guide would speed things up.
The two men exchanged a glance, both wearing slight smiles.
“All right, just stick close behind us,” the man said, then turned and headed deeper into the forest.
“Ian, this guy looks incredibly wealthy, especially with that white tiger. He must be formidable,” one of the men with a head wrap remarked. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
“I saw that too. That's why I made that offer. You can only outsmart such people, not confront them,” the other man said, a smug smile on his face.
“How do we outsmart him?”
“You fool, we'll just lead him into our territory. When the time comes, we'll release the demon beasts we've raised. They'll devour him in an instant. His wealth and the white tiger will all be ours.”
“Ian, you're a genius...”
