Part 1 – Return of the Monster
Returning back to Jacksville Castle since we completed the....well destruction of the enemy stronghold though the nobles in this place were most likely expecting for there to be a fort there as well. I looked away when Alexandra and Viv made the report.
The nobles reaction went from shock then admiration and then literal and utter shock again as they continued their report. They looked at me hesitantly as if I was another person, like I would swallow them whole if they looked me in the eye. To this, I simply sighed since I was kinda used to this reaction from before when I had to kill this and that while destroying everything in the way.
While Alexandra was frightening the nobles with her reports making sure to not leave any details on my power and rampage, I checked the most recent messages I got. Let's see....lots and lots of things about the damage I caused and some titles. Most of them were deleted due to my active 'Destroyer of Sovereign' title though. However some of them still stayed and were absorbed into the main title.
Cold-hearted Killer
Did not give mercy to anything at all to the subconsciousness level.
- Enemies will be more likely to fear you
- Some confusion will occur in the enemies you face at times
Fort Blaster
Completely destroyed a fort to the last stone.
- Damage to buildings will increase by 15%
- Double damage to defenders of forts
End of Knowledge
Destroyed a Sage's research completely without regard to the consequences.
- Fighting Spirit increase by 20
- Domination increase by 15
- Strength increase by 20
- Wisdom decrease by 15
- Intelligence decrease by 10
Hmm....only these three remained since they were overall negative in my image. There were some other titles such as the 'Mercy Bringer' which was caused by my mercy killings or 'Bringer of Justice' due to me putting an end to those acts of pure evil but they got deleted....
Damn those titles had some good points as well. It would be nice for people to not run away from me from now on....I better get some more fame then. Speaking of fame, even though some of my titles were deleted, I still got the fame off them. At this point my status window looked something like this.

Funny how fighting boss monster after boss monster with Alexandra and Viv resulted in all of us increasing our levels higher and higher even after we didn't really focused on gaining levels. I believe I gained 30 levels since 5 months ago which is actually really fast though it did help we were gaining lots of experience from the boss monsters in question.
Another thing to notice was that my fame from finally increasing! Taking down so many boss monsters in those 5 months paid off with me gaining fame bit by bit though it still doesn't compare how much Alexandra has. Also my infamy was decreasing bit by bit as well.
After Alexandra finished her conversation with the nobles on various matters that need to be taken care of immediately such as securing the area in which the fort that was no longer there, sending patrols to get rid of monsters whom were still increasing in numbers and feeding the large army we have now; we got to the part where the three of us were in private discussing a number of things before heading out to grind some more for the materials we need and want.
“Okay, we have 3 months to do whatever and there's around a quarter of the materials that we didn't collect yet and they are kinda spread out a bit” said Alexandra while spreading out a large map of the western continent.
On the map were some markings made by us. The black crosses were the places we visited and therefore collected the materials we need from those places. All of the mines were pretty much exhausted first and if we need more than we can just easily buy it using my wealth. The red circles on the other hand were places in which we needed to visit later.
Most of these places were however in places that normal people would not want to go since high level monsters, traps or terrible environments were included when going to those places. Frankly it would take a large group to get to any of those places though we go through them quite eaily with the three of us alone.
There were 2 dozens or so places we needed to visit. The majority of them were in isolated areas in the mountain ranges while there were some spread out to the coasts to the west. However none of them were near the centre of the western continent which would've made things troublesome without my spacial teleportation skill.
“I say leave the mountain area ones for last since we can rush through them in the end, we'll have more trouble in the end if we have to rush through getting the coastal locations” I said and the other nodded.
Therefore our next locations in order were to be the various places that are near the western side of the western continent where you are likely to be killed and eaten by sea creatures; some of which can walk on land as well so that will be fun.
But before that....
“I want to check on the progress on the creation of out items” with those words I left with the two to visit the blacksmiths that were hired as well as the tailors, enchanters and so on that were working on out new equipment.
“Ho! You three are back and I see that you were victorious again!” said one of the dwarf blacksmiths. This one in particular was a special one since not only did he master blacksmithing, he also masted enchanting as well therefore further increasing the abilities of the items he made and therefore also the price to boot. He usually charges 2-3 times more than other blacksmiths as a result of this to cover his costs.
Right now I believe he was still working on my armour which was going to be one of the more difficult ones to make since the specs I wanted was quite high. Along with the robes that was being made by a tailor that had read the secrets of making the battle-mage's robes, he was the only one working on my equipment at the time. The rest were working for Alexandra and Viv though it was my money they were taking....
In total there were usually around half a dozen people with master level crafting skills working at this place in the castle. Alexandra wanted a custom sword made for her that went with the duo mode feature that we used a while back along with a battle dress from the Holy Demonic Beast hide that we killed and something else if we didn't collect it by the end.
On the other hand Viv wanted a new staff made from the branches that were collected from the ancient Ent from a while back as well as combat robes and a new witch hat. Namely he was in the same situation as Alexandra with not all of the materials present in order to complete those items as well as seeing if they could find equipment that fitted their needs without resorting to crafting them instead.
