“Death Knights?”
I tried to remember ever hearing of them, but nothing came up. Were they a criminal organization or maybe a pro-strike team?
I wasn’t sure, but they looked like they meant business.
“Sorry, but I’m not allowed to go anywhere on school nights. Can I take a rain check?” I said in a snarky voice.
“Kid, are you trying to be a smart ass?” said Damian, not so politely.
“Look, Mr. Jarda, I’m not sure who you are or why you want me to go with you, but I’m going to have to decline,” I said seriously.
“I already told you, brat, I’m the leader of the Death Knights, and we run this part of town. So, if we say you need to come with us, that’s final,” said Damian.
“Boss, he’s just a snot nose punk ass kid; let's just grab him and get this over with,” said another of the goons by the name of Bory.
Bory wasn’t as tall as Damian but stockier than him. He seemed to be around the same age. He had a square face with beady eyes and green hair.
“Yeah, let’s grab him and get this over with. I’m starting to get hungry; I could use some food after this,” said the third goon named Keo.
On the other hand, Keo was only about 5’5” tall, with thick arms and a broad chest. He had a pear-shaped head with a wide jaw and slanted eyes. His hair was completely white, and he had a scar running along the right side of his neck. He appeared to be in his late twenties.
The last two lackeys were your run-of-the-mill bad guys, medium height, with few distinguishable features.
I looked at them, and I could tell immediately that they were all Alphas. To what degree, I didn’t know, but to work for Zone 16, which runs both the underground groups and black market in the Gravitaz area, they had to have some skills.
“Well, can you at least tell me where we are going or why,” I said, fainting nervousness.
Damian and the other goons looked at me and only shook their heads before laughing.
“Look at you, almost pissing your pants, and we haven’t even started,” said Keo.
“Kid, unfortunately, someone doesn’t want you around anymore. I can't say who, but someone paid a good amount of credits to see you disappear,” said Damain coldly.
“Someone that doesn’t want me around,” I thought.
Brandon and Daisy’s faces kept popping up in my mind, but I wanted to believe we hadn’t reached that point in our relationship.
“No, it couldn’t be them; I haven’t done anything to have them try and kill me,” I kept telling myself.
“Hey, kid, are you still listening to me? I said get your ass over here now,” hollered Bory.
I snapped out of my thoughts and looked up, only to see them grin as if they already had the cat in the bag.
“Are you sure you guys want to go this route,” I said in a startling tone.
All five of the men stopped grinning after hearing me.
“Get him, Bory,” said Damian.
But before Bory could move, I had already activated Windstep and my Golden Body enhancement. In an instant, I’d moved in front of him.
I could see his eyes grow wide in disbelief as he did not expect me to be able to move like that.
“What the fuck”
Where his words right before my right fist landed square on his chest. There was a loud noise, like something blunt hitting a punching bag.

THUD!
He was sent flying 15 feet back. He wasn’t going to get back up. Even though I had not used DSS, I did have my golden body attributes, which enhanced my strength at least 15-fold. He was out cold; I wouldn’t be surprised if he were dead.
Damian's eyes grew wide, the same as those of the rest of the group.
“What the fuck just happened” he screamed out.
“Bory, Bory, get up,” kept screaming Keo.
After a few seconds, seeing that he wouldn’t get up, Keo turned and looked at me with fear and hatred.
“You are going to pay for this, you little shit,” he growled.
Looking at the skills I used, Damian quickly understood that this would not be an easy fight. He had enough experience to see that this was not normal.
“Everyone spread out. We can’t let him get a free run at us,” he shouted to his team.
“Let's implement the earthly prison formation first to subdue him,” Damian said as he gave orders to his team.
They all spread out to form a perimeter around me. Each took a point, one to the left, one on the right, Damian in front, and Keo behind me about 15 feet away. They had formed a square with me in the middle.
“Guys, we can still work this out; we don’t have to do this,” I said, trying to defuse the situation.
“Go the hell,” screamed Keo from behind me.
