Chapter 82: I hereby grant you a look into the abyss

"Did you have enough yet?" I ask Corolla right after catching his latest punch toward my face. Corolla, of course, does not seem to have any remorse regarding the beatdown he just gave me, nor does Ana, but she finally seems to be catching onto my plan.

"So you caught my arm, so what? You're still losing this match!" Corolla yells at me, this time, choosing to come at me from below, kicking me in between my legs, causing a severe amount of pain to me, so severe I almost forget to keep reproducing my dark copies over Corolla's copies.

"Master Julius said I could kill you, so I will, but before that, I will enjoy torturing you, ya little runt!" Corolla doesn't have a single good bone on his body, which only fuels me to keep my secret operation going while pretending as if I've already surrendered. Still, Ana soon sees right through my trap.

"Something is not right, Corolla," Ana says while still not completely understanding my grand plan for victory until I finally start fighting Corolla again, who reduced his guard a little. "I haven't surrendered yet!" Not wanting Ana to warn Corolla about my takeover, I distract him with a random barrage of attacks, to which Corolla responds with his own until Ana finally figures it out.

"FALL BACK NOW YOU DUMB COROLLA!" Ana screams at Corolla while he continues to come after me, still not noticing that more than half of his fake copies are already under my direct control, perfectly falling right into my trap as I set myself up to attack him from behind.

"What do you mean to fall back?" Corolla briefly turns around and finally sees how the Corollas under my control are already taking over the rest of his copies with my overwhelming, corrosive, dark energy. Dark power is like acid; it may take a while, but everything eventually succumbs to it in the end!

"Don't forget about your present, buddy!" Since Corolla was now too focused, looking toward the chaos of his copies against mine, I figured now was the time to stab him from behind with my dark sword, which quickly and effectively pierces him from back to front with a single swing.

"AHHHHGG! HOW DID YOU!?" Corolla screams in pain while Ana panics, seeing her friend collapse right after I take my sword from his back as he appears to fall dead to the floor. "You're going to tell me everything I want to know and more, Ana Lu!" Ana angrily but cautiously tries to water against me with projectile attacks, making sure to keep her distance.

"You're crazy if you think I will ever say anything about Master Julius or others like me!" Ana Lu says while I start getting impatient going against her since she simply keeps jumping back toward the void whenever I try to approach her.

"Your master boasts about having grandioso power levels, but his servants are nothing more than pathetic punching bags!" I didn't mean most of what I said on these occasions. I simply wanted to make them angry or say something to rile them up, as it always gives me the upper hand when my enemy is enraged. People like that make stupid mistakes.

"You know nothing about my master! He is greater than anyone in this world! Nobody's power compares to masters!" At Ana Lu's words, I proceed to slowly inch toward her while unleashing the entirety of my dark aura on her at once.

"Nobody can compare? I doubt anyone can compare to me or the true nature of this power! I've been rather nice, but this power craves and desires death payments, you know!? It kind of slowly drives me crazy." All of this was true; while I've been able to hold it together so far, the truth was that ever since that time, I killed and injured people. I've known this.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

I don't feel guilt or remorse whenever I end a human life. So far, the only things keeping me in check have been my morals and desire to protect the people who treat me with respect and dignity. Aside from that, I don't feel a real connection with the people I kill. I feel nothing when I kill but intense pain when someone I care about dies. I guess you could call it a god complex.

"What the!? Wait wait! You don't have to kill me! I am just following orders!" Ana pleads with me as I continue to stroll toward her. I notice Corolla's presence nearby, lurking in the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to strike me. "You think I haven't seen you? I know you're hiding Corolla."

"Tsk! You damn brat! How dare you! Ana! Do you have any HP potions left? This bitch left me on less than 5 thousand HP" Ana soon tosses some sort of bottle toward Corolla, which I still allow while placing all my bets on my current corrosion as the effect dramatically increases the more dark power my enemies come in contact with.

"What do we do now? She's already seen our special combined technique of clone magic, and I'm running very low; I can't even keep this domain expansion running anymore," Ana says to Corolla as the surrounding area soon turns back to the normal world. "She can't have much strength left either! I say we charge her! TOGETHER!"

How stupid of them not to have realized it yet. Whenever a fight came down to stamina, the compressed nature of my power would always grant me the win. That has always been and will always be the case, as I've barely lost over 40% of my total energy. I still had plenty left while they looked exhausted already.

"Enough talk! Have a taste of the fallen! FALLEN DOWN!" With the stamina race currently tipped to my side, I go for the risky but effective option of burning through all of my Holy MP with a single strike of Fallen Down, sending down some of the most powerful rays of light I've ever summoned.

Each ray of light is so intense and moves at a speed I can barely see myself as I notice how the barrage of attacks quickly starts to overwhelm the duo, who dodges a couple of attacks, forcing them to land against the ground now and then creating explosions so powerful the ground shakes whenever that happens and that was only my holy energy I still plenty dark on the tank.

"DAH!" Ana finally gets pierced by one of my attacks after dodging several, which is the start of the end for her as that little mistake soon costs her life since she slows down enough for the remaining hundreds of light beams to pierce her at the same time leaving her twitching on the floor like a porcupine.

"BASTARD! HOW DARE YOU!?" Corolla quickly tries to come after me, which I take advantage of by letting him get close to my range of controlled dark energy, at least close enough to do the same to him, but with dark needles created from my flesh.

"How dare I? You're the ones coming to an innocent little girl like me here!" I say to Corolla while looking right at him, his eyes filled with pure terror as I let him see through the other side of the void, that void filled with rage, greed, and a desire for total death and destruction and nothing else.

"AHH! AHHH! MASTER JULIUS! SAVE ME!" Corolla pleads to the skies while I continue to stare at him with the eyes of the Abyss. I've seen it before, but since it poses no threat to me, it hasn't driven me insane. However, to Corolla, just this simple stare into the Abyss is enough to drive him insane with one glance into it.

"AHHHG! AHHHHGGG! GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD I BEG YOU! GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD!" Corolla rolls on the floor for a couple of minutes as I start healing my wounds, slowly deactivating all the power-hungry techniques I had active, finally letting me take a deep breath in peace.

The next thing I see when I turn around is nothing other than a teleportation portal for Corolla. As he crawls into it, I feel the urge to follow him, but I refrain from it since Julius would probably be on the other side, and although I was powerful enough to kill his minions, I would still get beaten to a pulp against him.

My only question was why he didn't just come after me directly like before. Why had he stopped? Did that gray guy warn him? Who was that guy anyway?
