Part 1 – Bandit Solutions
Its been around two days now and we were about to reach the town that was destroyed by the Cyclops in its rampage.
From these two days I've come to understand the traits of these people I’m with.
For starters the leader of the group named Don was of the knight class with heavy armor that meant most things couldn't damage him much. He had a special skill called double impact that combines the damage done on an enemy into one strike which was very powerful. This meant enemies of even half health was killed, however he said this didn't work well with boss monsters since it could only apply the damage in a certain amount of time.
The second melee person in the party was a thief named Barry. Aside from trap dismantling which was a God sent in a dungeon filled with traps, he was a close-mid range fighter that throws poison knives. This with his speed made him unstoppable on the battlefield.
Then there were the three range people. The archer was a female named Mary whom was a sniper. She had the piercing shot skill and levelled it up a lot and also could scout the place and lure in enemies.
The mage also female was named Jenny was a lightning mage that apparently could use the very powerful lightning shower spell. Besides lightning she could use some fire and earth magic but it wasn't as effective as the lightning shower spell.
The final member of the party was a priest named Michael who had a pretty powerful bluff besides his heal. Each and every one of them went through their second class advancement already which meant they entered the second part of the game which set them aside from other players below level 200.
The final thing I noticed about these guys is that they don't care about me at all. I believe they want the experience and fame that comes with the quest in order to promote themselves. Basically I found out even though I had my suspicions the moment they offered to help me.
Roughly in the previous night....
A campfire was made using some sticks and leaves that were on the ground. Jenny used her fire magic to light it up and the whole group besides me sat near it. According to Don there were some monsters wandering around at night in this area so I had to keep a lookout. This seems a but far fetched but I don't really care if there are monsters or not here.
[They make it very apparent that they're using you]
Well it was mutually beneficial for both sides. I really complain.
[If you unlock the second seal then there's a high possibility that you could kill the Cyclops without these people]
True but using other people is fine once in a while right. Also I don't trust those guys at the information guild.
[Yeah...there's going to be some sort of trap later on. Be prepared]
I know. Also doesn't it seem like the night is a bit bright?
[Its a racial benefit]
Ah, another one of your perks.
[…]
What? Do you know how many ways your existence influenced by body?
[Besides the skills you gained, the ability to detect life forms and night vision right now]
Right now? There's more.
[Yeah, you think something like me can take on God level beings with just that?]
Well...you did have the mana absorption skill which made you ultra powerful right?
[How did you think I contained all that power Eden? Your body collapsed when you used more power than you could handle]
Hmm...that is true so was your body different from humans?
[Not really. I was special kind of human. A spirit container]
A...spirit container?
[A vessel that can hold unlimited power]
I see...and how rare are humans that are spirit containers?
[Think about winning the lottery. And now think about the chance of continuously 5 weeks in a row]
So...very rare.
[Rare that one is born but otherwise not that rare. Another trait is that most of us are immortal in the sense that we regenerate quickly from death though there is a limit]
So that was why you were sealed away not killed.
[Yeah it was useless to kill me]
Isn't that kinda sad?
[Sad? Hahahahahahahaha. How amusing Eden! For that I'll give you a new trick later on!]
“................hey......................what......................kid...............”
Hmm? It seems our friends are talking without us. Time to earsdrop on them.
[Ah it seems your hearing is better than humans as well. Now what about your sense of smell and taste....]
Wait a minute....couldn't you just say that my senses are better than humans instead of saying which was better individually?
[I had no idea which trait would improve or not. Better to not give you false hope right?]
Why YOU!
[Hey your making too much noise. Calm down]
I noticed that I stepped on some leaves which made some sound. I quickly took my foot off the leaves and went around using the night and trees to get a bit closer to the group. Thankfully I didn't need to get that close to them to hear what they were saying. From what I saw with the slight gimps I got when I was moving the group did not move much when I left them for surveillance duty. It sounded like they were talking about me.
