I let out a puff of air dao. Why?! I mean, I liked that my favorite half-humans were doing so well. But seriously! No one before them had ever grown this fast before. They were almost halfway to E-grade! This had never been done this fast.

Zeered: If they keep going at this pace they will ruin their foundation.

Dazion: Yeah if they grow this fast paced until E-grade then they will be very weak in dao but very strong in everything else.

Grand: I agree, their is just one problem.

Zeered: Which is?

Grand: They don’t want to slow down their growth. They want to save the people of earth by killing all of the bosses early on.

Dazion: Your right that is a problem. There is no way for us to force them to slow down without getting directly involved.

Grand: Should I give them a mission to get 3 dao seeds before killing the next boss?

Zeered: That might work, but you need to make the reward something that they will want a lot or something that will help everyone on earth.

Dazion: That… Might work! We need to put this plan into action before they try to face another boss.

Grand: Who would have thought that they would meet the secret boss at all. But them fighting it this early? How? And why?

Zeered: The restrictions for the secret boss is that it must feel threatened by the inhabitants of the tutorial and they must have killed 20 wraiths and 20 werewolves. Which they just did.

Dazion: That's what you're surprised about? I am astonished that they were able to learn so much from those 6 hours of training time. Kent and Emily have become complete monsters! Kent in combat prowess and Emily in all things healing! She brought Minya back from the brink of death in one spell! Shame she couldn’t reattach her leg though.

Grand: That is true. But we also haven’t seen Drake or Layton fight yet. So we don’t know where their power lies.

Zeered: Okay Grand, you should go give them that quest before they go and take on another boss.

Dazion: Yeah. But seriously guys, when have we ever had to stop the nightmare mode players from getting too powerful too fast? It is very ridiculous if you think about it.

I signed off of the telepathy link and focused my attention on earth. Let’s see how they are doing. I appeared in the air above their camp and looked around to see where everyone was. Emily and Minya were in the house healing her wound. Brock was exercising. Layton was shooting her bow at some targets she had set up. And Kent and Drake were mock battling.

Kent was winning.

Not that that surprised me. Kent was a really strong person in general.

Okay everybody, you have defeated a secret boss who you were never supposed to meet this early on. As recompense for that horrible battle. So sorry Minya. We our offering you a quest, so that you don’t break your bodies by growing in power to fast.

Quest: Daoist: Get 3 dao’s before the week is up. Rewards: 30 Free Stat points/ easier difficulty for all humans in the lower levels.

All of them either shook their heads or said “No we haven’t”

Okay, time for me to get going.

I left and went to check in on the Hard mode players. They were doing a lot better. They had killed the goblin captain and recovered from the wandering revenant messing them up. I was proud of them. It was not everyday that an undead horror appeared in the middle of your camp and tried to kill everyone.They all seemed to be from level 3 to level 14. Nice.

I then checked in on the Easy mode players and almost smacked myself, if I could. Why were the people on earth so competent? They had turned their huge ragtag camp into a thriving city over the span of a couple of days. They seemed to have killed one of the bosses and were doing great. They were anywhere from level 1 to level 16 they were actually doing slightly better than the Hard mode players in terms of levels.

Which was surprising, because the creatures in easy mode gave far less xp than the creatures in hard and nightmare mode. Which meant that they should have far lower levels but they were doing roughly the same, which was just ridiculous.

Just who were these people? They were crazy strong. After some consideration I decided to give Drake a little gift for all of their potential. If all went well, it would even benefit the Easy Mode players.

I breathed out hard. This was so difficult. Managing a city was no joke. Especially whenever those people living in your city had magical powers and could hop over walls easily almost as easily as they could breath. It didn’t help that the walls were only 10 ft tall.

As I stood up from the hard wooden chair that I was sitting in. Me and the 3 other people who had been voted in the mass meeting had had a meeting early and it had really taken a lot not to get mad at them. Suddenly, I heard a sound that sounded like a cash register going off.

Humans in Easy Mode! Rejoice! The humans in Nightmare Mode have slain the Boss: Wandering Revenant! Your difficulty is being lowered once again!

I stared in shock at the words. They had killed another boss?!? We had yet to slay the first boss! Granted, it was because we couldn’t find it, but still. Killing 2 bosses before we could even see one? Ridiculous. Just who were the monsters in Nightmare mode?

I sighed, again? The people in Nightmare mode were simply crazy. I looked up at the screen that appeared in front of me the moment I woke up.

Humans of Earth! Congratulations! The humans residing in Nightmare Mode have slain the Secret Boss: Doom: Fox Demon of the Night! Your difficulty is once again being lowered!

These people were crazy. We had finally found the first boss but we had only managed to kill it after tricking it into a pitfall trap. How were they killing so many bosses at this rate!

Then I thought about it. No, it couldn’t be… Were they trying to beat bosses as fast as possible to make our lives easier? That was… Actually, that's really nice of them. They weren’t just looking out for themselves but for all of humanity.

I grumbled. “If only the people in easy mode were that considerate.” I turned to let yet another person trying to explain that they should be the ones in charge, because of their “Amazing powers” inside. What a joke they probably didn’t even hold a candle to even the hard mode players.

A dark haired man walked through the makeshift door, more of an animal pelt you could move aside. “Hello, I am Drake. I am not actually here but the system has granted me 6 hours to talk to you people. I hope you will listen well, for I am in the Nightmare Mode…”

My eyes widened. This was going to be interesting.