A common feature between me and Viv was that we were waiting to see if we were able to get some good boots somewhere since Alexandra snatched the last boss level unique one. Seeing that those equipment were at best half completed due to the long time needed to create them perfectly as well as the lack of materials that can match the requirements we wanted, we left in order to collect most of the materials in one go again.
Part 2 – The Ocean's Pearl
Teleporting to the coastal area where it was essentially a beach town, there was a large amount of people gathering for something. Naturally curious we walked near the crowd to hear what was going on.
“The guild will commission a large number players to go to the dungeon and clear it out! Touching the boss monster is forbidden! The water-breathing items will be given if you accept!” someone shouted in a loud voice gathering more and more people to sign up.
“What's going on?” I asked someone nearby.
The person looked at me excited and said, “The Ico Guild found a strong dungeon underwater and are gathering people to help them clear it out. I heard the treasure is the ocean's pearl that is as large as someone's head!”
The person left to sign up with possibly another hundred players. The ocean's pearl? Is this is the item we need to collect as well? Hmm....better not let this chance go.
As such the three of us also signed up as well. Soon we were given this thing that we put in our mouths to breath underwater. But before everyone went in the water to get to the dungeon, it seems like the Ico Guild's leader came out to address everyone.
“Due to the difficulties of the dungeon with monsters going from level 300 at least to higher than level 400, we need everyone to get in parties of at least 5!”
With that, numerous people immediately started to ask us to join them. In the mist of this, I Pmed the other two about certain matters.
- Hey, you think we might want to lie about our classes?
- Sounds like a good idea, rather not get the attention right now and make it harder to sneak away later
- I suppose, Al should be a paladin, Eden a mage and me a Shaman. That will make things simpler if people think we're those classes and that means holding back as well
- No problems, leave things to other people first then
However while doing this, most of the people who bothered us left and form groups on their own quickly. As such we were left alone in the sole group of three which actually made us gain more attention. The Ico Guild's leader walked to us and then said.
“It seems we have an uneven number. Due to the dangers, please join my party. My name is Mobey.”
Mobey requested for you to join his party, accept?
Well at least we have a good meat shield as it seems. As such the three of us accepted the invitation to the party.
“I accept”
“Sure.”
“Thank you.”
You have join Mobey's party
With that message, we were now in his party with one other person. Mobey was a man with dark blue hair and had heavy armour like Alexandra but used a one handed sword and a shield. The other person looked like a thief or another agility based class since he had light armour and I couldn't see a weapon in sight.
“Damn that bastard!”
“Getting all the hot ones....”
“I want to hug that small one!”
Comments and killing intent whispered in the background towards Mobey. However he ignored them and introduced himself and companion to us.
“As you know I am Mobey, a knight and this is Kenny, an adventurer.” The one called Kenny who had red hair nodded to this and smiled to us, “Nice to meet you all.”
Next we introduced ourselves to them.
“I'm Eden, a mage.”
“Alexandra, a paladin.”
“Viv, shaman class.”
The two nodded and then asked, “Eden why do you have a sword?” with a curious eye.
I need to make an excuse quickly.
“Ah, sometimes monsters get near and I need to defend myself since its always been the three of us and I tend to draw more aggro between the three of us.”
Mobey smiled accepting the explanation and said, “As a knight, it will be certain that I will protect you” in a charming voice that wanted me to vomit everything I ate from this morning. However dur to this action, more hate came to Mobey.
“That damn asshole, I want to flirt with them!”
“Why the hell does he get all the girls?!”
“He probably changed his appearance in game and is extremely ugly in reality.”
Judging by how smooth this person was with his words and the easily agitated males that were staring at him with hatred and the same with the females towards us....I say this person did this a lot. I sighed once again since this is going to be troublesome.
“What's wrong? If you are ill I can nurse you back to health”
I really wanted to punch this guy in the face. He's not even hiding the fact that he wanted to court me....or is actually a bastard that all men want to kill with his natural actions. I need to site this away or just use Alexandra as bait instead to let him be killed. She has less defects when it comes to killing other players after all.
“Nothing, let's just go to the damn dungeon” I muttered before going in the ocean water to swim to the dungeon.
Part 3 – The depths of the sea
Using the underwater breathing tool that we got, it took the entire group around a hour to get to the dungeon. As expected from an underwater dungeon, it was not that cruel and actually had air and no water inside the actual dungeon. The water breathing tool was just a thing to get to the dungeon.
“Because there is a high chance that someone would die and respawn back at town, we decided to collect them back later” explained Mobey.
With the 100 or so players, there were roughly 20 groups in this dungeon raid with high difficulties. There were split into mainly four different types of players. The scouting players had agility based abilities and could disable traps and find the locations of monsters from the start. The tanking players had high health and defence to combat powerful monsters. The damage dealing players were mainly mages and other long range players. And finally the support players were either priests or other support based classes.
There were 2 scouting focused parties, 4 tanking focused parties, 3 damage dealing focused parties and 4 support focused parties. The remaining 7 parties were mixed parties that acted in accordance to what was happening and supported the rest of the parties. However it wasn't like all parties had solely one type of player in them.
While scouting parties only had certain types of players in them either splitting from either sneaky ones or traps dismantling ones, the tanking parties at least had some priests in them; around 1-2 in each ones while the damage dealing parties were the same with some tanks in them. Frankly there were only a few parties that wanted to specialise in what role they had while all other parties were mainly just made of people they knew and partied with before.
