Yet something wasn't quite right. Even with my new resolution and determination, something still felt off until I remembered what happened when I fought Auri. While I killed thousands of creatures with that powerful attack, I didn't earn a single level; instead, I lost a couple, which was not good until I saw a small, lettered text at the bottom of my screen.
[Experience required not available, now subtracting EXP from vital energy]
A sudden, sharp, unbearable pain soon invades my body as I finish reading the text. Sparks and energy sounds also soon emerged from within me, forcing the people around me to worry about what was happening to me, which was most likely the result of abuse of power without Experience.
The dark sparks coming from my body are so intense that when they strike the earth, they leave trace marks all over the floor, and even so, I can't even notice that clearly as the pain intensifies even more. "AHHHHHHHHH!!"
It doesn't take long before I get to my knees, trying to suppress the sparks. I simply fight off the pain with as much willpower as I can muster, but it barely does anything to stop it from making me scream in agony as I feel like a thousand swords stab me all at once from every direction.
My muscles also start moving erratically, contracting and relaxing wildly without control, simply causing me even more pain. My body shakes with tremendous amounts of strenght as I feel how my insides tear apart thanks to my careless use of opposite magics like it wouldn't affect me.
The breath from my lungs leaves at the same time. I even try to scream to relieve my pain, only furthering my decline down to the floor. I end up face first, simply twitching around in agony I cannot avoid; how stupid of me to think nothing would happen this time.

As I twitch around on the floor in deep agony, my muscles soon all start giving up, exploding in place, covering my body in even more blood, but this time, it's my blood that zeps from the wounds instead of the enemies. Finally, the people soon reacted the way I expected them for once, simply running my way to try and help me up as most began to run as I commanded.
"Lady, Yoimiya! Don't worry, we'll carry you to safety! You've done enough for us!" A tall, handsome man tells me as they pick me up in their arms, still suffering an insufferable amount of pain that doesn't even let me talk back to the man to thank him. All I can do is cry out in pain as he starts running with me in their arms.
How pretentious of me to think I could do such feats of strenght without consequences; I mean, by the looks of it, even full counter has repercussions if used one too many times. Why would I think such a powerful skill would be free? Even if it's a holy one?
The sharp pain soon dulls out, but it is all soon replaced by the normal pain from my now destroyed muscles, which have made decently big holes in my arms and legs, meaning I'm rapidly bleeding tons of blood when I can't afford to lose more blood than usual already, this wasn't good.
"Heal me, if you can, please. I'm bleeding out too much." I manage to say that to the man who carries me, who understands my plead for emergency services but also denies them to me, saying a simple thins back.
"I'm sorry, Lady, Yoimiya, I don't know any healing spells; please stay with me! I will run faster than I have ever done! Don't faint on me!" The man is not lying, but that only serves to demoralize me as I start losing consciousness thanks to the bleeding coming from my wounds.
My eyes slowly begin to close as I feel the man increase their running speed, desperately trying to get me some help. "Hey! Do you know heal magic?" "No, sorry," I hear the man carrying me ask multiple people the same question as they run as fast as they can through the crowd.
My eyes are fully closed at this point, as I cannot even keep them open with the bit of strenght I have left. My body soon relaxes completely, probably making the man seem like a crazy person running with a corpse in their hands as I lose all mobility.
"Please stay with me! Don't faint yet!" The man desperately tried to keep me awake by tapping my cheeks occasionally, keeping me awake for the time being, using their simple yet effective tactic of annoying me so I didn't pass out on them.
"Stop it, it's annoying," I respond to the man, who sounds relieved once I talk back to them, but I still can't open my eyes fully just enough to let him know I was still somewhat conscious while another part of me began to see the light before the tunnel.
