'I'm married!' Kira eyed the dashboard for anything she could use as a weapon, but she came up empty.

The car was a rental and the inside had been scrubbed clean.

'I was willing to wait for you to leave Austyn. I was willing to forgive you for marrying another man, but I will NOT tolerate you having his baby. Not his, not anybody else's. 'You are insane!'

Gideon's icy voice and the maniacal gleam in his eyes petrified Kira.

She had no idea he was so obsessed with her.

The light changed.

The BMW rolled forward.

'Your marriage to Austyn is a sham. He's using you. If you have his baby, you'll come to regret it one day. I'm just saving you from all the pain and grief in the future.

'You're lying! I'm a fool for ever trusting you!' Kira had not given up on beating at the window.

Maybe it would attract the attention of the traffic police and she would be saved.
