Part 1 – The continued Deaths
Where am I....? Back at that town again....I think. Somehow I feel like its even more deserted than before....was this my fault as well.....?
I feel.....completely fine to be honest. Oh well, things happen and I still have to kill that Gyarados in order to collect its mana fragment.
I stretched my arms as if I was it was stiff from....well death. I do hope that feeling stiff in the arms is caused by death in game.
[Eden! Its about time you revived, I was getting a bit bored talking to narrator here]
Yeah, it wasn’t as fun with someone to tease....someone else to talk with. Yeah, that was what I meant.
“How long are you going to keep stalking me.....narrator is it? Who the hell are you?”
You don't need to know. Just know that I'm actually here to help....whenever I can. Although sometimes I can be your enemy in this case.
I doubt there's not much time for help when you're actually the cause of most of my troubles. Why the hell did that Magikarp evolve into a Gyarados?
Umm....I think I forgot to press b. Sorry about that. Not really though, although I liked the sight of you getting hyper-beamed and turned into dust before my eye. Well...its a hobby but you people have worse hobbies in this world.
Yeah I know! Its been ages since someone like this became our toy!
I ignored the fact that the very same being that caused me to die via using that Gyarados was actually talking to me right now and teasing me about the entire thing. What is wrong with that guy?
Anyway, as I ignored the two who are still having some sort of pleasant conversation in my head I made it back to the lack quite quickly as I ran.
A bit out of breath I looked around the lake to find it completely deserted again.
“Something is wrong here....”
I looked around again and found that there was literally no lifeforms here. I took out the mana detector and it still pointed to this place so that Gyarados is still here....somewhere.
Well, I made sure the Gyarados didn't leave else it might be a bit more difficult for you to face it over and over again. To be honest, I'm surprised that you didn't get back up or something.
“Well I am wanted!”
Oh, there was that as well. Forgot about that, you should know who placed the bounty on you later on.
“...”
Did this narrator guy placed the bounty on me? Or was it someone he knows?
“llyfr do you have any idea where that big fish went?” I said really wanting to steer the conversation in another direction.
[Well.....its here somewhere, hiding or more likely doing something else....lure it out]
“Right....”
I focused my mind and created an image of a fishing pole.
“Creation Magic: Fishing Pole”
A fishing pole appeared in front of me and I grabbed it and immediately started fishing.....

5 Minutes later.....
Rumble
And I probably lured it out all right.
“Garrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!”
The Gyarados appeared again! And this time I was prepare.....what is that light coming from its mouth?
Gyarados use HYPER BEAM SUCKER!!!

“Okay this time, I won't get one shot by that damnable hyper beam.”

I shot a lightning bolt into the water which conducted the attack to the Gyarados. Naturally this was to lure it out and attack it as much as possible until it dies!

The Gyarados appeared in front of me and before it could hyper beam me again, I chose to attack first.
Lightning Formation ? Shower Form ? Lightning Shower
Using a much more simplified process to use Lightning Shower I gathered mana quickly and activated the spell.
“Lightning Shower!”
10 large bolts of lightning fell onto the Gyarados one at a time as it screamed in pain by my attack.
Gyarados use aqua tail!
“Eh?”
The Gyarados by the command of that damn narrator guy jumped in the air and using its tail tried to smash me underneath it with great power.
Wind Formation ? Enchant Factor ? Wind Legs
“Wing legs!”
Agility is doubled for short amount of time
I jumped out of the way no sooner than the Gyarados hit the ground with its tail.

It seems this kind of spell was very powerful but short. Well, I have another way of escaping now which is a very good thing.
Gyarados use Ice Fang!
Suddenly the Gyarados' mouth area became white and cold.....as it somehow travelled on land and bite me into pieces at high speeds which I couldn't react to....

I couldn't even dodge due to the massive thing's speed and range.

The Gyarados appeared in front of me without me even provoking it at all.

The eyes of the Gyarados glowed and I felt some sort of fear from it....

Defences were.....shit! It can already one shot me properly and now it wants to reduce my pitiful defences even more?! This is bad, need to attack now!

I gathered some wind in my hand and threw it at the Gyarados as a blade of some sort.

The attack hit it and.....it didn't effect it much at all. Is this the level of power which I can get from only low ranked magic? Or is it that wind type magic doesn't affect it much...need to find out.

The Gyarados moved about in the lake and fired a couple of shots at me that didn't have much power. I dodged most of them and prepared for the next step.

Shut it! Why can't pokemon know more than 4 moves?! Do you really think that when they forget a move, they actually forget it?! Do you know what they feel when they used to have a move that can help them and yet cannot since the trainer says they can't?! This Gyarados can use as many moves as it wants under my command! Muhahahahahahahahahahah!!!
The Gyarados did some sort of weird dance as my body quickly transformed into that form from way back. My hair turned silver, eyes turned golden, scales grew and wings appeared from my back. And I could feel that it was progressing further and further as well.
“Well let's get started then.”