But before everyone got to running about hunting stuff, Mobey addressed another thing.
“This dungeon is 5 floors deep. The monsters in the first floor is a lot weaker than the other floors while the monsters in the fifth floor are a lot harder than the rest of the dungeon. Only those who are over level 300 should go to the fifth floor. We mapped out everything from the first to fourth floor already. Those who have not reached level 300 can should help put by eliminating the other monsters to prevent as many people from dying before the fifth floor!”
With those words the entire 100 player group went towards the fifth floor with more and more people stopping after a certain point due to the increase in strength of monsters per floor. By the time of the third floor there were only around half the number of players that were continuing to the fifth floor since most of the players were around level 200 and the monsters at the third floor was at level 250 on average.
Right now we were in the middle of the third floor halfway in route to the fourth floor.
“Shield Bash!” shouted Mobey as he charged start into the face of the monster that he was facing called a Ascot Crab.
“Golden Cut” Mobey's sword was covered gold as he sliced through the thin parts of the mob's shell armour
There were two types of foes on this floors with the other one being called a Sahuagin which was similar to a goblin but had a fish head and used mainly spears. Due to their appearance I often refer to them as Crabs and Fishheads.
Anyway back to the battle. While Mobey was tanking the Crab, Alexandra went to the right side of it and started smashing the defence of the crab which its its hard shell.
“Impact Strike!” Alexandra used a low levelled sword skill in order to mask her high attack power.
“Wind Slice!”
I also sent a few bursts of wind here and there to support the 'two' at times when I believe Alexandra can't hold back anymore.
“Dark Bolts!”
Viv also helped out a bit with her dark magic spells that were useful in making the enemies weaker.
“Let the eyes of the fallen weaken! Blind!” Viv shouted.
“Thank you! Double Slash!” shouted Mobey while used that opportunity to kill the crab in one go.
Then the crab's movements went weirder as it tried to attack in all kids of direction since it could not see anymore. The only person not doing any fighting was Kenny whose job was to either to get rid of the traps in the way or lure monsters to us.
Namely the fight was very slow for my tastes and it often takes tens of minutes to get rid of even a foe like that crab which was around level 250 as well. Also I believe that Mobey's skill level was quite low as well only in the the lower tier of intermediate.
“Let strength gather in the arms and legs to conquest! Holy Blessing!”
Light covered the entire party as Alexandra shouted though words.
Receive the effects of Holy Blessing
- Strength increased by 15%
- Agility increased by 10%
- Defence increased by 12%
Lasts: 2 hours
“Ohhhh! Thank you very much!” shouted Mobey as he used his increased strength to easily smash through the shells of the crabs before killing them. It took another few minutes for Kenny to lure in some more monsters for us to face so I took the chance to quickly talk to Alexandra.
“When the hell did you learn that skill and more importantly why haven't you ever used it with us?!” I demanded in a whisper.
Alexandra whispered back, “Well our usual state don't need it while our main buffs that much more powerful than this weak spell!”
With those words I could hear the voice of the fishheads coming closer.
“Kill that humans!”
“Gut them in pieces!”
There was a small group of 4 fishheads with their spears. They were weaker than the crabs in levels to be around level 230 I think but their speed and attack was much higher usually. Mobey took point again and drew the aggro of the fishheads immediately.
“Anchor Taunt!” With that shout he smashed his shield into the fishheads before retreating gaining most of the aggro.
From what I know, Mobey was around the low 300s in terms of levels though he may actually be over level 400 but that never showed that kind of ability in combat. He mainly defended while others took the chance to attack and he lacked powerful offensive skills to clear things easily. As such the main attack is left with the three of us.
“Wind blade!” I drew wind in a line and threw it at one of the fishhead at a reduced power rate. However even with that, it caused critical damage to them and reduced its health by more than 70%.
Alexandra took the chance to cut through that fishhead before shouting, “Lightning Sword!”
Lightning covered her blade which was rare for a 'paladin' and easily cut through multiple of those fishheads but left them with little health left for Mobey and Viv to finish off quickly. After this, we took a day and got to the fourth floor and then a few days later to the fifth floor where things were way different.
Part 4 – True Colours
“Ahhh! Someone heal me!”
“Right, Healing Hand!”
“Take the right flank else they will get to the priests!”
Upon getting to the fifth floor, there were only a few parties that went here since most of them wanted a place to grind experience and this was a good opportunity to do so. As such most of the players who signed up were actually trying to leech off this dungeon with a certain amount of success.
However everything changed at the fifth floor. Not only there were stronger footmen fishhead with armour equipped, there were also numerous other powerful monsters in this place that included the deadly King Crabs that were twice the size of the previous crab monsters seen with much higher health, defence and most importantly speed as well as though rare, water spirits.
There was a total of 20 people including us here. Of all of them, the majority were damage dealer being mages or warriors with powerful attack but low defence. Including Alexandra and Mobey there were 5 tanks and including Viv there were 5 support. I was naturally in the damage dealing category which did not exactly make me happy. All three of us could serve any of those three roles if we wanted with the exception of Viv of course.
