I wake up on a box of dirt in a new room with open windows that lead outside. I hop out, stumble, try to regain my dignity, then take a bath.
One doesn't simply hide legs like these. I saunter around the room, showing off my new mobility while trying to understand my new mobility.
I can run. I can scurry. But can I climb? I have to spread my legs and make sure my body connects with whatever surface I'm on now if I don't want to fall. Apparently my old legs had better grip.

There's fine hairs along these legs, longer bristling hairs at the joints, but the ends are just plain, sharp spikes. I can hold my body away from the wall if I flatten my legs to it, allowing the hairs to grip... But these hairs aren't as barbed as the others and anything brushing against them tickles.

I cling to the wall while trying to reassess myself. My legs are predominantly a brownish yellow, black at the joints and very tips. My body is now a kaleidoscope of color.

I wriggle top up, top down, push back my butt, curl up, butt to the wall, then top up to repeat the whole process all over again. I can grip with my mouth if I have to but the fine hairs all over my body seem to do the trick well enough. My legs are great for running around but my hairy body is the only thing keeping this party in motion.

Something's shoved in my face and I bite into it in defiance. Oh. Finally! I grip with my forelegs, the rest curled up as I rest.