I gathered a much larger quantity of wind in my hands and threw it at the Gyarados that was still dancing.
“Air Slash!”

The Gyarados flinched for a second from my attack this time. It seemed it was at least sort of effective against it....wait....I should be using lightning attacks against it.
Gyarados use Hydro Pump~
Water gathered in its mouth quickly and shot out as a torrent of water towards me.

“Ice Shield!”
Gathering a large amount of mana for the ice magic, I created a thick wall of ice in front of me to counter the attack.
“Isn't this a bit too much?!”
Well you're still alive so I suppose it's isn't enough yet!
Need to attack more often else it'll kill me again.
Lightning Formation ? Axe Form ? Thunder Axe
I started running on the ground to the left of the shield when the attack seemed to end and gathered lightning in the shape of a axe in my hand.
“Thunder Axe!”
I raised and swung my hand down at the Gyarados while running and produced lightning that stroked down at it like a person using a axe to chop something.
“Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!!!”
Oh` Didn't think you had such a move Eden! Time to counter attack! Gyarados use twister~

For some reason there was a large amount of air gathering under me right now......shit.

Honestly I can't believe I died 3 times in a row with the same enemy. It'll literally take me no more than a week to regain all of those levels facing high levelled monsters! I better charge straight into it again.

I looked at my hand to find that the stones were really not there since they broke the last time. Then why haven't I transformed yet?

The moment I released the seals, I could feel that my body was transforming because of the heat and pain coming from within. This is the kind of thing that you don't get used to easily.

Before the Gyarados could use another attack to screw me over, I casted Earth Pillar at it creating a large amount of rock and other stuff to form a pillar straight under it.

And I feel like my attack had literally no effect on it at all. Then I felt like that was some sort of heavy presence around the Gyarados. I have a bad feeling about this.

Is it me or is it a bit red now? And has large fins on its back....yeah the top bit was blue but the bottom half was red.....and its forehead also increased in size as well. What kind of form is this...?
This form is called Mega Gyarados! Its going to rock your world!
The Gyarados in its new form jumped in the air and roared at me.

I took a glance behind me to find that the trees, or what's left of them were covered in ice or was turned completely into ice.

Once more I was standing in front of the Gyrarados that was back to its normal form....but its twice the size it was before.....I can presume its strength and speed is much higher than before as well...

In a flash of light, the Gyarados transformed again. Oh, I really got my work cut out for me this time....and the last couple of times as well to be honest.

The Gyarados gathered water in its mouth again and shot it at me.
Ice Formation ? Wall Form ? Ice Wall
“Ice Wall!”
I raised a wall in front of me to block the attack and to also stall for a bit of time so I can prepare a large spell.
Lightning Formation ? Axe Form ? Thunder Axe
Water Formation ? Spear Form ? Water Spear
I gathered the two different types of magicks together and formed a new spell
Consecutive Casting ? Thunder Axe + Water Spear ? Thunder Insulating Halberd
“Let's do this!”
I grabbed the Halberd which was light enough for me to spin around my hand a couple of times with confidence.
I jumped over the wall ignoring the fact that the Hydro Pump was still in play and sliced at Hydro Pump attack.

Splitting the attack into two as I totally planned and not hoped for the best, I ran to the Gyarados that was still stunned from the fact that its attack was cut in half.....is it me or I'm becoming like Alexandra in that aspect.

The Gyarados retreated as I pursued it swinging the Halberd to deflect the attacks it was throw at me. I need more range and power!

I imbued the Thunder Halberd with more power which made it glow heavily and increase in size as well as making its outline a bit more blurred then before.

Accelerating in the air, I pierced towards the Gyarados in high speeds.

The Gyarados' teeth shone and sharpened as it moved to bite me into pieces.
Damnit, I don't know how to fly!
I moved the halberd to block the attack which was most likely going to kill me if it hits. The Gyarados moved in and opened its large mouth that could shallow me and teeth that were sharper than a good sword.
Wait....shallow.....hmm.....
Time seemed to slow down as my mind worked faster to go inside of the Gyarados and hopefully rip it apart inside out before I get to the stomach and all the acid stuff happens. With one step I landed in the mouth of the giant Gyarados.
With the next step I leaped into the throat area.
And the last was preparing the largest spell I could that could harm it

Part 2 – The Eventual Victory
5 Rounds later....

Is it finally dead? Did I finally kill that thing?