“So how are we going to deal with that kid after the quest?” That voice was Mary I think. Was she considering disposing me or something?
“Why can't we deal with the wrench right now? It'll be easy. A slit and she's gone.” It looks like Barry wants to kill me now. I mentally prepared myself to fight later on.
“No we can't” Oh! Someone on my side. This voice was most likely Don's. “What happens like the quest gets cancelled when we kill her? Also this quest was made for the kid. She is a crucial key to the quest so we need to protect her until it ends.”
“Then what do we do with the reward and contributions?” asked Jenny. It seems this group was more concern about the reward than the quest itself. They must be confident to be able to finish the Cyclops off.
“In the first place can we kill this Cyclops. We are powerful enough to take on normal mobs and special mobs but this would be considered a low difficulty boss monster right?” Michael seems to have some doubt.
I don't blame him. Cyclops in this world are in the level 300 range which means that would be around a 100 level difference between it and the group. Well I had enough. I'm going back to surveillance duty now. I quietly got back to where I was sitting before and slept a bit before waking up in the morning. I noticed that Don was lying about the monsters so I didn't care about the keeping a eye out at all.
Now back to the presents.....
“It looks like the town was occupied by bandits.” said Don seeing the smoke and the barricades set up around the small town. “Mary how many do we expect?”
Mary was up on a tree trying to see as much as possible.
She replied with, “Around 30 maybe more.”
With that, Don smiled and said, “Good, Eden you stay at the back.”
Looks like I don't need to do anything...again.
We all approached the town with little hesitation and one bandit that was on look out shouted, “ENEMIES!” out loud with prompted a loud horn to be blown and bandits swarming out of the town to greet us or rather the group that seemed to be confidence on killing all of them.
I noticed that Jenny that gathering a large amount of mana to use. She was definitely going to use a lightning shower here. She raised her hand up and said, “Lightning Shower” after a slightly long chant.
Immediately lightning rained from the sky and hit the bandits charging at us. I think most of them died during the spell but there were still some that lived. Barry and Mary moved in killing off the remainder of the bandits.
The spell was really powerful but Jenny was only able to use it once per battle since it took most of her mana in one go. I should try the spell out later to see how it is for me.
“Okay lets go. The Cyclops should be in that forest beyond this town. It should be simple to find.” said Don as he lead the group through the destroyed town.
He didn't look at the corpses of the bandits or villagers that Jenny killed during her spell. Neither did the other members of the group. Well neither did I but that's not the point! It feels like they don't care if they existed or not. I on the other hand recognise that they existed and ignore them.
[That doesn't make it any better...]
Well don't blame me! I wasn't the one who killed them.
[There's something called empathy you know]
What's that?
[Never mind...]
As we approached the forest I noticed that there were a large number of life forms besides the Cyclops. They were much bigger than insects and small animals so they could either be large beasts or humans. I hope that it was the former.
The forest itself was not that thick. The trees were spread out at the bottom but the leaves blocked out most of the light coming through.
BOOM BOOM BOOM
“Looks like we're right. It is here.” said Don out loud.
I still sense there's a number of things here that we can't see.
[Looks like the trap is about to trigger]
Yeah. I might as well use these fools as bait first. I slowed my walking and allowed the others to walk further ahead than me. I made sure I wasn't too far behind but far enough that I could escape any kind of trap thrown at me.
Part 2 – Cyclops Problems
Soon enough we reach where the Cyclops was. It was located in a large clear area with no trees around. Think of a crop circle in a forest but the size of several football fields. This is definitely a trap. It smells like a trap. It looks like a trap. It feels like a trap. And there's other people around so it is a trap of some sort.
“Hey I rather not fight it in the open” I said to the party. They looked at me and laughed. They were definitely mocking me now.
“This just makes it easier” said Mary in an arrogant tone.
Don added to the insults with, “You can stay here if you want.” Well that was a fine idea. I might take it.
I smiled at them and said, “Fine” while trying not to look angry or pissed off.
