Anyway, I do not really care about my perception. As long as I get to live a comfy life, I don't care about my weapon label. Yeah, you heard that right; I don't care! You would probably do the same if it meant you could keep a luxurious, free lifestyle as well. Don't look at me like that!
It's not like I'm sort of an easy pushover, okay? I swear I usually stand my ground more often than not, okay? Why are you still looking at me like that? Stop it! It's not fair that you get to judge me all the time without me being able to have a fair trial!
What was I on about again? I completely lost my train of thought just now, didn't I? Oh well, that's me for you! I guess the only reason I should be a little concerned about myself being used as a weapon is the fact that I still have no good grasp on what the heck I'm doing.
It is no joke that since that time I naturally summoned that conjuring, I haven't been able to manipulate magic at all, at least not in the traditional fashion. It really is like the Witch Queen said back then: I'm not going to be able to learn the usual way since all the conjurings for regular magic just don't work for me! Here! Let me show you what I'm talking about! "
"I'm the source of all power. Bend the laws of nature and cast a wave of water to drown my opponent! AH!" I try to conjure a lower-level spell in the middle of the hallway as I walk back to the library, but of course, I don't even summon a single drop of water.
See what I mean now? How am I meant to be this super OP character everyone fights over without even having the ability to conjure lower-class spells?! Call me crazy or whatever because I just don't get it.
"Hey, there you are, Yoi. I've been looking for you!" Says the now somehow taller and prettier witch that I befriended a while back. You know exactly who I'm talking about, of course! Veronica, or Vera for short, for some reason, she still doesn't want me to call her Vero.
"You need to stop growing! You make me look bad, Vera!" I respond nonchalantly because it requires such a response. I mean, she's growing at such a fast pace I now look like a little finch compared to her! Stop growing taller, you cheater! Also, stop using heels as if you need them!
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"Aww! My favorite dwarf is mad at me because her body is not growing fast enough now?" Vera responds with one of the hardest roasts I've ever been subjected to, and it hits me right where it hurts the most! My ego! They're right about the whole 'Words can hurt more than weapons' thing or whatever.
"No! I'm just growing at a normal rate! You, on the other hand, are just growing way too fast!" Vera soon deploys her now classic move of placing her index finger on my mouth as she makes the typical sound of 'sh.' What the heck!? Why is she shushing me?
"It's normal for me to grow so fast after years of imprisonment. I'm much older than you think. So, it was normal for my growth to start so fast. After all, you can't really grow when you barely eat." So she basically stopped aging because she was down there for that long? Man, I'm such a lucky bastard!
"Still! Can't you just slow down a little bit? You're already towering over me! It's not fair!" Vera takes her finger away and just giggles at my suggestion, which I know is kind of stupid, but hey, there's no reason to make fun of it, okay?
"It's not something I can control, Yoi! It's not like holding up a fart or something like that; I can't just tell my body! Hey! Stop growing so fast!" Wait a minute, now she's mocking me, isn't she!? Vera doesn't talk like that at all. That is clearly a mockery of me! UUGH! I'll strangle you!
Without much thought, I soon try to throw my hands against Vera, who swiftly puts me in my place single-handedly. Vera evaded my first move by quickly moving to the left, and then she practically teleported behind me so she could place a headlock on me in a second.
"I yield, I yield! UGHH!" Vera laughs as she puts more pressure over my neck, enjoying every second of it, which only angers me more because there's nothing I can do.
"You're technically much stronger than me, but you're so clumsy I can still beat you without trying." The assailant proclaims while they slowly let go of me, causing me to take in a deep breath of fresh air.
"I've tried everything you taught me, but it doesn't work! Maybe you're just a horrible teacher!" I think I might have overdone my comment, but it was in the heat of the moment! I mean, it's not like I've been paying close attention to her lessons either, but!
"You saved me back then with a spell I had never heard. I've got an idea of how I could make you learn magic now! Yeah! I'm sure you'll be thrilled!" Vera says as she leaves the area with a brainstorming face, which doesn't really give me that much confidence.
Wait, did she say make me learn magic? Didn't she mean to teach? I've suddenly got goosebumps at the phrase she used just now! Vera wouldn't try anything drastic, right? I mean, she wouldn't want me to be in danger, would she? WOULD SHE?!
Don't miss the next chapter of I'm a Witch, so what?
"You're crazy!" Veronica's brilliant plan to "make" me learn magic! Only on Royal Road!