I did look around and saw the corpse of the red Gyarados around me. I think it turned red after one of the rounds for some reasons. It seemed that it used the power of the mana fragment to consume the other Magikarps in the lake and it processing it through to gain their powers and eventually turned red.
Now I think about it, I do see some guts that haven't been smashed enough.
I took the golden sword in my right hand and started whacking it over and over again until it was more like some sort of paste.
“Hmm? I feel like something is wrong....”
Have you finally seen what you've done?!
“Didn't Linda say the ball or something where I can slaughter hundreds of nobles would be in a month....a month ago....?”
Sigh......seriously? Sorry llyfr, this one is even more crazy then the one that tried to make a religion out of you.
[Understandable narrator. Hope you visit sometime later though. Only got through a few centuries of history that passed with the time we talked]
Yeah.....I'll come back either when this one is replaced or I'm bored enough as well as have some sanity points for me to stand this sight.

“Chat Room....? What the hell?”
[Oh, you didn't know that your head could do that? Why do you think all those people that were deemed crazy or guided by God have multiple voices telling them to do different stuff?]

Now that I think about it more.....I really did go nuts on the Gyarados. Enough to shatter its corpse all around the place and literally turn the lake red mixed with its guts. Not the greatest feeling you can have on a nice day like this.
I took out the mana detector and looked at where the arrow was pointing.
“Let's see.....over there”
Walking through the wreckage of what was once most possibly the greatest foe I've encountered, I moved the mushy remains of it and eventually a shiny object appeared. It was the mana fragment. As I picked it up, the message appeared notifying of the quest update