It seems they didn't notice that the Cyclops was armored up already which means it was tamed. The Cyclops was 20 metres in height and weighs so much that it made a sound comparable to a cannon when it moves. The party went ahead leaving me here.
[Is this the right choice?]
The people in the this won't do anything just yet. If I go out there the trap begins and I'll be screwed. The best option is to stay here and hope they finish the Cyclops off on their own though very unlikely.
“Piercing Shot!” Shouted Mary.
It seems they've started already. Her arrow few to hit the eye but the Cyclops moved and it hit the iron helmet it had on. Besides the helmet, the Cyclops had armor on its arms, legs, stomach and back which covered most of it. But it did not cover the joints and the eye which made them a target to hit. While the Cyclops did not carry any weapons on it which was a good thing it was still a giant that could kill you in one hit.
“Speed Bluff” Light came from Michael and covered the party.
I was out of range so it didn't affect me.
“Strength Bluff” Michael casted another bluff on the party. Now they were mostly set. It seems the Cyclops noticed the party and is able to engage.
BOOM BOOM BOOM
Barry ran to the right while Don ran to the left. Mary was trying to hit the eye but was missing a lot due to the large range she has to cover. The distance from the party to the Cyclops was 300 metres and the party was 100 metres away from me.
“Fireball” shouted Jenny. Several fireballs appeared in great numbers and bombarded the Cyclops with fire.
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM
But the armor it wore deflected most of the damage. Seeing this jenny prepared to cast the lightning shower spell on it but she needed some time to do so. Well this is going to take some time. I walked to the nearest tree that had the best view of the battle and leaned on it and observed the situation.
Both sides were now 200 metres away from each other. “Spread Shot!”
Oh it seems Mary had another skill. She strung up several arrows and shot them at the head as well. Most of the arrows hit but some still missed. This time she hit the eye.
“GGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR”
And she angered it.
[Bad Idea]
Yeah it seems they noticed it as well. The Cyclops had a angry look in its eye that was hit by some arrows and ran to the party. Shocked by the speed it could move the party tried to evade the rampaging giant they angered.
Thanks to Michael's bluffs they managed to do so. Barry now ran up to the Cyclops as he had the highest agility of the group and started climbing it. He reached the back of the knee with great difficulties and started stabbing it with poison knives. Do Cyclops have poison resistance.
[Not really. They're large to the point that it take a lot of poison to affect them]
I see so what Barry's doing is useless.
[No. If he continues for the rest of the battle the Cyclops will feel it sooner or later but I doubt he has enough poison and enough stamina to hold onto that thing for long]
Once again I felt a large amount of mana being gathered by Jenny. It looks like she finished her spell and is waiting to cast it.
“BARRY JUMP OFF NOW!” commanded Don.
He also noticed that Jenny was about to use the lightning shower spell. Barry immediately jumped off the Cyclops that was chasing Don and Mary who were taunting it and rolled on the ground as he landed.
“Lightning Shower”
A great number of lightning bolts rained from the sky and hit the Cyclops. It was a spectacular sight but it was very dangerous to use.
“GGGGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA”
It looks like the attack is affecting it. It is covered in metal after all. It looks like the Cyclops lost a large chunk of its health. The Cyclops was using its arms to try to block most of the lightning from hitting it directly. After 20 seconds the lightning shower stopped and the Cyclops was half dead.
“CHARGE!” shouted Don as he ran to the Cyclops.
“Piercing Shot Piercing Shot Piercing Shot” Mary was spamming her skill on the Cyclops, Jenny was taking a break and Barry climbing to the back of the Cyclops' neck and started stabbing.
Looks like they can handle this on their own. Hmm? What is this feeling?
[Looks like the trap began]
Swwooooooooooossssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I heard something and Michael suddenly got hit by something and died. A grey flame was all that was left of him. The other four were surprised at the sudden attack. Suddenly I felt a large quantity of magic coming to the area.
