Hearing them say, Eva, it hit me; this had to be an inside job. I hadn’t even been together with Eva for two weeks, and already this was the second fight I had over us being together. This was someone who knew me on a personal level, and the only person who kept popping up in my mind was Brandon.
“Alright, Boss, we’ll wait for the rest of the team to join us; they shouldn't be too far behind,” said Faruh.
I couldn’t give them that time. If I did and all four of them came at me simultaneously, it would get tricky for me quickly.
“You guys don’t seem like a third-rate party to me, so why go after such an unremarkable target as myself,” I asked Kamil, trying to buy time.
He looked at me with a wry grin.
In his right hand, he held a glaive weapon, which he had just used on me a few moments ago.
It resembled a sickle, but the blade wasn’t as long. The handle morphed into a brace-like attachment that blended into Kamil's right hand. At the top of this cleave weapon, a spear-like extension ended in what looked like a gun barrel. It seemed very technological, with blinking and tron lights running all over it.
“It was the pay to tell the truth; someone offered quite a substantial sum for your head, and we just couldn’t pass it up,” he said.
“We first thought everything we were briefed about you was fake. There was no way a 15-year-old kid could have done any of those things, but now, watching you in action, I’m pumped,” he said, closing his left hand into a fist and cracking his knuckles simultaneously.
“Just the idea of getting some, if not all, of your skills after we immobilize you gets me excited. Just thinking of how you took my plasma beam and survived almost unscathed tells me you must have some badass armor skill on you. That skill will be worth way more than any money they are paying us,” he said, grinning from ear to ear.
After a short minute, two figures appeared just outside the park entrance. They ran in long strides, almost making them look like they were jumping quickly toward us.
“They’re here,” said Faruh, stretching his arms forward while looking somewhat relaxed.
“Shit, time is up; I need to move quickly,” I said as I looked at my right arm. The red spot was gone.
In an instant, I took off gliding toward Faruh, trying to catch him, if only for a second or two off guard. That would give me the opening I need.
Kamil quickly noticed the movement and lifted his weapon to fire.
“Watch out, Faruh, evasive maneuver delta 3,” said Kamil as he prepared to fire.
I also noticed this, so I quickly activated my DSS armor to the extreme. Instantly, my whole body was covered in a golden hue, and a diamond-like etching appeared on my upper body.
“I need to use my GB attribute to the extreme as well,” I thought.
Instantly, I felt a rush of energy course through my whole body. It was like nothing I had experienced before. All my attributes increased 15fold in an instant, and my speed and power were unmatched.
Before I knew it, I was standing in front of Faruh.
I saw his eyes grow in surprise as if saying, “Fuck, How can you be so fast,”
But before he could do anything, I extended my right hand towards him, and in mere seconds, I had five wind blades circling overhead as well.
I closed my hand around Faruh’s collar, grabbed him by the shirt, and hurled him towards Kamil in one jerking motion.
At the same time, I released my wind blades, but I didn't aim them at Faruh. No, I aimed them at Doro and Misha, who were sprinting towards us.
Kamil had already fired his plasma beam at me, but he wasn’t expecting me to throw Faruh into the beam’s line of fire as cannon fodder. There was nothing he could do but watch Faruh get blasted by the plasma beam.

The wind blades took off and quickly encircled both men as the blades turned into Blade Storm.
At that moment, I had a realization about the skill or why I could find the skill but seeing that I was in the middle of a life-or-death battle, this little insight of mine would have to wait.
“Fuck, I’m going to kill you now, you little shit,” screamed Kamil in anger after watching Faruh get cut in two by the beam.
Faruh didn’t stand a chance against the beam. As an assassination specialist, he only had basic armor. He had to be agile and fast; too much armor impeded that.
Unfortunately for him, he didn’t even know how he died as the beam blasted him from the back.
Kamil then turned and looked at Doro and Misha. After realizing their situation, he quickly composed himself.
“Kid, let's talk about this, ok?” he said while grinding his teeth.
“No need to get to a point where none of us can come back from,” he said as he lowered his weapon.
“Now you want to talk? After firing that stupid blaster weapon at me twice, fuck no,” I said, all riled up.
My heart was beating extremely fast, and I had all this juice from the GB enhanced to the max. I was all wired up, as they say.