“Let the brave one regain strength for victory! Blessed Recovery!” shouted one of the 4 priests that were here. Another priest started buffing the defence of the tanks while increasing the damage of the warriors in turn.
I started to chant some fake words for a spell I prepared.
“The air stiffens as the wind of death runs near. Deadly Wind Spear!” With that I gathered wind in my hands in the form of a long spear and through it at one of the fishheads ripping its head off.
The battle was so 'intense' that no one payed attention to my quick kills. Alexandra and Viv were also slowing skills that they should not have for their class in the following battles as well.
Right now we were only at the first battle against some level 400 fishheads in numbers of around 10.
“We'll gut you!”
“Die humans!”
The fishhead with their powerful speed and damage did a pincer attack on us when we just reached the floor. As such a player died before the battle really started.
“Let strength strike twice! Double Strike!”
“Ice Blade!”
“Ice Chill!”
Moving in two strong groups, the fishheads forced us to defend on two sides which drained the health of the tanks slowly while they tried to get around them.
Just saying now but the average level of this group was quite high with many of them being in a high 300s or low 400s. The only exception from what I saw was those from the Ico Guild who were clearly weaker than the other players. The only good thing was that there were only 2-3 members of that guild in this group.
It took a hour to finish off this battle.
Upon resting, Mobey did a quick check of the supplies that the 4 parties had. Our party made up of Mobey, Kenny and the three of us had enough supplies for another week or so. Another party which had 2 mages, a priest and 2 warriors had enough supplies for another few days. Another party had 2 priests, a thief, a ,mage and a knight had supplies for another week. And the last party made up 1 priest, a assassin, 2 knights and a mage had supplies for another week as well.
As such the parties were generally mixed up though in a large area, or facing a single large enemy, the tanks gathered to block the attacks at multiple directions.
“Okay then, another few battles and we should be at the boss battle” said Mobey with confidence. It was not everyday that a large group of players actually hunted and cleared a dungeon with foes over level 400.
In the following battles to the boss chamber, there was an abnormal sum of enemies at once. At times multiple King Crabs attacked at once pinching a lone player and quickly killing them while at other times hordes of those fishheads ambushed us once once getting some players to critical health or death. To make things worse, water spirits would come out for a bit leaving most of the players damaged to some extent or breaking their gear before disappearing again.
Because of these increasing 'difficult' battles, the number of players left dropped down to half with Kenny in our party dying sometime when he fell into a pit trap when pushed by one of those fishheads.
But we were at the boss door now.
“Okay, reorganise into one large party for the fight” ordered Mobey a bit tired and weary of multiple things now.
There were 10 players including us. Of those 7 there were 2 warriors, 1 knight, 2 priests and two mages. The only tanks left were Mobey and Alexandra while there were two other mages beside me so it was pretty balanced.
“Open the doors” said Mobey pushing it open with great difficulties. The 2 warriors and Alexandra helped as well. When Alexandra started pushing with them, it easily opened to reveal the boss monster.
While standing at 3 metres tall, it had 6 arms and was extremely thin. It was covered in dark blue armour and had 4 eyes. In each of its 6 hands it had a long spear on them. I....really have no name for this thing but it was quite powerful from the feeling it gave.
Almost immediately the creature moved and killed both the warriors in one go with Alexandra and Mobey blocking in time.
“Ahh!”
“Help me!”
Those were the last words of those two. Alexandra nodded to me which meant it was time not to fool around and get serious now.
“Holy Aura! Sword Wave!” Covering herself in white aura Alexandra slashed at the creature which was pining Mobey on the floor right now. The attack crossed the creature and cut off one of its arms immediately before exploding.
BANG!
Hmm? Is it me or did it look like the creature dodged the attack a bit. Anyway, when the creature got up again, it was completely fine but with one less arm to use.
The mages next to me immediately started to chant their spells and threw a number of high levelled lightning and fire attacks.
“Let lightning strike true and far, Lightning Strike!”
“Burning the the flesh of evil foes, Burning Inferno!”
Suuush
In an instance two spear impaled the mages and killed in off the bat, another 2 spear flew to the priests which killed them as well.
Now there was the three of us plus Mobey and the enemy didn't have any more spears to use....eh? Why does it have more spears?
Don't tell me its not only the high speed, high damage type but also the extreme regeneration type as well....damn this is going to be more troublesome than I expected. Well at least we have a tank to use in this situation.
“Haa....hahahaha run away!” completely losing his calm and anything left of his knightly attitude, Mobey ran away with his tail behind his legs.
“Wait, where the hell are you going?!” I shouted not really trying to go after him.
“....”
Well there goes his help. Well it was quite weak anyway and only barely passed as a leader who ordered other people and nothing more. But now that he's gone...
“Dragonic Release, Dragonic Overload, Battle Aura!”
Dragonic Release is now active
Dragonic Overload is now active
Battle Aura is now active
Strengthening up, I drew my sword and prepared myself to be attacked by spears. However Alexandra was one step ahead of me.
“Flash Combo!”
Alexandra slashed multiple times at the creature but using its thin body, it dodged and dodged those attacks with some ease.
If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement.
