Chapter 70: Worm Killer

Chapter 70: Worm Killer

My odds were not looking great, and my first assault against the creature didn't go so well, but my sword did manage to pierce the fish's skin without trouble, even if just a couple of inches deep. I was starting to feel overwhelmed, but the thought of winning resurged when I read the creature's stats.

Information: Krogen predators are the worm forms of some types of water dragons; as one of its most vulnerable phases, these creatures tend to have a high level of HP to be able to survive in the wild; their flesh is said to be worthy of praise as it's used as a luxury meat in special occasions.

My strike alone damaged the creature twenty-five thousand damage points while invalidating its armor. Man, the power of darkness is truly something else; I feel like it's more powerful than the numbers my appraisal displays. Just like when I stopped the Hydra's attack, this power always over-delivers even with such low numbers as it's telling me, 'Is that it?'

So the power of my dark blade and my spatial hooks is equal to an attack from a seventy-five thousand MP attacker? Damn. I only have about seven thousand MP, so does that mean I am actually ten times stronger than I look at all times? So my power cap has not been just fifteen thousand but around one hundred and fifty thousand?

Let's keep it up, then fishy! I say as I again divert to the skies while keeping my dark sword in hand without the shield since I had to save as much of my MP as possible. When I moved higher up, the fish liked to jump at me, so it always gave me the perfect opportunity to strike.

As expected of the fish, it starts circling almost immediately as it prepares to leap forward toward me again. However, I would be ready with another combo for them this time as I stood firm on my spatial platform, observing the fish as it jumped up to try and eat me.

My nerves were tense, and my body, shaken up, urged me to move as the fish got extremely close to me. Still, in mid-air, I simply kept on looking at it until the timer on my spatial platform ended just in time for me to surprise it with a spatial hook right in its spine.

"AAAAAAHHHH!" The spatial hook pulls me violently toward the fish's back spine, and I take full advantage of the force from it to impale my dark sword across the fish's entire back through the whole swinging motion across it's back like a crazy, suicidal person as I also take damage from the fish's rough skin.

"GGUUUUUUUUUHHH!!!" The Krogen screams in pain after my strike, violently falling from the sky toward the ocean in a gigantic splat that throws me into the water and drags me along with the fish as I still wanted to inflict as much damage as possible to it by repeatedly stabbing it's back over and over.

The Krogen tries its best to shake me off its back as it swims through the ocean water with its magical field turned on, which does start to damage me along with the lack of breath for a couple of seconds once the Krogen goes entirely underwater; forcing me to the surface just moments later.

Once I am up in the sky again, I start checking out the damage to my body and do notice significant damage to my left arm. To my luck, I still had Holy MP, so healing the minor wounds was no big deal. Once the healing starts, the Krogen chooses to use another strategy against me as my last attack must have hurt, with the creature losing one hundred thousand HP from that attack alone.

I had to be assertive and establish my dominance over the thing, so I didn't think I went overboard, but the creature did after as it began shooting me from underwater like a coward. Yet because I was confident of my abilities, I did not panic as I saw the magical attacks coming my way but once chose to evade them.

It didn't take long for the Krogen to get angry at my ingenious dodging, finally choosing to try and shoot me from up close from ocean surface level, which looked like a mistake to me as if I managed to use a full counter near its face while it tried to use one of those attacks.

"ROOOOOO!" The Krogen stupidly tries to shoot me directly over and over until I finally gather the courage to jump right before the creature's mouth as one of its attacks loads into existence right as I cast one of my broken abilities mid-air, which activates just in time as the fish launches its attack.

{BOOOOOM!}

My right arm blows up in the process, but the creature's head receives massive damage as well, and its HP begins to drop incredibly fast right after my Full Counter throws back its own attack with more than double its strenght as I put all of my strenght into it blowing half of the creature's head off.

As we both fall back into the water, I notice how the Krogen doesn't seem to move at all, letting me know that no matter how much HP something might have, if you don't have a head, you're as good as dead, so better reconstruct it before it's too late big boy.

I fall into the water with a smile on my face as the Krogen starts to slowly sink into the water as a sign of its total defeat, all while my body gets all covered in bloody ocean water since the creature's brains got blown all over it along with a ton of blood which was kind of disgusting.