“Two more to go eh....”
This journey was slowly but surely going to end. This journey that had tormented me for so much....though I must admit there were some good parts as well mixed in there.
“I wonder what the other two are doing....”
I thought about the other two, namely Alexandra and Viv for a split second before running back to where Linda, the crazy admirer who has the key to my plan.
Part 3 – Current Life, Alexandra
“Sonic Sword!”
The armed guard covered his sword with some sort of wind magic and used it to increase the range and intensity of his slashes. Covered in full plate armour, the man was actually quite clumsy allowing me to dodge several attacks at a time. However it did not help that this man was not alone.
“Surround the wrench!” shouted the captain of these people.
Honestly I don't get why these people are chasing me down. I might ask them now rather than beating them up and finding out later.
“Why are you chasing me?” I shouted as I fought off several men at once with my superior speed and power.
“Give us back the crowned jewels of the Royal Family and we, the Royal Guards will spare your miserable life!” the captain shouted back.
Oh, they were the Royal Guards. That explains a lot. Now I think about it, the old man did have a crown on his head. Thought it was his birthday or something.
“So, the old man's birthday wasn't today? I though the crown was something only used in birthdays” I muttered aloud as I used most of my skills to block off the attacks of the Royal Guards I've pissed off.
“IT WAS TODAY AND YOU STOLE IT. KILL HER!!!”
Hey, I thought you were going to spare my life. Well then, I might beat you all to death then.
“SWORD WAVE!”
I swung rapidly at the Royal Guards, blasting them away with quite frankly, my favourite skill that I use the most. I almost completely mastered it as well.
However I was also quite frequently told my both Viv and Eden to use more means to defeat my enemies. Something about friendly fire being on in this game....
“Holy Bolt!”
I stuck one of the Royal Guards that were getting up from the ground knocking him out with that.
“Let the Light of Mighty glow as Night burn bright! Flash Explosion!”
A large amount of light gathered in my sword when I said those words and impaled it into the ground. Light shorn from the crack in the ground as the spell was doing its best work.
BANG!
Flash Explosion of one of the new skills I've learnt recently. It was quite useful to disperse enemies when surrounded as it acts as a flash bang that doesn't affect you when set off. Although you shouldn't use it when you allies nearby according to a certain who complained.
“Errrrrrrrrrrrrrr....”
“My eyes.....”
“Can't see......”
With the Royal Guards literally knocked unconscious or on the ground in pain with their eyes, I took out the crown that I borrowed from a kind old man who let me see it.
“The crown....”
I looked at the person who muttered those words and it was the captain of all people. Sword in ground and hand on one eye, the captain was not that effected by the spell that rendered his squad useless.
“Do you want it back?” I asked. If he wanted, then I would since I didn't intend to take it at all.
When I holding the crown and was going to give it back to the old man, an attack happened and I was forced to defend the old man as several people dressed in black clothing ran around killing people.
One of those people was quite skilled and I wanted to fight that person so I followed him and fought him to the death and won. Next thing you know, I'm wanted for stealing some crown.
“Stain my Honour with your lies?! I rather work with you to earn it back then that!”
“Okay, you can have it back when you help me solve this problem I'm having with my current quest.”
The captain taken back approached me who was still holding the ground and said, “What kind of problem?” with great suspicions, “I can only kill a couple of people mind you before I cannot endure much more for my king.”
Noting that, I took out a map and pointed at this place which I haven't been able to find.
“That's!” The captain was quite shocked.
He pointed to my left for some reason.
“Walk in that direction of around a kilometre and you'll find the place. It's quite a common pub you're searching for....in fact its off the main road which is near us....”
“Ah, thanks”
I threw the Crown to him before heading to the main road.
“Wait!”
Eh? I looked at the Captain confused.
“The Main Road is the other way.”
He pointed to the other direction in which I was walking to.
“Oh, sorry.”
I started running to the main road now that it was confirmed that it was in this direction.
“Wait, that's still-”
Sprinting ahead, leaving the Captain behind~
Part 4 – Current Life, Viv
“Nature's calling, nurture the young to be strong and healthy. Nature's Blessing!”
Blessing the group I was with they proceeded to kill the lizardmen that had originally ambushed us and almost drove us to a corner. However the spell I just casted also increased the nature resistance of the party as well which reduced the damage of the lizardmen dramatically.
“Good work everyone!”
“Yeah!”
“That was exhausting”
After a while, Viv had encountered several groups in which tried to recruit him for various reasons. The most common was most likely for him to be their mascot to attract attention and jealousy from other players.
However this group was a bit different from the others. For starters, they had never asked Viv to join them, rather Viv asked to join them for his own gains. To be more precise, Viv needed to use their skills to help him find a certain item he needed.
They were treasure hunters whom explore dungeons in order to find rare items. But these lot focused more on the adventure aspect of the roles they played.
“Hey Viv, are we close to the dungeon where the treasure you want to find is?” asked one of the group members.
Unlike most people whom party with large numbers, this group only has 4 members, all of which have classes and skill that are associated with treasure hunting.
The one that had spoken to Viv had the class Adventurer and specialise in deciphering ancient texts. He had the look of a scholar but was also quite skilled with a spear.
“We are near! Do you doubt my magic skills?!” retorted another more vibrant member of the group.
This member of the group was the only magician. Specialising in illusion based magic with a touch of water and wind magic, she is capable to how her ground against some of the more fearsome foes they came to face.
“Well there was one time where you led us into the bathroom of a young maiden which resulted in the rest of us being thrown in gaol! It was quite difficult to escape when my hands where chained up and I was hung upside down.”
The one who made the shocking remark was of the thief class and also specialised in lock picking and disarming traps of all kinds. While his mouth was more than often running about, he actually had the proper skills to do his job right.
“Like you can talk. You once almost got us exiled from a kingdom when you started flirting with a princess that was getting married on that day!”
The last member of the group was also the largest and the one who was considered the leader of the group. He looked more like a fallen knight then anything else but he held the very unusual class of Guardian and a skill set that improved luck and gold drops that was even more unusual for his class that is considered a tank class.
However they all worked well together and seemed to have a good time together even when things went bad for them. I think it was like this with Al and Eden despite the two trying to screw the other over. It was actually quite humorous to watch them fight since they were like close siblings fighting over the most trivial things.
“Grrrr.....”
Viv suddenly felt a bad feeling in the air. After experiencing horrible situations with Al and Eden to the point that it was more common than normal ambushes, Viv had developed a good sense on when things were about bad quickly.
“The Forest that protects, let your seeds grow to defend me! Defence Roots!”
As such Viv casted one of the defence spells he had on the group.
“What the...”
Then around a couple of dozen lizardmen appeared with their cruel weapons trying to ambush the group.
However they were in for a surprise.
WHACK WHACK WHACK
Giant roots appeared around the surprised group knocking back the lizardmen that tried to attack.
“Hatred of the Besieged flows through the air, in the rivers and in the depths of the tainted grounds. Curse of Chains!”
From the ground also came hands. Not bones or anything physical but hands that were transparent. They gripped onto the legs of the lizardmen, restricting their movements as they tried to break free from the hands that didn't fall apart when cut.
This was one of the spells that Viv had learnt a while back but never got the chance to use that often. The main reason was that both Alexandra and Eden got creep out by it resulted in Viv not wanting to use it often. Also the two to Viv were much more frightening in the eyes of their enemies from the ways they managed to destroy them with ease like a natural disaster that you cannot predict.
Curse of Chains was dark magic that reduced the strength, speed and defence of the targets. A handy feature of this spell was that the enemies loss fighting spirit and morale quickly as well thanks to this spell which in turn made the battles much easier.
“O forest, O fierce forest. Your children have travelled countless lands, countless seas and have rampaged on the four corners of this world. Light and water gives strength to your children and I ask that you strike the ones that disrupt this balance. Strike Roots!”
Now Viv moved in to finish them off quickly without any regard to her team mates. Creating even more roots with his larger than average mana pool, he quickly crushed the lizardmen into pieces.
“...”
“...”
“Hey....we should never anger Viv okay”
One of the members of the group said that aloud and the other quickly agreed. Viv did not know himself, but others feared him the most of the three. More then even Eden and Alexandra.