“Light that drops to darkness and burns. Starfall Series Spell #2 Raindrop Darkness!”
The ceiling of this boss room turned dark until it was completely black. Then black rain started to pour down on the creature which darkened its body as well. Suddenly its movements were sluggish and it seemed to miss more than hit when attacking. It looks like this spell causes slow as well as blindness at the same time though I partly believe that it could do more than that and Viv is just holding back.
“Fire Strike!” I shouted sending a dozen or so large fireballs at high speeds at the creature. While it was dodging, Alexandra was attacking through the gaps of its defence and were getting some hits in.
Viv on the meanwhile was using supporting fire with me to make sure the creature stayed in range of Alexandra's attacks.
“Divine Beast Shift! Sword Wave!”
BANG!
With this, Alexandra's movements increased to such an extent that the creature could not even counter attack before dying being cut in half and so on until its body could not move anymore.
Killed the 6 armed, cursed guard of the ocean pearl!
- You gained 120 Fame
- All stats increase by 2
This boss monster gave a so-so amount of fame and stat increase. It was on the low side though since it was kinda weak with Alexandra being able to defeat it on her own with some support. And as such the looting of the place began. Various gems and other items were collected but it seems there was none of that essential material we wanted here....hmm?
I used my mana sensing abilities to pick up faint sense of mana coming from some of the rocks. They were unusually black for some reason. I gave them to Viv and it was in fact a rare metal that absorbed light even in the dark so it remained black no matter where though there was some sort of weird mechanism in this room that made the ceiling look like the night sky.
I on the other hand found something great as well. It was a tiara which you wear on your forehead and it was completely red in colour. Viv identified it and it had these features.
Crimson Tiara of Night Durability: 80/80 Defence:15
A Phantasmal-Class item that was once pure white but was drenched in blood so much that it turned red in colour. It is said that if you look closely enough in the gem, you can see the reflection of the countless battlefields it had been in. Increases combat skills and blood-lust in battle.

The moment I looked at it, I thought 'rare item get!' immediately. I was so satisfied about the attainment of this item that I even thought I would spare the lives of those who disturb me within today since I was in such a great mood.
Reaching the end of the dungeon there was a sign and some sort of device with the giant pearl on it. The sign read 'Use to teleport out of dungeon. If you remove the pearl then this device will not work and all of the monsters in the dungeon will respawn and will hunt you down'.
So...this was a warning or a threat to get out quickly? In the end despite Alexandra wanting the pearl, we decided to use the device to get out.
Use Teleportation Device?
- All players in the dungeon will be teleported out when used
“Yes.”
With that a bright blue light surrounded us and we were on the beach again.
“What the....we're out of the dungeon!”
“Shit! I was fighting a monster!”
People started complaining and then Mobey who ran away at the last second decided this was the best time to improve his reputation.
“You were the one who caused this didn't you?”
His words drew eyes towards us. Already Alexandra held the hilt of her sword and Viv with his staff.
“I can see from the bags that you looted the dungeon quite well. Those are the property of the Ico Guild from now on. That is the only way you can compensate for ruining the experience for everyone else.”
His reason was quickly accepted by the other players, especially the female ones and the males soon accepted it since they didn't want to go against the mass of female players.
“Give up the loot!”
“That belongs to the guild!”
“You're all shameless!”
“....”
Geez, did this person hire these people or are they just that stupid?
“Eden...can I kill them all?” asked Alexandra increasing her fighting spirit to the max. Soon after when some people decided it was wiser to back away now that suddenly there were walls quite high surrounding everyone. Naturally this was Viv's doing and he wanted no one to escape.
I sighed and was about to give in and let them kill them all but then there was a strange voice in the air. Everyone immediately heard it at the same time.
THERE IS AN OPPAI-LOVING DRAGON LIVING IN THE EDGE OF A CERTAIN COUNTRY.

Everyone was dumbfounded. We didn't know how to respond. And then the mana detector went haywire to a certain direction where the sound was coming from.
This was.....mana fragment!
“Take care of this while I'm gone! Flight Magic!” I shouted creating 6 golden wings and flying up in the air to catch up to the creature.
I hope I won't be trashed by it that easily. This was an opportunity to collect the last missing mana fragment. It was something that I could not miss out on!
Part 5 – The Golden Dragon
Flying at my top speed in the air, I wasn't even able to catch up to that damn Dragon! How bloody fast can that thing get?! I'm going at over 100 km/h here!
“Tch, there's no choice.”
There was only in one state that I could actually go faster.
“Full Dragon Transformation!”
Full Dragon Transformation is now active, all stats +80%
“ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAR!!!” I tried getting it's attention but it simply ignored me as it got further and further away.
If that was the case then I need to increase my speed. In my 70 metre dragon form, I used my large wings to gather wind to push me forward as I flapped my wings with great strength. Fortunately back at the dungeon, I barely used my buffs so I still should have a couple more hours left.
“Dragon Release! Dragon Overload!”
Dragon Release is now active
Dragon Overload is now active
My speed was further increased by 80% as I gradually caught up to that damn humming Dragon that was still singing that stupid song!
400 metres
300 metres
200 metres
100 metres
50 metres
10 metres
Now! Dragon Breath!
BOOOOM!
