Yoo Byung-Joon sat casually waiting for the 'good' news that he will get.
[Master, the agent has contacted the research facility and gained control over them]
“Ah, its about time. Let's see.....subtracting the time it took for him to fly over....he only took a hour to gain control” calculated Yoo Byung-Joon who had the mind of a genius.
[Actually, it took him no more than 46 minutes since he had traffic along the way]
“...”
The Goddess AI easily countered his words as if it was nothing. Yoo Byung-Joon could only think, 'As expected from my greatest creation.'
However those words never left his mouth.
“How many times do I have to tell you to never do that again.” complained Yoo Byung-Joon. He did not actually like his genius measured against something like a super computer.
After a few seconds of silence Yoo Byung-Joon started the conversation again.
“So, what was there?” asked Yoo Byung-Joon waving his hand.
[Research on immortality]
“Ha?”
Yoo Byung-Joon could not comprehend the sheer stupidity of such research. He of all people knew that life had to end somewhere. Even if you extent or reinforce it, it'll still have an ending. That was why Yoo Byung-Joon refused to extent his own life.
To die doesn't mean you will become nothing. Everything you have done or did will be remembered especially in this age of technology. What kept Yoo Byung-Joon from doing the same things as these 'idiots' was the fact that he will leave his legacy to his successor.
[To be more precise, a way to revive the dead]
“You have to be kidding.”
Even books did not have stories like that anymore. That kind of thing was outdated for decades now.
Yoo Byung-Joon sighed since the Goddess was telling him this, that only means one thing.
“So they've succeed correct?”
[Correct, though there are only a few cases. The one who holds the identity of Eden as well as two others are exceptions to this as well]
“Exceptions?”
[They go beyond that they and humans were capable of. They grew in strength or evolve per say. Some people even called them geniuses or monsters]
“...”
Yoo Byung-Joon pondered about this statement for a bit. Such cases were not rare in this kind of world.
There will be always people who can do things others cannot.
There will be always people who can easily do the same thing as others.
There will be always people who can do the impossible.
Although that last statement is not entirely correct, he can sympathies with such people for people like them and himself are called geniuses. Just because they are able to do what others cannot.
The line between being called a genius or monster is thin, very thin. Or rather it is dependent on the person helping or opposing you.
That is the conceit of humanity.
“So what are they working on now?” asked Yoo Byung-Joon.
[Currently implementing the mind into an artificial body]
“Hmm...so that's how it is. Make sure they don't test on Eden and the other two. They are too fun to kill off for now. Also contact me when Eden dies and comes back.”
With those words, Yoo Byung-Joon went back to monitoring the world he had created.

Seraph was in chaos right now. The research lab was purchased completely by several companies at once and they all were connected to Unicorn.
“Just how much power and money do those people have?!”
Right now Seraph was monitoring the 'vitals' of the 'people' she was working with. As such he was completely focused on only that and thus did not expect an answer.
“It is not the power of several people but one.” said the male voice that would immediately make Seraph go into alarm mode.
“Wow!”
By instinct, Seraph threw his arm at the person by mistake. However the other man was not hit at all but seemed to be further away than before. Was he that far away? Not even Seraph knew. But all he could see was that he was not harmed.
“What do you mean by 'one'?” asked Seraph when he regained his composition.
The man simply smiled and Seraph didn't like it. It was the look that a parent gave their child when they say something wrong or ignorant.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
“Do you really think a person can have so much power to even rule the world in this day and age.”
No. That was the answer Seraph knew immediately. But there was something wrong with this man's answer. That lead to doubt and therefore changed his answer.
“Yes.” Seraph answered.
The man chuckled at the answer Seraph gave.
“You are right and wrong at the same time. A single man does not have the power to rule over the world. But a single man can rule over the arms that work the world.”
Those words confused Seraph. They did not make sense at all. However the man did not let Seraph think much more about this.
“So this is the one called Eden.”
The man looked down at the console that operated the mind and therefore life of a person. It was one of the very few that were fully compatible with the console and in fact was too compatible for a human.
“Eden?” Seraph did not know what that word could reference.
The man looked at Seraph with curious eyes and asked, “This person is called Lin correct?”
“Yes.” was the only answer Seraph could give since it was the truth.
“I see. So this is the interesting one.” the man muttered out a little too loud.
The man looked around some more and then asked another question.
“There were two more like this one. Where are they?”
The man scanned the room that was filled with another 4 consoles, each supporting a life each. He looked at them like they were junk. Each console costed millions and perhaps billions of dollars to make and maintain. Each 'person' that was able to be retrieved was worth even more.
“They are in their own department who are working on them.” answered Seraph again.
In total, there were 5 main departments there only supported the lives of these 'people'. The others spanned out to do even more outrageous things that could only end horribly if the public found out.
But leaks were easily filled.
“Move them here and your team will work on all three of them alone.” ordered the man.
That kind of order went beyond what he should be able to do but with a single phone call, Seraph was forced to compile with it.
“Wha-”
Seraph could only mutter that before the man cut him off.
“That is an order. Do no let them fade.”
With that, the man left Seraph alone to do his work.
Seraph sighed. This was becoming more and more troublesome by the second. While the pay was really good and he was getting experience that no one else could in his area of expertise, Seraph was stressed by the recent events. Very stress.
He looked at the console once again remembering the words the man spoke.
“So you are called Eden in there eh.”
Seraph could only relate that word with the game Royal Road. Though Seraph had spoken with the boy, he seemed further away then before.
