“Everyone huddle up! We need to have a serious discussion for once about all of these major decisions that are popping up!” Minya called out after she had woken up and been informed of the situation.
Drake nodded. “We should all go talk around the campfire. Follow me.” He waved us after him and walked over to the campfire, sitting down. I sighed and followed him wondering what we were going to decide on. Both of the options were really good.
When we were all settled around the campfire and it had been lit Drake spoke up. “Okay, so as you all know we have two decisions. One, we can have a free night off with no monsters. Or we can be tutored about our training regimen for 6 hours.”
Brock spoke up next. “I think both of them have good reasoning to use but the training is the superior option because of the long term effects.”
Minya shook her head. “I don’t agree while I think the training would be nice and a full night of sleep would be far better. With it we could rest up and take on another boss tomorrow.” She pointed out. “And the faster we deal with the bosses the better.”
Drake nodded in agreement. “The night would be very beneficial. Even more so now that we have beds.” Drake commented.
I jumped in. “But on the other hand, if we get personalized training we will all boom in power and be more ready power wise to take on another boss. Also we need to talk about our team name. I’m thinking something like the Legend of Earth.” I said, giving my 2 cents.
Kent ran a hand through his hair. “I don’t know, that seems a little over the top. The name I mean. I agree with what you said about the training and I only have one thing to put in. Right now we are just haphazardly training with none to very little benefit.”
“With personalized training, we will know what to do in the future whenever we are more powerful and need to train.” Kent reminded us all to think more about the long term effects of what our choices would have.
Drake spoke up again. “It is really a matter of when we want to benefit. If we want to benefit right now, we should definitely choose the first option. If we want mid- to long term effects the latter option is by far the best.”
Emily added, “If we choose training we will also have that period monster free. Maybe I don’t know for certain. If we give our training our all we will rise faster which will be far more beneficial.”
Minya nodded, joining back into the conversation after deliberating again. “I think we should vote and the majority vote wins. If it's a tie we will just have to figure something out.” She offered it to us all.
After some more deliberation, we decided that Drake would count our votes so that we wouldn’t succumb to peer pressure.
“Alright, put your heads down and raise your hand if you want to go with the first option. Having a night with no monsters.” Drake told us. I put my head down and waited.
“Okay, if you want the second option, raise your hand. The second option is having 4 hours of personal training.” Drake reminded us. I raised my hand and waited. “Okay hands down, and you guys can look up.”
Drake smiled. “Well, we have a winner. There were 2 votes for having a night off and 4 that wanted to have personalized training.”
I nodded, this was a serious matter. One third of our group had voted the opposite, so we needed to be civil about it.
“Okay now onto the next subject. Our team name. How about we all offer up one name each and will vote on which ones will be chosen. It will be an open vote, so peer pressure is technically possible. I’m not too worried about that though because we are almost all full grown adults.

I nodded my head. We were all in our late teens to early 20’s. I was 20, Kent was 17, Brock was 18, Minya was also 18, Emily was 16, and Drake was 24.
Minya mused for a second before finally speaking. “I propose that our team name be the evolutionaries. After all our evolutionary abilities.”
Brock shook his head. “But the entirety of earth has that power as far as we are aware.” He put in. “I propose that we be the boss slayers. We have already ended 2 bosses in 2 days, you can’t tell me that's not a crazy achievement.
I thought about it. It was an okay name but a little cliche. “We don’t only fight bosses. We do far more things as well. I don’t really think that name suits us. If I were to come up with a name it would be… hmm… The Masters of the Apocalypse. It just suits who we are. We are not only surviving in the apocalypse but we are thriving.” I said choosing the name that made the most sense to me.
Drake smiled. “That's a cool name. A little over the top but I like it. I propose that our team name be the Defenders of Earth. Because each time we kill a boss we make the humans of earth’s lives just a little bit easier.”
Kent shrugged thinking. “It's a okay name I guess. But it just doesn’t fit us. We need something to represent us all. Who are we all together. I personally can’t think of anything besides that it needs to be about us as a team.” He said struggling to find the right words to explain his line of thinking.
Minya nodded. “I get where you're coming from. If we are going by that logic Laytons idea is probably the current best. But I think we can do better.
Brock agreed. “Yeah I think we need a name that is about all of us together, as a group not just one individual..”
Drake smiled and stood up. “Now that we know what we need and we are all thinking along the right track lets finish our discussion and just give ourselves time to think about possible ideas for a while.” He told us.
Then he looked up. “System. We have chosen our answer to your question. We want personalized training for 6 hours.” He told the sky.
Answer has been processed. Thank you for your quick decision. It makes my life easier. You will all be given one token that you may break to start the process and get your personal trainer for the allotted time. During that time you will be frozen so you should wait until you have more than 6 hours before night.
I looked up into the sky as 6 tokens fell from the sky. They were made of wood and each one had an imprint of one of our faces. I grabbed the one that represented me and slid it into my pocket. It was time for the night.
As night fell across our camp we heard the howls of monsters again. We rushed to the walls and fended off against the foul creature. It was just werewolves and wraiths again so the night was mostly uneventful, until Brock fell off of the wall and was attacked by wraiths. He survived, thankfully, but Emily had to heal him for about a ½ hour.
With the night reaching its end, I checked my status.

I smiled happily. My stats had grown so much in such a short time. My Charisma was skyrocketing and my other stats weren’t too bad either.
I put my free mind points into perception to boost it a little bit so that it wasn’t lagging behind, and then I put my free body points into agility and my free spirit points into soul. Boosting all of my higher stats.
I looked at my stat sheet again and was pleased with the growth. To think that just two days ago my charisma was only 13 or 14. Now it is over 100.
I turned to my team. “So how are we using our tokens?” I asked.
Drake responded quickly. “We decided that we will go in groups of 3. So that one team will guard while the other gets trained. Me, Minya and Emily will go first. Then after almost 6 hours you can start even if we aren’t awake. Actually start at about the 5 hour mark so that we all can fight at the beginning of the night.” He told me, Brock and Kent.
We all nodded our understanding and they sat down, breaking their tokens. As the tokens broke they all froze unmoving. Throughout the day we fended off a few goblin attacks, but they were mostly lvl 2’s though lvl 4’s so they weren’t much of a problem.
After almost 5 hours had passed we all eagerly sat down and pulled out our tokens. Taking a deep breath we broke them, and felt our bodies get swept away.