The explosion was so large that I was caught up in it as well since I didn't bother holding back at that critical moment.
You took 14 214 damage
As expected from my ridiculous magic resistance right now, the damage was so low that I didn't need to even care about it since it would regenerate in no time.
Due to the blast both of us, possibly hundreds of metres in the air started falling to the ground quickly. From the brief amount of time in the air falling, I examined my enemy. It was certainly a Golden Dragon but it was only at most 10-15 metres large which was several times smaller than me. However why do I feel that it is several times stronger than me?
At this rate, I'm going to die from the fall damage alone. Even though my base mana was 150 000 and was rapidly increasing recently and the fact that with Dragonic Overload it doubled to 300 000, with my weight and this height I would probably need at least 1 million mana to survive this. Because of this I deactivated the full dragon form and shifted to humanoid dragon form
Changed to Humanoid Dragon Form, all stats +66%
“Flight Magic!”
The wings of light appeared again as I forcefully used a large amount of mana to stop myself from being pancaked to the ground.
Puff
A small cloud of dust appeared as I landed. I looked over and found that the Golden Dragon stabilised itself in mid air and managed to land without damage as well. Upon seeing me it said the following.
“Who are you to attack the Gold Dragon King Fafnir?!”
And with that an immense amount of fighting spirit came rushing to me. Fortunately my fighting spirit plus domination stats both help reduced the effects to zero. However it did not stop me from breaking into cold sweat. It seems talking to this thing was impossible.
“You have something I want.”
Fafnir puffed its nostrils and said proudly, “I am the keeper of valuable items. If you have given me something in equal value to it then I might have allowed you to take it but you attacked me?! Die insect!”
Golden Aura poured out of Fafnir to such a point that I was pushed back physically and mentally as well. How the hell am I suppose to fight such a thing. I have really no choice but to go all out.
[I to awaken am the Tyrant whom stole the throne of God]
[I devour the wisdom and rip apart the Knowledge]
[I will become the Magic King that rules over all Creation]
[And I will show you true Despair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]
[Magic King Drive!!!!!!!!]
Magic King Drive has been Activated
- Spell Damage Increase by 180%
- Spell Range Increase by 180%
- Freely able to use the Elements at Will
- Strength Increase by 180%
- Agility Increase by 180%
- Movement Speed Increase by 180%
- Defence Increase by 180%
- Able to use 'Golden Weapon Trio' Freely in this state
- Resistance to Magic Increase by 49% (Max is 99%)
Time Limit: Until you die or Stamina is exhausted
Although Golden Aura came out of me as well, it was still less than the amount Fafnir created in both quantity and quality. I was still being pushed away by the sheer amount of power it had but now not to the point that I can't do anything.
Ice Formation ? Spike Form ? Expand Factor ? Consume Factor ? Ice Glacier
“Ice Glacier!”
Mana was consumed and the spot Fafnir was standing on exploded into ice everywhere. However at the centre of it was Fafnir completely unaffected by the magic at all. It was like he was taking a nice breeze as I used my spell on him.
Damn one of the main characteristics of Dragons was their high stats everywhere but also their extremely high magic resistance!
Magic was useless right now which means this will be three times more difficult than I thought it would be. However I still have skills that are unrelated to Magic.
“Golden Sword!”
I summoned the golden sword above Fafnir and smashed it down at him using the telekinesis feature of the skill.
Br-break!
However what broke into pieces was the sword itself. It was also about this time that Fafnir started his attack as well. Fafnir leaped at me with his giant mouth intending to bite me to death.
“Dance of Water!”
Dance of Water is now active
Dodging the attack barely with it just touching a bit of my boot, the ground were I stood was completely gone. Fafnir spat out the stone in his mouth as he continued to attack me. Taking out my Divine Sword I strike Fafnir in the head by my attack was deflected away again.
Fafnir was fast and strong in all ways from what I see, but why didn't he kill me right now? Is he toying with me?!
Pissed off, I gathered both mana and aura in my hand and punched Fafnir in the face.
“Don't you dare underestimate me!”
BANG!
A dent was left on Fafnir's scales. He smiled for a bit viciously as if I finally became entertaining to him. Then a massive burst of aura blasted me back.
BANG!
You took 46 613 damage
That damn Dragon wasn't even serious yet and yet I took this much damage! While I still think magic isn't effective against him, it is my best bet combined with aura attacks. It's not like his defence will last forever.
Covering myself in thick aura to prevent me from being blown back again I shouted, “Garden of Eden!”
Garden of Eden is now active, will consume 150 mana/second
25000 mana was consumed instantly as I activated this skill. Thankfully Dragonic Overload balances this skills' consumption well enough with its increased mana regeneration of 150 mana/second as well. However that means attacks will soon drag me down on mana. But I still have mana channelling which increases mana regeneration a bit.
Now intending to do a close range battle with Fafnir, I used mainly fire and lightning spells against him while at the same time gathering aura to attack using my sword or fist.
“Fire Strike! Lightning Strike!”
Lightning and Fire flew to Fafnir giving me some cover with my aura covered sword.
“Enchant Body! Enchant Sword!”
