Minya
We rushed back as fast as we could, making good time. I was much faster with all of my level ups. And I mean MUCH faster than I have ever been before I had dumped all of my free body points into agility to be faster. Being faster was not simply a goal for me, it was a burning passion deep within me. My agility had jumped so high. My stat sheet now looked like this.

I still didn’t know what to do with my spirit points so I just hung onto them. I really wanted to ask that AI a few more questions. There was just so much to learn!
We finally made it to the clearing and were met with something we were totally unprepared for.
A dragon.
It was hovering around Emily and seemed to be talking with her. The dragon let a huge road of laughter at something Emily said. “Hey! Just because I was in college while you were off fighting in a war means nothing!” Emily said, annoyed .
It took me a second to realize what was going on. The dragon was actually Kent! As I looked closer I saw that the dragon was slightly incorporeal and I could see Kent underneath. I looked closer at the dragon.
It was the same dragon that had been casually floating around Kent earlier as he meditated. The dragon was fascinating. It had black scales with gold streaks running down it. it was glowing a deep azure blue. It had no wings but was hovering over the ground effortlessly.
Emily was still chatting happily with Kent but Brock was nowhere to be found. “Hey guys, where is Brock?” I finally asked them.
Emily jolted away from Kent and looked over at me. Kents draconic form rapidly faded away until it was just Kent. As I looked closer though, his skin seemed… healthier and stronger. It must have been that Inner Dragon thing he had mentioned. As his dragon grew stronger, so did he.

“Why were you a dragon!?” Layton suddenly exclaimed.
Kent just smiled, seeming to be at peace with something. “I made an improvement on my inner dragon. I am now close enough that I can briefly take his form. It is not yet much use in battle yet but is a work in progress.”
I was interested in how this process worked. “How do you make your dragon and you stronger?”
He nodded at me. “Whenever I understand how my dragon connects to one of the 12 stats I get a boost of 10 points in that particular stat. For instance I got closer to 2 of the 12 stats today, which are Vitality and Endurance boosting them by 10.”
“To get that boost I had to understand that a dragon's body never gives up and will fight till exhaustion, Endurance. I also had to understand that a dragon will fight till their enemy is dead or they are, Vitality. It is a lot more complicated than that but that is the best way for me to describe it. The reason I was able to get two is because the things I understood about them were similar. I will usually get only one unless they are similarly connected.”
I nodded that was interesting because he would get 120 stat points from this while I would only get one. “That seems more powerful than my trait.” I said, I was kind of jealous.
Kent actually winced at that. “Um, actually we found out it's not.”
I was confused. “What how.”
He sighed. “Just ask Brock when he gets back or just look at what he is doing. You'll understand and be more proud of your stupidly powerful trait.” He gestured in a direction where something interesting was happening.
There were trees that were moving towards us in a clump. They all looked more like one tree than many but with my heightened perception I could tell they were different trees. When they got within a couple hundred yards from us I could see they were slowly going up and down. It wasn’t large but it was noticeable. Finally their trunks were in sight.
It was Brock. He was carrying around a half dozen trees with his arms wrapped around them in a huge bear. It was ridiculous. It didn’t seem like something a human should be able to do. Each of the trees were around 40 ft tall but that didn’t seem to stop him.
With a huge huff of air Brock dropped them onto the ground and they clattered into a pile. He turned and grinned at us. “Hey guys just getting the supplies to build a shelter.”
Now that I was paying more attention I noticed that this was not his first run; there were about a dozen other trees in piles scattered around the clearing.
“How are you carrying that many trees!” Drake was the first to speak up.
“Huh? Oh yeah! We found out that the division of points is not linear but exponentially. So the higher our stats go up the more gain we get from one stat point.” Brock said, seeming proud of being the center of attention.
“Which makes you a freak of strength.” Layton commented dryly.
“Yeah!” Brock said, seeming happy with that fact. “Here you can even see my stat sheet if you want!” He sent us his stat sheet to witness his pride and joy.

I gaped at his stats. “Why the heck are your stats so high!” I exclaimed.
“I get 5 body per level and I get 1 extra body from my giant's body. Along with that I get 3 strength 2 Endurance and 1 Vitality. My body stats have risen astronomically.” He said with not a little pride.
I snorted. “That's an understatement. You have over a 100 in body and only a measly 32 in mind. That's going to come back to bite you later on.”
He waved me off. “Meh, I'll be fine. Come help me set up our camp though.”
We all got to work and built our camp. By the time night started to fall we had made a nice place to call home over the coming weeks or even days. I was being bugged by a question though. With all of my points in agility, just how fast could I go? We settled down and started chatting about our old lives.
This was nice. Like all nice things though it had to end.
A blood curdling scream pierced through the night.