“You hurt Bory, so no turning back now,” said Damian as he eyed me cautiously.
“GO!” shouted Damian.
I was new to all these fighting people situations. I had fought many animals and beasts before, but they didn’t give out cues to start fights, so I was very slow to pick them up.
I looked around and saw Damian had taken a karate stand, his palm facing outward, ready to do a heel strike. I noticed that all of them had the same stand.
Suddenly, I saw green flashes coming from Damian's palm, like arcs or green fireworks. I looked at the other three guys, and each had similar flashes but in different colors: red, the other blue, and the fourth orange.
This situation had deteriorated so quickly. Not even 10 minutes into the fight, I knew this would probably turn into a death match with these guys.
“Shit, this doesn’t look good,” I told myself.
Suddenly, all four screamed out, “YAAHH.”
In the next instance, a swirling ray of green-colored mist or wind flew out of Damian's hand, heading straight toward me. Keo was the same, but he looked like flames intertwined with each other. The other two goons had blue water waves, and the last had what looked like an orange beam.
They were coming so fast that I could only see 2 of the 4.
Suddenly, all four rays hit me simultaneously, causing a massive beam of light to engulf me.
“HAHAHA, we got him, Boss,” said Keo while keeping his assault going.
“Yeah, it seems that way, but we need to wait to make sure….” Damian was saying when, out of the corner of his eye, he saw a shadow flash past the goon to his left.
In the next instance, there was a loud explosion, BOOM, and the goon went out flying.
He looked back to the middle, and his eyes almost fell from his head from the surprise.
In the middle was Khyrum, glowing in Golden and Silver-Green hues. His skin looked like diamond scales. His arms had bulged out quite a bit, and an air wall blocked the rays from hitting him.
“What?!!” screamed out Damian.
“You guys didn’t want to listen; well, I guess it’s my turn to fight back,” I said excitedly.
“Two down, three to go,” I told myself as I turned to look at the third goon.
I quickly formed a wind blade with my right hand.
“STOP,” came a scream from in front of me.
Damian looked at me with eyes that said, “What the hell are you?”
“Kid, what’s that you have in your right hand?” he asked, staring intently at the Windblade.
I looked at the wind blade in my hand and noticed it had changed slightly from before. Its crescent shape was more defined, and it was spinning faster. Also, you could see a green edging along the outside of the blade.
“This is my wind blade,” I said as I chucked it at the third goon.
It flew out so fast that the goon didn’t even have time to move his hands to block it. It hit him squared across the chest, sending him flying about 20 feet back. There was a massive gash in his chest as the wind blade had cut straight across the muscle and bone, exposing the inner organs. There was little chance he was going to survive.
I then looked back at Damian, whose face had darkened after seeing me take out his third goon member.
“DIE!!!” came a scream from behind.
I turned around to see Keo running square at me, about five feet away. On his right hand, he had what seemed to be a fire blade about 10 inches long.
“Stop, Keo!” shouted Damian, but it was too late.
Keo kept running, and at about 1 foot away, he lunged with his right hand and drove the fire blade into my stomach.
“Hahaha,” laughed Keo like a maniac.
“You thought you were a badass, didn’t you, kid? But see, I’m the badass here. Now you’re going to die,” he said as he plunged the fire blade in some more.
“Really?” I said calmly.
Seeing that Khyrum was not hurting like envisioned, Keo stepped back, wary.
“I’ve killed quite a few people with that blade; they burn from the inside, so don’t think that you’re getting away,” he said cautiously.
“This blade?” I said, pointing at the fire blade that was embedded about halfway into my stomach.
The only reason I could act so cool right now was that my heal skill, even when passive like right now, was negating the effects of the blade.
Keo was skeptical about the whole situation.
“Why haven’t you died yet,” he said in despair.
“You can’t kill me; watch,” I said with a smile.
I used my Heal Skill in the next instance, and the blade completely vanished. No marks or blood or burned anything happened. It was like it was never there.
“It’s my turn now!”