Enchant Body has been activated
- 50% increase in Strength and Agility
- Mana will decrease by 500 mana per minute
Enchant Sword has been activated
- Sword will deal Double Damage
- Stamina will decrease more rapidly
It's been a long time since I had to resort to this. The main reason I didn't like these two skills was that it drained a lot out of me when I used them even for a bit. However now I caused double damage and I was close to Fafnir enough.
“Heaven and Earth Separation!”
A massive amount of aura and stamina was consumed for the attack. The space that Fafnir was in twisted and split into two causing a large gaping wound appeared on the front right continuing to the end of his body.
“Arh!” screamed Fafnir in pain. It seems he didn't expect me to use such a powerful attack then.
HEADBUTT!
BANG!
You took 10 421 damage
It was quite low in damage due to my position as well as my much higher defence and the fact the attack wasn't that strong to begin with, but Fafnif used his opportunity of me being hit to gather energy for one large attack.
Shit! This is bad!
“Mana Shields! Crystal Palace of Reflection!”
Mana shields has been created
Crystal Palace of Reflection is now active
Garden of Eden is now inactive
Mana Shields formed around me as well as the mirrors from the Crystal Palace skill in order to form the strongest defence I could get.
“Take this!”
From the mouth of Fafnir came a burst of energy in the form of a large ball. Not only was it big and powerful but also fast and hot. As it moved in an instance to hit me, the rocks and stones near it melted immediately as it crossed its path.
All 24 mirrors moved to block the attack. All of them broke in a matter of seconds. That was essentially 96+ different attacks in that one energy ball. However it did not end there. Next was my mana shields.
“Haaaaaaaaaaaaa!”
I gathered what mana I had left since I had a lot of it and poured it into my mana shields to increase its health and defence.
Mana Shield took 1531 damage
Mana Shield took 1214 damage
Mana Shield took...
...
While the Mana Shields were lasting a bit with one breaking once in a while, I was literally being drained of mana from this damn attack in mere seconds! There were hundreds of messages appeared in my vision and eventually the game took a hint and stopped putting them there.
Break!
Break!
Break!
One by one my mana shields broke lasting only a few seconds against the energy ball. But the worse wasn't there yet. There was yet to be the explosion....I only had 6 mana shields by the time the energy ball exploded in my face.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
Mana Shield took 84 513 damage
Mana Shield broke
….
In an instant all of my defences disappeared and I too disappeared...wait, I'm still alive!
I checked the remainder of mana I had and it was in the low 10 000s. Recovery Burst activated increasing my mana regeneration up massively to around 450-600 mana per second with my other skills that increased mana regeneration.
In a minute, I regained a total of 10% of my mana back.
Fafnir was also standing there impressed that I survived such an attack.
“Mana Absorption!”
Mana absorption is now active
I started to drain even Fafnir's mana was I continued to take mana from the area. There seems to be a lot of creatures in this area since I was regenerating at over 1000 mana per second now but it seems they hid due to our appearance.
Flapping his wings, he took into the air firing those energy balls at me but with less power. It seems it take a while for him to gather enough energy to fire something of that level. Returning fire at Fafnir, I usually fired to make sure the energy ball attacks didn't hit me or to give me room to run in a certain direction.
But really, Fafnir was like a machine gun firing those energy balls at me rapidly. If it weren't that fact that I used Mental Acceleration to increase my thinking speed to aim and fire in time, I would've died a few times over.
I need to get Fafnir out of the air now!
Neutral Formation ? AOE factor ? Gravity Factor ? Amplify Factor ? Gravity Hell
“Gravity Hell!”
I increased the gravity around Fafnir a few times over intending to make him fall to the ground at least but Fafnir simply flapped his wings and casually moved out of the area that was affected will only a bit of height being decreased.
Tch, even this wasn't enough? That is no choice, I really need to match him in power.
“Full Dragon Shift!”
Full Dragon Transformation is now active, all stats +80%
Turning into full Dragon form, I outsize it 3-4 times with my giant body and black scales.
Dragon Breath!
I didn't even let Fafnir be surprised that I turned back into this form before I attacked immediately. It seems that he didn't see me properly when I attacked him the first time.
BOOM!
The Dragon Breath which was really just the same as his energy ball attack but larger in size blew up in his face.
My in Magic King Drive mode, Golden markings also appeared on my Dragon Body as well making me look like some sort of mythical dragon of doom.
Fafnir fired an energy ball back to me which I couldn't dodge due to my large body. However I thickened my scales to block the attack which took out some scales when it hit. Likewise I fired back at Fafnir but it quickly was apparent that I was causing less damage to him than me.
Therefore I had to use another thing that I rather not use in a time like this again. Magic in Dragon Form. While the damage rapidly increases, the costs of the spells rapidly increase as well. But now was the time to be thinking of that stuff, I have enough mana for a few blows.
Wind Formation ? AOE form ? Consume Factor ? Explode Factor ? Exploding Wind
“Exploding Wind!”
The spell I just made up sucks the target into it and doesn't let it out. While this was happening, the wind that is used to trapped the target will also cause them damage when it moves sharply in all kinds of directions. Frankly it was overpowered against large foes that were slow.
Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang
Cuts appeared on Fafnir's body as blood was spilt. It was the first time I even damaged him using magic in this battle. Damn and that attack consumed a good 15% of my total mana as well. But first I need to add in another spell to the mix before my first spell ends.