[Shield yourself]
“Mana shield times 5”
I protected myself from whatever was coming. The others were panicking by the fact that their healer died. Then I looked up. I saw a massive amount of fireballs coming down from the sky. This was bad. Really bad. If it was aimed at me then I’m screwed. Even if it wasn't aimed at me then I'm still screwed.
[Use a Earth wall as well]
Right. I imagined a wall of Earth covering me and protecting me from the attack.
“Earth Wall.”
The ground beneath me shifted and moved to directly block the impact.
BOOM BANG BING DING DUNG MUNG HUNG EUNG EING BING BANG BOOM
The Earth wall I made shattered on the amount of fireballs hitting it.

[Looks like you survived. Hurry up and real ease the first seal. You need the mana]
I checked the amount of mana I had and it was at 1613. Man if I took another hit then I would've died there. I tried to look around but there was too much dust to tell who and what was alive. All I know is that the presence I felt fired those magical attacks on the area.
Well they can't let the Cyclops be killed but wouldn't casting that much magic kill the Cyclops as well? When the dust cleared I saw my other 'team-mates' were all gone which meant they died. The body of the Cyclops was on the ground lying face down. Was it dead? I hope so. I started walking to it like an idiot.
“Well well, looks like you survived eh” It was a young male voice that had a distinct tone of arrogant mixed in it.
I looked around and saw myself surrounded by 30 no 40 people in cloaks. All of them were probably range classes since they attacked from afar with that much power.
[This is bad. You can't get out of this one. You better not die]
Shut it. I released the first seal and my mana absorption skill started up. I couldn't absorb the mana of these assholes since I'm too far away from them. What do I do? Anyway I can report the Cyclops was killed at least.
“Did you like our little pet? Awaken!” From the man's body was a purple aura(?) of some sort.
A bad feeling came form it and it covered the body of the Cyclops. Soon enough I saw the Cyclops come to life once more as it got up. Its body was no longer grey but more purple-red. I think this thing just got powered up. This is really bad! Shit! I can't escape!
[Looks like I have to help you. Release the second seal Eden]
Second seal? Yeah Warlic did mention it but I don't don't how to release it!
[Hmm...then I’ll do it. 5 Element Seal Release!]
Suddenly I felt the same sensation when I faced the giant purple humanoid rabbit. I immediately noticed that my mana filled back to the maximum 10000. Wait didn't it go to 100000 last time?
[Ah my power when berserk which caused your body to overload and die. I'll make sure you don't go over your limit]
A power wave surge thing went out of my body like the ones you see in anime and cheap movies. The force of it pushed back the cloaked people. They were panicking. Well I would to if I saw a being that survived being basted by countless fireballs and suddenly went back to full power all of a sudden.
“Shit! Kill it!” shouted one of the cloaked people. Some of them pulled out bows and fired arrows at me while other started casting magic.
[Hmm...I’ll show you a special trick you can use in this form. Cast a mana shield]
Why? Who care, I wonder what this trick is.
“Mana Shield”
The usual mana shield appeared to protect me. Hey at this rate the mana shield will be broken you know.
[Wait and see]
Arrows and magic attacks were flying to me and were hitting the mana shield.
Mana Shield took 341 damage
Mana Shield took 874 damage

Hey my mana shield isn't breaking! What did you do llyfr?
I made the mana shield skill rank up to the intermediate levels. You'll be able to do this normally when you level it up to that point. Also the damage subtracts from your mana so be careful but its still better than taking a direct hit since it negates some damage.
“Shit! Nothing's working! Get the Cyclops to attack it!”
“GGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRR”
The Cyclops made a loud sound and started to charge at me. Your a pest right now. I imagined the Cyclops being pushed up in the air by wind.
“Wind Gust”
Fooooooooossssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh
Suddenly a large quantity of wind gathered and pushed the Cyclops 20 metres in the air. I'm surprise how much more powerful I am in this state.
