"Have you gone mad, Lord Auri? How come you think it's okay to have a peasant farm girl walking around the walls of this castle-like she belongs here!" The old man's accusation is sharp, his tone carrying enough authority to send shivers down the spine of anyone present.
"I would hate to remind you that I'm still the official Lord of House Wesson, Lord Uxu. Trust my judgment, for I sense a high level of power coming from that child." Lord Auri's response is firm, his eyes locked with the old man's, who returns the gaze with the intensity of a murderer.
And here I was, just sitting quietly at the door of Lord Auri, just peeking my head a little bit to catch the action for you guys risking my life so you'd know about this. Am I a fabulous protagonist, or what? I'm cutting the cheesy lines for now, though I doubt it's a good time for my corny jokes.
"You're a disgrace to House Wesson! How dare you talk to me like that? Have you forgotten who your family is in deep debt to!?" The old man speaks in a very aggressive tone, but even so, Auri doesn't even flinch at the old guy's threat.
"And for your sponsors, we are greatly thankful it was an aid we greatly needed to fund the war, yet even you are in no position to boss me around nonetheless in my own house!" With these last words, the old guy finally sat down back in his chair, looking like he had just seen a ghost or something because he was pale as one could be. Well done, Mr Gold!
"Tsk! At least let me see why you're so inclined to have this peasant here! Let me see for myself why you're so determined to keep them! I have with me a high-level appraisal stone. Please let me see why you're so stubborn this time around." Lord Uxu soon reaches into his left side pockets to pull out a beautiful appraisal stone and places it on Auri's desk.
"Fine! Yoimiya, you can come in now! Stop pretending like I didn't just see you." Oh shit, he caught me, and here I thought I had done an excellent job hiding behind the doors like a champ. {Sigh} Okay, well, he caught me, so I better get walking toward them, or I will not see the light of day tomorrow.
I soon resigned any shame I had left and just obeyed Lord Auri's orders, walking forward toward them both with my head down because I didn't want to look either of them in the eyes, not when they were both angry. "Lord Uxu, this is Lady Yoimiya, and as you can see, they're still quite young."
"I don't see anything extraordinary about her. From the outside, she just looks like any peasant girl you'd find anywhere else!" The old guy doesn't pull any punches even as I'm standing right before him. How rude! At least talk bad things about me behind my back, not right to my face! >:C I have feelings, you know!
"Yes, indeed, and that makes them the perfect weapon. Yoimiya, would you mind placing your hand on the stone to show Lord Uxu why he should watch his mouth?" Lord Auri doesn't pull any punches either, putting the old man in his place as I quickly obey their orders once more.

"That can't be! Even for a witch, these stats are out of this world! She is already stronger than all of my sons! How!?" Lord Uxu soon looked at me, scared to death of me, but I didn't pay him much attention as the Appraisal still wasn't done.
"That's not all. Keep watching the Appraisal appear before your eyes, Lord Uxu. Yoimiya still has some hidden secrets in the next lines of Appraisal."
"Madness! You've gone mad!"

"She is also a darkness user? The last time there was one on the side of humanity in this world was centuries ago. How can this child control it?! I thought darkness users always went berserk on the world." The old man spouts as he keeps looking back and forth from the appraisal results to me.
"I told you Lady Yoimiya was an extraordinary girl, didn't I?" Lord Auri soon reaches over to me, placing his hand over my head so he can pet me like I'm some sort of dog, but I strangely like it, so I don't complain at all.
"With her at your side, House Wesson has become unbeatable. Please forgive my previous arrogance, my lady! I didn't know!" With these words, Lord Uxu gets down to one knee and pays me respect, as if I'm some sort of high shot or something. Come on, cut it out already! I'm not as special as you think, am I?
"There's no need for you to do that. Please don't bow down to me; I don't like it." Lord Uxu looks at me, surprised. I'm not mad at him or even slightly annoyed, and that would be because he wouldn't be the first one to say such things about me, so yeah.
"Isn't she great? Humble as one can be, too. Well, now that you've seen why Lady Yoimiya is so great, would you care to keep it a secret for now?" Lord Uxu looks at Auri, confused for a second, but then something seems to click within him because he just nods back.
I don't understand magic well enough yet, let alone world politics, so why would I even try to understand them right? As long as I'm well-behaved and I go to my classes every day, the Lord or this House will keep me around because I'm some sort of "weapon."
