Chapter 25-This is Freaking Fake Isn't It?

As I walked back to the guesthouse, I couldn’t help but feel a little bit apprehensive.

“Did I forget to do something?” I asked.

“I finished the download and uploaded the results. I’m sure the person that showed up couldn’t spot me, so I don’t think he knows who I am.”

Then it hit me!

“Shit, shit motherfucking son of freaking whore, I forgot to turn off the stupid machine,” I said in utter disbelief.

“How could I be so freaking stupid. K, you’re a damm moron and shithead for forgetting this,” I kept telling myself.

With that, I stopped and checked the download on my PLE as soon as possible. I opened it up and verified it.

“Good, good. My name is not on the test results. That means no one knows it was me,” I said in relief.

I was scared that my name would appear in the test results. When I left in a hurry, I forgot to turn off the machine, leaving my test results in plain view for whoever checked it. If my name had appeared on that report, my façade would have come crashing down.

I need to get home to check on these results without delay.

Meanwhile, back at school.

“Principal Kai, do you have a minute? We need to discuss a crucial matter,” Trenton said over his CAD.

Matias Kia was the principal of Elite High School and the leader of the third-rank Kai family under the Gravitaz Group.

“Is this so important that it cannot be discussed through the CAD?” said the principal.

“Yes, sir, we need to sit down and discuss this one-on-one,” Trenton said.

“Alright, Numa. I’m at home right now. Why don’t you swing by, and I’ll have my wife prepare us a late snack while we discuss this urgent issue?” continued Principal Kai.

“Ok, sir, I’m heading that way now.”

Meanwhile, at James' household, Felix James was sitting in his living room discussing some issues with his wife, Lea, when suddenly a call came into the house HAD, or Holographic Communication Device, from the Richie Estate.

“Good evening, Mrs. Richie; to what do I owe the pleasure of this call today?” said Felix graciously.

Daisy was not happy. Her demeanor was that of a pouty kid.

“Felix, did you not tell me that you sent your daughters to Elite High School in Riyadh to try and get closer to my son? So what is this I’m hearing that both your daughters are doting after the same useless trash, Khyrum?” she said in an icy voice.

This news took Felix aback. He had talked to his daughters not too long ago, and both had said the same thing: that they were making headway with Brandon but that it was still too early to discuss any future relationship.

“Mrs. Richie, I’m not sure where you're getting your news, but I just talked to my daughters, and both assured me that they are trying to establish a good relationship with Brandon. They never mentioned anyone else,” he said, a little confused.

“Where am I getting this information?” Daisy said agitatedly, raising her voice as if Felix had insulted her.

“Felix, it does not matter where I’m getting this information. You are a commander under my husband; don’t forget that. You are here to serve under us, and that includes my son. So if I say your daughters are misbehaving, then they must be. If I say that your daughters can only go out with Brandon, then that is also true,” said Daisy in a commanding tone.

“You understand that your family exists only through our good graces. So I’m asking you to fix this. I do not want to hear any more about your daughters chasing that trash boy, which makes our group look bad. Do you understand? Or would you want me to call my husband to have him explain this to you?” she said with a smirk.

Felix and his wife, Lea, were frozen by the words. They knew how hard it was to climb the ranks in the committee groups. They had sacrificed many years to get to where they were. So, hearing Daisy's words, they were frozen in shock that they could lose their standing within the group.

Looking at her, Felix could only oblige,

“Understood, Mrs. Richie. I will get with the girls right now and reprimand and set them straight. We will correct this issue right away,” he said submissively.

“Good, it seems like you are a smart man after all. Let's get this done quickly. I don’t want to hear any more of this nonsense,” she said, then hung up on the call.

Lea looked at her husband and wanted to say something but held back.

“Damm, what did these girls get us into now?” Felix said as he made another call to his daughters.

By then, Khyrum had already gotten to his guest home at the Richie Riyadh estate.

As he walked in, he closed the door behind him with the deadbolt to make sure no one came in to interrupt him.

“All right, it's all secured, so let's look at the test results,” he said excitedly.

Hitting the download button on his PLE, he started browsing the information. As he continued to browse, his eyes seemed glued to the screen. His face contorted between expressions of excitement, surprise, and disbelief.

After reading the results several times, his face turned like a stone statue, bere of emotion. You could not tell if he was happy, sad, mad, or anything else.

All that was visible was a tiny flicker of doubt in his eyes. He was still having a hard time believing the report.

“This can’t be. There is no way this report is accurate,” I said doubtfully.

I kept going over the report.

“I can't believe my Tgene count is at 55% without even awakening yet,” I said in total disbelief.

That was hard to believe; the 55 percent Tgene count as a base was unbelievable.

Now, you threw in the skills ranked above tier-one, that put the report on another level I couldn’t understand.

“What is God's green earth happening here? What the hell is a Titan Class Skills?” I asked in total shock.

This was the first I had seen or heard of this skill class. I know skills ranged from tier-one to tier-three, but I had never heard of a Titan Class, and here, the report said that the golden body was a Titan Class Skill. Even more shocking was that the report said I could have three, so besides the Golden Body Skill, my DSS and my Wind Technique were probably also Titan Class Skills.

This came as a complete shock.

“What do I do now?” was the first question that popped into my mind.

“I can't go to the freshmen tryouts anymore,” I said in a low voice.

I knew this set me apart from anyone else. How far apart still had to be seen, but if the report gave any clues, it was a fast distance. A distance that I don’t think anyone could traverse quickly.

“I need to do more research on this,” I told myself.

“I have to understand my skills and powers better.”

“I can’t let anyone know for now, as it would cause far-reaching consequences if I do,” I continued.

“School is having a holiday break in a few weeks. We should be going back to Rayong for the break. Maybe I can take advantage of this and investigate. Maybe I can even reach out to Roy and see if he can look up some things for me.” I said, formulating a plan in my head.

“I will drop out of sight and keep the lowest profile possible.”

“I’ll need to review the results again just to make sure I didn’t miss anything and to write down notes of what I need to investigate when I get back to Rayong,” I said.

With that, I got my PLE and started reviewing the report's details, noting certain aspects I wanted answers to.

In a very luxurious estate on the outskirts of Riyadh, two men were sitting in a study discussing something unbelievable.

“You say you walked into the Phys Ed building and found someone had used one of the Tgene sequencers,” asked Principal Kai.

“Yes, sir, I'm sure of it. I couldn’t see who it was. The person or thing moved so fast that all I saw was a shadow,” Trenton said excitedly.

“Hmm, that's hard to believe coming from you, Trenton. You have a high Tgene count, and your skills are unmatched by the trainers in school,” said Principal Kai incredulously.

“I understand, principal, that’s why I called you. The person who tested left so quickly that he forgot to erase his test results. I was able to download them. That’s what I wanted to show you, sir.”

“You make it sound like it's some big discovery, Numa; you have picked my interest show me.”

“Ok, but I recommend that you sit down so as not to fall from the shock,” Trenton said seriously.

With that, he passed the test results from his CAD to Principal Kai's own CAD. When Matias opened up the download, he started reading the report. After the first few lines, he screamed out, “THIS IS FUCKING FAKE, ISN'T IT?”