[You get a bonus to your power or rather I am able to influence your body more easily when the second seal is undone. Be warn though, the mana absorption goes out of hand in this state. I advice you don't use it too much unless you want a horde of beings to kill you]
I see....now to take care of this thing. I imagined a massive ice tower coming out of the ground and hitting the Cyclops.
“Ice Tower”
BANG
A tower of ice, 10 metres in diameters came out of the ground and hit the Cyclops in the stomach. It spat out some blood before the ice tower collapsed due to the weight and fell to the ground.
“Damn you.....Awaken!”
The purple aura thing went to it again and it revived once more. Man I have to deal with these guys first before the Cyclops die. Those guys at the information guild are mean. I can't really deal with the other guys if the Cyclops is targeting me but it keeps on reviving when I kill it. What do I do?
[What about making a big hole in it. Use Creation Magic to make this. Its called Torrwr]
A image of a golden spear appeared in my head. It was as tall as me in length and at the tip was a very stylist blade. The blade of the spear was mostly flat with the middle being the thickest part and it had I think wings engraved onto it. The blade itself was around 10 cm long.
“Creation Magic: Torrwr”
Creation Magic advanced to beginner level 2
Concentration increased by 1
The same spear that was in my mind was created in front of me and the skill levelled up! Wait, what's was the point of making this thing?
[Now imagine it becoming bigger and say enlarge]
I imagined the spear becoming 10 times bigger than it was right now and ignore the fact that I was being attacked.
The spear 'grew' to what I envision it would be and it floated in front of me for some reason. Why was it floating?
[Telekinesis. Its the one of three weapons you can control at will without using any external power to do so. You can control it at will]
Isn't that kinda overpowered?
[Not really...it takes an enormous amount of mana to sustain. Now hurry up and kill that Cyclops]
Yes yes. I imagined the now giant spear spinning around in front of me. As soon as I got that thought the spear did just that. Good. First I need to get rid of all the extras. I imagined the spear sweeping the ground and hitting a large number of those cloak guys.
Swwwwwwwwoooooooooossssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
BANG
The spear moved diagonally to the ground and hit around 4 or 5 people at once due to its great size. When it hit the ground I moved the spear to target another group of enemies.
BOOOM
And then I lifted the spear up high and smashed it vertically on a another bunch of enemies. Lets see....there are 13 enemies left I think. There are 14 presences I can sense including the Cyclops. Maybe I should leave some alive to interrogate them. I'll leave 3 alive and kill the rest. Now its kinda hard to kill them with this gigantic spear now. I imagined the spear returning to its former size.
“Shrink”
The spear shrank to its original size and I aimed at the very very frightened enemies. I shot the spear at the one that was trying to run away from me.
BANG
The spear quickly pierced a hole in it and hit the ground again.
[Eden try to finish this quickly. Your body can't take much more]
Right. I quickly imagined the spear piercing and killing every one expect for three. The spear quickly flew and it just that.
“RRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOAAAARRRRRRRRRRR”
Oh the Cyclops. I imagined the spear growing to its previous large size and said, “Enlarge”. The spear grew and floated in front of the Cyclops. The best way to kill the Cyclops was to make a big hole in it and for that I need some rotation. I spun the spear so that it was like a drill and pierced the Cyclops straight in the middle.

I levelled up to level 92 which was nice of the Cyclops and finished my quests as well. Now to deal with the three that are running away. I imagined the three being sucked into a place by wind.
“Wind Vortex”
The three were suddenly pulled into the centre of the spell. I then imagined them being beinf encased by ice.
“Ice Prison”
Ice started to quickly climb on their body and trapped them in ice. The ice however did no cover their faces so they could talk to me. Hey llyfr you can stop the power surge now.
[Right. Seal!]
The feeling of the large power that was flowing through me throughout the battle slowly faded away. The markings on my arms and probably all over my body stopped glowing as well. I kept the first seal undone so I wasn't completely defenceless if there was another trap. I walked up to the three that were trapped in ice as they were struggling to escape.