Kamil only wanted to make time to see if Doro and Misha could break out of the Blade Storm. He had no intention of letting Khyrum live.
Outside the park entrance, all these explosions and commotion had attracted the attention of many bystanders. This was one of the reasons Damian was late. He could get by the people blocking the street into the park.
“Fuck people get out of the way,” screamed Damian as loud as he could.
“Shit, I need to get out of this vehicle and make my way in quickly,” he said as he exited the vehicle.
“Man, look at the explosion; it's massive. Who the hell could be fighting in the park right now,” said one of the standards.
“I think it might be some sort of publicity stunt for one of the capital strike teams, maybe the Immortal heirs or maybe Death Strike; they both have been very active in the city lately,” said a second standard.
“Yeah, there is no way a regular alpha could create those kinds of explosions. It would have to be a tier one skill, and those aren’t just used randomly by anyone,” said a third by standard.
As the people talked and speculated about what could be happening inside, Damian quickly moved amongst the crowd to find his way in.
Back inside the park, Kamil stared down Khyrum, trying to buy some time for his men.
“Kid, let's call it a day; no need to continue to kill each other,” he said. He was hoping Khyrum would buy into his ruse.
“As soon as this kid lets Doro and Misha go, we will go after that girl. I think that will be his weakness,” thought Kamil.
I knew what he was thinking; I would have thought the same way.
“They will go after Eva to try and hurt me; that won't do. There is no way I will put her in any danger,” I told myself as I got ready for the next move.
“Kamil, you fucking piece of shit. I know what you're thinking, and either you or me are going to die here today,” I told him straight out.
Kamil didn’t flinch, but I could see a slight gleam in his eyes, one that people usually get when they have killed many times before.
Before he could say anything else, I took off gliding towards him, but simultaneously, I executed my Blade Storm.
A massive tornado-like storm rose hundreds of feet into the air, about 100 feet from where I and Kamil were fighting. Doro and Misha were trapped inside.
“Doro, activate all your armor,” said Misha, sweating profusely. He also could keep his hands from shaking.
“I’ve done it, but I’m not sure we can survive this. Let's try to shoot our way out. Maybe we can disrupt the timing of the blades long enough to allow us to escape,” Doro also nervously said.
The duo fired off their tier-one weapons.
Doro's TC Rail-blaster materialized out of his hand. He fired round after round, but it did not affect the blades.
“Man, I don’t know what these fucking blades are made of; usually, with one blast, I can break through tier two armor like it was paper; a couple of shots and I can crack tier one armor, but here, they have no effect,” said Doro trembling.
Misha used his TC ER-MK III elemental rifle to fire bursts after bursts of fire and wind projectiles, but like Doro, it had no effect.
“Fuck, Fuck, Fuck,” kept screaming Misha as he fired shot after shot without no avail.
Both men were in a bad place, and it did not look like they would make it out.
“I need to go all out against this freaking kid; maybe I can disturb his concentration enough to where he loses the grip on the skill,” thought Kamil, desperately trying to figure out a way to get his men free.
Outside the park, the people were in awe of the tornado produced by the Blade Storm.
“Shit, there is no way someone created that tornado; I haven’t seen any alpha display that skill for as long as I remember,” said one of the by-standards in total bewilderment.
“Could they be filming some sort of docu-series or something in the park,” said another of the by-standards.
“Maybe they are filming that commercial for the Immortals or Death Strike,” repeated a third by-standard.
Only Damian knew that the presence of that tornado meant that the shit had hit the ceiling.
“Shit, prime is using his ultimate technique. Shit must be bad for him to use it. I need to get in there quickly,” he said, pushing his way across the people.
Suddenly, the tornado collapsed as the five blades forming it rushed into the middle of the storm, and a huge explosion was heard. This was followed by a large dust cloud with hints of red mist intertwined, littering the air in and around the park.
At the time of the explosion, ear-piercing shrieks were heard from two different voices.
“AAAhhhgggg I don’t want to di……..” came the bloodcurdling scream from Misha.
Doro let out a loud grunt-like noise, “GGGRRRHH….”, then silence.
Kamil’s eyes just turned completely red.
“FUCK, I’m going to kill you and anyone associated with you, your girlfriend, the Richie Family, even those girls Cora and Yara,” screamed Kamil like a lunatic as he saw Doro and Misha turn into blood mist.
