Chapter 39-I need to eat.

Chapter 39-I need to eat.

Khun, Roy, and Duccio just stood there like a bunch of statues after the call finished.

“How was that?” asked Roy.

Khun didn’t react. He was just looking at his CAD; his face showed no emotion and was completely absent from the conversation.

“KHUN, WHO THE FUCK WAS THAT” screamed Roy trying to bring him back.

Khun suddenly snapped back after hearing Roy.

“Sorry about that; I was just lost in my thoughts,” he said, still somewhat confused.

“That was Lord Zeal Lucent, leader of the extremely powerful Zigmis Group,” he said while looking at Roy.

Both Roy and Duccio tensed up after hearing Khun.

“Shit, what are we going to do, Khun?”

“Yeah, boss, what’s the plan now?” said Duccio.

Khun looked at both men and then proceeded to walk towards the charm.

“There is only one thing I can do now. We will have to get the big shots involved to sort this out,” he said as he picked up the charm.

“Roy, please take this charm and store it securely. As a matter of our commitment to you, we will transfer 500 million gold credits to your account right now as a deposit for the auction,” said Khun as he handed the charm to Roy.

Roy just stood there in a trance-like state after hearing Khun’s words.

“ROY!” shouted Khun to get his attention.

“Sorry, yeah, let's put this in the security box, and I’ll be leaving ASAP,” said Roy as he picked up the charm and put it inside the security box.

“OK, make sure to leave through the back entrance to avoid any unwanted attention. I would also recommend laying low for the next few days until we can sort this out; I would have your friend who owns the charm do the same thing,” added Khun.

Roy nodded and took a few steps before he stopped and turned back.

“Sorry, but I don’t know where the back exit is for this place,” he said nervously.

Khun looked up, as he was observing something in his CAD at that moment.

“Duccio, please see him out through the back exit,” he said, but right after he addressed ‘Roy one last time.

“Roy, I can't state how big this is going to be once everything is settled, so you must take care of yourself and that charm, as you are in the world spotlight right now already,” he said as he turned on the Holo-Display.

He then tuned in to the information channel, and right there, in big, bold letters, headlining the news, were the following titles.

“Strongest Tier One Charm to Date to be auctioned in Rayong.”

“All major powers are sending people to investigate the appearance of the God-like Tier-One Charm in Rayong.”

“Zigmis Groups claims ownership to God-like Tier-One Charm.”

“As you can see by these headlines, this has gone global already. So, it’s in everyone's best interest in this room to handle this with absolute care and discretion going forward. Rest assured that they will not find out from us who you are, Roy, but I can't say the same thing for anyone else you have already talked to,” said Khun as he sat at his desk.

Roy nodded in agreement while still looking at the headlines on the Holo-Display.

“Roy, let's go,” said Duccio as he was leaving the room.

Roy finally unglued his eyes from the display and followed Duccio to the back exit.

Khun watched both men leave his office. He then dialed some numbers on his CAD, and soon, a call was connected.

“Boss, have you seen the news?"

"Yes, well, let me tell you, we are the auction for that charm,” said Khun resolutely.

There was a long silence on the line before the other side responded.

“What did you just say?” asked the voice on the other side of the call, almost screaming.

“I said we are the auction site for the charm, but we have a little problem,” continued Khun.

“Don’t say anymore. Get your ass on a transport and head this way now,” said the voice before disconnecting.

After the call disconnected, Khun left the room and went to look for his right-hand man, Duccio.

Duccio had just escorted Roy out through the back and was walking down the hallway when he bumped into Khun.

“Boss, why the face?” he said.

“Pack up; we are going to Lamjung in Nepal to meet with the Boss right now,” said Khun anxiously.

Back at the Butcher shop. Roy was catching up on his story.

“After I left Khun’s house, I messaged you, and here we are now,” said Roy, telling me what had just happened.

I looked at him with a sense of relief.

“Roy, thanks for telling me. I just thought the situation was a lot worse,” I sighed.

“How much worse do you want it to get, Brat?” he asked surprised.

“No, I don’t mean it like that. Your message was very alarming, so I thought you had been kidnapped or something,” I said.

“I'm glad it wasn't that bad, but we must be careful going forward," I continued.

“Now that the whole world knows about the charm, you can bet that by tomorrow, Rayong will be a-buzz with crews from every major world power and more asking about the charm. Trying to figure out who has it and where it came from,” said Roy, getting worked up.

“You really think it will get that bad,” I asked, unconvinced.

“Just you watch, kid, this place is going to be a madhouse by tomorrow, mark my words,” said Roy.

I just nodded and proceeded to stand up.

“Well, since we know we need to lay low for now, I’m going to go back to my guesthouse while the streets are still passable,” I said mockingly.

“Kid, I know you are not taking this seriously, but I recommend you do. You don’t want to play around with the groups from the committee,” said Roy in a serious tone.

As I reached the door for the office, I turned back.

“I’ll be fine, Roy; they don’t know me; it's you they know since you're sticking your head out for me."

“Keep the charm safe, but like I said before, don’t risk your life for it. You're my only friend, and I hate to have to go through the trouble of making a new one,” I said.

Roy looked at me with an incredulous face that said, “You little shit, you knew something like this was going to happen.”

"Take care of yourself and call me if you have any problems,” I said as I reached the office door.

I waited a few moments for Roy, but he was still thinking of something.

“Hey, don’t just sit back there. Come open the front door so I can leave,” I said to Roy, who was still looking at me in disbelief.

Roy got up and proceeded to walk toward me; as he passed by me, he whispered, “I’m keeping 25% of the auction price as my cut for all the trouble you're causing me.”

I looked at him, wanting to say something, but he quickly followed up.

“It's nonnegotiable,” he said as he opened the office door.

I just shook my head and walked to the shop's front door. Roy opened the front door, and I proceeded to leave the shop.

After walking a few steps, I turned back.

“I’m serious, Roy, don’t risk your life for the charm. Let it go if you see no way out,” I told him with some concern.

“I’ll be at my house the rest of the break. If anything comes up, let me know,” I said as I walked away.

Roy nodded and looked at me as I walked away. He then went back inside and locked the front door.

As I walked back to the house, I kept thinking about the different situations that had happened throughout the day, from Brandon’s arena fight to Eva’s love ambush to Roy and the auction.

“So much has happened today that I didn’t even get a chance to eat properly,” I told myself.

My stomach was growling and rumbling. It wanted food.

“Man, I hope Malee restocked my fridge, as I don’t feel like going to the main house to look for food," I told myself as I walked home.

Suddenly it dawned on me as I walked back, thinking of what food I could get.

“Shit, I forgot all about Thida’s Skill. I can use this lay low time to learn the new skill,” I thought.

A smile crept up to my face as I recalled the skill Thida had.

“It’s a healing skill, so this will round me out."

"I will have an attack skill with the Wind Technique, a defense skill with the DSS skill, an enhancement skill with the Golden Body attributes, and finally, a healing or recovery skill. This is great,” I kept thinking when suddenly my stomach began to growl again.

“Shit but first things first. I need to find something to eat!”