Fire Formation ? AOE Factor ? Explode Factor ? Fire Explosion
“Fire explosion!”
From the same place, fire erupted from that point and was consumed into the Exploding Wind spell which caused Fafnir to take larges amount of fire damage as well.
“Gaaaaaaaaaaar! Time to get serious!”
Golden Aura also erupted from the middle of the space that was filled with fire and instantly pushed away all of the fire to make it disappear. Fafnir still had that amount of power left? In that case I need to compress my spells while increasing the power of them at the same time.
Calculation automatically went into my head as I added commands to the spell was forming. If you needed to pressurise something to the extremes, then water is the way to go.
Water Formation ? Spear Form ? Compress factor ? Compressed Water Spear
“Compressed Water Spear!”
Water quickly gathered in front of me and formed into a large water spear. However it kept on going smaller and smaller until it was the size of a normal spear.
“Fire!”
Unleashing the pressure from the water spear, the water itself shot out at extreme speeds that was impossible to catch even with Mental Acceleration!
Bang!
A hole was made in the scales of Fafnir to the point that it exited from the other end of his body. It was too bad the spell missed and it didn't hit his head which would've been a one shot kill. However at the same time this spell took 40% of my mana to cast. It was an extremely powerful spell that could pierce through the armour and defence of a Dragon King but in turn had an extremely high cost as well.
............
............
The battle continued with hours passing. The first thing was that Dragonic Overload went inactive due to the time limit being reached. At this point, it had been a bit under 4 hours since I started this fight.
Due to that, I was taking more damage than normal as well as having less mana regeneration. It was only thanks to mana absorption that I could survive to this point and from there on in this battle.
I started to slow down my attacks which in steed increased the opportunities of Fafnir to attack which still reduced my mana but not as much as me attacking. Another few hours continued and Dragonic Release was gone as well sealing away Mana Absorption at the same time.
My mana levels were on a all time low and I barely recovered any mana while fighting. Eventually even Magic King Drive and Battle Aura faded away when my stamina ran out as well. At the same time Dragon Transformation deactivated due to the lack of mana to continue the skill.
“Ha......ha.....ha.....ha.....”
I was on the ground on my knee trying to catch my breath.
All stamina has been exhausted, it is recommended that you rest else you may fall unconsciousness
With that message appearing in front of me, I knew I lost. Damn even with everything I still lose. This Golden Dragon was too strong, stronger than anything I faced before. There wasn't even a chance for me to use in the entire fight.
Fafnir was in front of me, he was probably going to finish me off now. Damn how the hell damn I going to explain this to the others...Warlic did say this Dragon King was too much for me right now. He was completely right. I would need at least 2 no 3 times more power to even make a decent dent on his heath.
I dropped on my back looking at the sky that was so far away...
Dink!
Next to me was a certain object that was dropped next to me.
“That thing was stuck on my scale. I think it was something you wanted, something of that level cannot be considered a valuable treasure to me.”
“Eh?”
Wait a minute, this guy was fighting me without the power of the mana fragment boosting his stats even higher?! Damn how strong is this thing?!
“Something like this only affects weaklings. Any strong creature would know not to depend on such a thing.”
Well now that I think about it, the only truly strong creatures that had the mana fragments were the Clam and the Phoenix and they both easily discarded them to me without a thought on them. I guess that means they were powerful enough that they didn't need it.
I collected the mana fragment when a bit of my stamina returned.
Ding
Mana Fragments Collected: 2/7
Then Fafnir gave a short explanation for some reason.
“At your current strength, you will be able to match a high levelled Dragon but it is still far cry from the level of a Dragon King, even more to a Heavenly Dragon and certainly far away from the power that the Dragon God possesses.”
Eh? There are higher ranks than Dragon King? Wait, there was a Dragon GOD as well?! Damn what kind of monster is that? In any how, I now have respect for this Dragon.
“You have proven yourself to a certain level. I will not collect panties from you.”
“....”
Eh? What was that? Did I hear wrong?
“If you win; you get treasure, if you lose; you lose panties”
“....”
I'm am quickly losing all respect for this creature in front of me.
“CLICK-CLICK ZOOM-ZOOM IYAAAN”
“....”
What the hell did that mean?! What the hell happened to my respect?!
Fafnir then flapped his wings and then disappeared from sight.
It was only when I went back to Alexandra and Viv that I noticed that they completely levelled the town they were in. It seems when I went away, they waged war against the Ico Guild and won completely leaving no survivors.

- Change of plans, this chapter was meant to be chapter 9 but I felt the story would flow better if this was chapter 8 and the planned chapter 8 was moved to chapter 9 instead.
- Didn't know what kind of skills and abilities Fafnir had so I kinda made them up....energy balls are fine right....wait a second...I should've made it so Fafnir powered up with panties! Nooooooooooooooooooooooo, should've written that in....too late though....
- Cough...no copyright intended in the writing of this chapter....cough....cough....
- Around 40% done with chapter 9 though....my fingers a bit slow lately....do they know the hell that will come after chapter 9? My god the planning for that final chapter already took 5 whole pages....
