John vibrated his hand and used Qi from his forbidden dao pillar to align the particles in the air into a formation.
He pointed his finger at the group of people and formed a new shield that was quite large.
This would of been an impossible feat to pull off had he not had a soul field. But now that he did, in combination with his powerful consciousness. His capability had increased exponentially.
The creatures that had been eating at each other. The military eventually couldn't handle the progressive increase in difficulty.
Now the creatures that had survived for this week were on an entirely different level.
John didn't plan to be fair.
He had used all of the monster cores and flesh on his tier 7 formation.
Now it was time to restock!
He got into a fight with a fire elemental. It burnt his clothes to the point where he was almost naked. John was someone capable enough to be able to mess with the fabric of reality with his formation skills.
He waved his hands and formed magic circles in the air.
In an instant he was wearing white daoist robes.
The elemental was confused.
But it soon found itself surrounded in a sphere of water. Steam gushed off it as it became a simple core.
John picked up the core and missed deeply his soulverse.
"Where am I suppose to keep these?"
He could make a spatial ring. But he didn't have access to a solid enough material. If he used his formation skills to make an anchor in space. He would have to go to that specific anchor to retrieve items.
His backpack had been ruined already. He had nowhere to store his things...
"Perhaps it is possible to store it within my concept?"
John closed his eyes as a monster tried to slash him. He used his spiritual sense to easily dodge on instinct as he focused on that weird feeling of his concept.
Time then stopped! He felt a hand grab at his awareness.
He found himself in a space that was black. There was a single blue star. It reminded him of his signature for his forbidden dao pillar. Perhaps it was influenced by his subconscious.
He spoke, not in words. But in information itself.
"What is this?"
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
He was a phantom body. Completely illusory.
He touched the blue star and felt an invasion in his mind. It wasn't malicious. Its intentions seemed innocent.
He saw the memories of this 'thing'.
It told him it's name. It stated it proudly.
John was confused.
"You are Emflowcreagen?"
The blue star didn't reply.
He then saw the birth of this 'star'. It was born the moment he ignited the abyss!
The star communicated directly into his mind.
"I am Beyond. I am Myriad. I am Overflow. I am Create. I am Generator!"
"You are my creator!"
John spoke to it:
"Interesting. What exactly is this space?"
"Calamity Realm."
"What happened to my body?"
He felt confusion from the star.
"Can I return?"
He then felt sadness.
John waved his illusory hands and felt something he had never felt before.
There was no formation or rules in this space.
"How interesting."
"Before coming here. It seemed as if time had stopped. Is this the authority of an original incarnation?"
John felt disappointed.
Was he really 'EMFLOWCREAGEN'. Or was it something separate from him?
But upon seeing his thoughts. The star told him.
"Fusion?"
The star became even brighter.
John's illusory body was sucked into the star
John saw the process of the abyss collapsing.
He also saw the origin of portals opening up in other worlds.
"I am the origin of calamity?"
John then felt like he had full authority of this realm. The key wasn't his soul or his consciousness. It was something deeper then that.
His soul hadn't followed him to the calamity realm. It was something else entirely. It was his will!
It was just like when he created the Infinite Maze in his universe. Except he had taken a page out of the book of the chaos and dream realm.
This calamity realm was shared across multiple realities.
It was on an entirely different level then his Infinite Maze.
It was born from the original concept he had made. Had it been anyone else fused with this concept. They would of instead been assimilated.
Creating a concept itself was something incredibly hard. It was a miracle that John had been able to pull it off.
It seemed this space was completely disconnected from space and time. It was like his own personal realm.
Once the fusion was complete. The blue star had vanished. John's body was no longer illusory. He then saw thousands of stars off in the distance.
He held out his hand and tried to form a phantom soul. But it didn't work.
"I need to reconnect with the private consciousness. how do I reach out to it?"
Emflowcreagen didn't respond.
The concept had been assimilated by John! It had did so using its own free will.
Now John truly was the origin of calamity.
He was the original incarnation Emflowcreagen.
He also had a destiny! His existence broke the rules entirely.
Not to mention. He existed outside of the place that shouldn't be named.
He focused on the stars off in the distance and felt a world getting invaded by mythical creatures. He could control the portals! He could also influence the creatures.
He stopped the invasion of a world and the star vanished from his sky.
He felt a backlash from this. It was extremely painful.
Although he was given full authority. He was currently too weak to handle the full power of his realm. It was like a baby trying to eat a steak.
He needed to 'grow up'.
"There seems to be a variety of functions..."
John held out his hand and found infinite versions of himself in a matrix.
"This should be alternate versions of myself?"
He could see his life from these other versions of himself. He then found something weird. These other versions of himself had a normal destiny.
That's right! These were versions of himself that had died a long time ago. They had been scientist studying the mysteries of the world. But they weren't lucky to have gained the ability to mess with soul.
John couldn't find a single version of himself among the infinite that had an eternal destiny.
"It would seem I was quite lucky!"
"But what is the point of being able to see all of these dead versions of myself?"
John couldn't figure out their purpose.
Since time didn't matter here. John spent centuries sifting through the infinite.
He eventually found himself!