“Hey.” I casually said to them.
When I said that word the three suddenly flinched and looked at me with fear. Their teeth were chattering either due to the ice or fear of me. Eventually one of them spoke up.
“What do you want with us?! Haven't you terrorised this land enough?” said the man in a righteous voice.
It kinda pissed me off. Even in this world, people try to justify what they do without considering other people. Well I might as well mess with this mind a bit before killing him.
In my most charismatic voice I replied, “And what have you done? You people used a Cyclops to sacrifice innocent to fuel your own schemes.”
The three looked at me with hatred now. Good, its makes it easier for me to extract information off you if your emotional.
“You need to make sacrifices for the greater good!” said the same man.
The other two seemed to agree with this one. Well I can't really get anywhere if this one is speaking. I imagined making an iron sword.
“Creation Magic: Iron Sword”
A iron sword was formed in my hand. I gripped it and pointed the blade at the guy's neck.
The man was sweating now but still had the courage to speak. “Well look at this! This demon is going to kill me because he cannot best me in conviction”
I sighed at the man. He was definitely delusional. I once more replied to this fool.
“No, I found that I have no use for you.”
Before he could utter a word I slit his throat. Blood seeped out of the deep cut and the man's head fell dead along with the rest of his body.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh”
One of the other two started screaming in fear. He was crying. I wonder why? Its not like he was going to die as well. Oh wait. I was going to kill them all anyway. An evil smile appeared on my face which prompted the man to scream even louder and the other one to sweat heavily in fear.
“Oh shut it.” I stabbed the man that was screaming in the face which killed him.
His this the iron sword broke. It seems even when the skill levelled up, the durability of the things I make are still low.
I looked at the other man left alive and said with a bright smile, “You'll give me all the information I want right?”
The man nodded to my question which I replied, “Good. Now did the information guild send this group to kill me?” The man nodded again.
“Good that's all I need”
I grabbed his face and crushed it. My hands were stained with his blood from the act...not that I actually care. An eye for a eye, a tooth for a tooth, death for all that cross me. Now how the hell am I going to take this Cyclops back to the city?
[Hmm....use a combination of wind and earth magic to drag this thing back?]
This is going to take a while. But first I have to loot the thing.
Part 3 – Conclusion to Quest
Five Days later.....
I finally made it back to the city with the corpse of the Cyclops well at least its head. I chopped it off since it was too big to move. From my looting a gained a fair number of its bones and flesh as well as leather from its skin. I should get these to a tailor and blacksmith of new equipment. I also looted the bodies of the other people at attacked me giving some minor loot as well but I found a amulet with the information guild crest on it.
There were a couple of people that attacked me for some reason but I killed them and got this mark on my forehead. Eventually they stopped attacking me and just stared and followed behind for some reason.
When I checked my stats I realised how little it changed form the last time I saw it. I placed the 30 points from the level ups into strength to even my stats out a bit.

When I reached the city gates a large number of people were already gathered. I saw the giant man from the information centre and a very shocked Maria behind him.
The man spoke first with, “I thank you on behalf of the city for getting rid of that beast.”
I smiled at his words and said, “Well I was ambushed during the first for some reason. That caused a bit of a problem. Maria I believe this belongs to you.”
I threw the amulet I found onto the ground in front of her. So was shaking now. I believe everyone else knows what happened.
The man sighed again and said, “Well now, what information do you need?” Ah finally, now I can ask all I want.
“First, what is located 100 kilometres to the North-East from here?”
The man immediately answered, “The Kingdom of Davion I believe. The capital is near that location”
So I can just go to the capital then head to wherever the mana detector points to next. I sighed in relief.
“Second, you know a good blacksmith and tailor that could make equipment for free?”
The man suddenly laughed out loud. He said while still laughing, “I have some friends that can do that for you. You can follow me to them.”
I left the Cyclops head on the ground and followed the man to where his “friends” were.
