Chapter 19- Golden Body Enhancement.

Chapter 19- Golden Body Enhancement.

Both girls couldn’t take their eyes off the light. Its hypnotic rhythm entranced them. After what seemed like hours to them, but only minutes in real time, the first twin, Yara, was able to snap out of her trance.

“Cora, hey, snap out of it,” she said while shaking her sister’s shoulder.

After a few shakes, Cora was able to come back.

“What happened?” she said.

“I don’t know. I remember looking at the pulsating light, and the next thing I knew, I was in Lala Land,” said Yara.

“Yeah, me too.”

Both looked surprised, but then they turned to Khyrum. After a minute, both girls had this massive grin from ear to ear on their faces.

“What did I tell you, Yara? Was I right or what?” said Cora staring intently at Khyrum. Her eyes showed this sparkle of admiration for him.

“This sneaky bastard!!” said Yara while grinning at Khyrum.

“I have an inkling for this sort of thing, sister. Remember a year ago when we were with Dad in the forest, and I could tell there was a powerful beast on the other side of the ridge?”

“It’s like I have a sixth sense about power fluctuations, and I could tell something was up with Khy,” continued Cora.

“Yeah, and here he was trying to hide it from us. Do you think he has APD, sister?” asked Yara in an excited tone.

Cora was caught off guard by the question. She had not considered it until Yara brought it up.

“Yes, it is very likely that he does. I don’t know anyone who can do what he is doing now at our age. We haven’t even awakened yet. We are still about a year away.” she said quietly to Yara.

“This is big; it probably is the biggest kept secret in school,” said Yara.

“In school?” said Cora with a bewildered look.

“Try in the whole zone, if not the whole world. No one has ever shown skills before awakening. It’s a myth, sister, and here we are with a living myth before us,” said Cora, almost hyperventilating.

Both girls looked at each other and then back at Khyrum a few times before Yara finally asked.

“What do we do, Cora? Do we tie him up and drag him back to our home?” she said, staring at Khyrum as if ready to pounce on him if given the ok.

“No, you dimwit, what are we going to tell Dad that he has powers? Do you think he will believe us? He has his eye on Brandon so he won't even give Khyrum the benefit of the doubt,” she said to Yara.

“Also, we don’t know to what extent Khyrum has developed if he has developed any skills.”

“If we act too harshly with him, he might fight with us or even come hate us. That’s not what I want,” she continued to tell Yara.

“So, what’s the plan then? Do we lure him out into town, drug him, and then take advantage of him in a hotel to see if we can get pregnant?” said Yara, overly excited.

Cora looked at her sister, speechless.

After a second, she finally reacted, “What the hell are you talking about, Yara? she said in a frustrated.

"Why would you even think that?”

“Isn’t that what Dad said to do to Brandon if given the chance?” Yara said in a low voice.

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

“No, we are not drugging or raping anyone. That is not how I want my first time to be remembered,” she said to her twin.

“Ok, I also think the same. I just wanted to make sure we were both on the same page,” said Yara in a sheepish voice.

After staring at Yara for a while, Cora finally stepped back from the door and gestured to Yara to follow her.

They made their way back to the main training area without having disturbed Khyrum.

“Let's go back to the house first, Yara. I will think of a plan to get closer to Khyrum,” Cora said.

“Remember not to talk about what we just saw. If anyone else finds out, we could be putting Khyrum in danger,” she continued.

“I know, sis, I won’t blab to anyone. I want this to work for us as much as you do.”

With that, both girls sneaked out of the abandoned training ground. As they walked away, Cora turned back to glance at the building with a definite sparkle in her eyes.

While all this was happening, Khyrum was still in his Transformed state. He was unaware of the girls or the light in his chest. He was still looking at this movie reel-like sequence in his head.

“Man, it feels like I've been here for days. This sequence is long as hell.”

I wasn’t tired, but experiencing this for the first time made me skittish. “What if I can’t free myself from this trance-like state?”

“What if this takes weeks or months to complete?”

“Will the Richies look for me?”

All these questions kept popping up in my mind. After going back and forth with different answers to each question. I finally noticed that the reel-like sequence was starting to slow down.

“Is the DNA sequence coming to an end?” I asked myself.

I could see the sequence slow down. The letters, popping up at an astonishing speed, started to slow down. Finally, the last letter, or what I thought was the last letter, stopped. It stayed there for a little while before it disappeared.

But the reel-like display was still present.

“What’s going on with this sequence thing? Is it not complete yet?” I mumbled.

Before I could answer myself, I was already back in the weight room. I opened my eyes and saw myself sitting cross-legged on the floor.

“What a strange sensation,” I said to myself.

I didn’t realize I could do this kind of training. My first two skills were acquired through the DNA sequencer that Roy lent me. I wonder if this is how the old Alphas used to learn their skills.

“Man, it would have been a drag to sit down and learn skills this way. But I can’t complain as there is no way I can get my hands on a DNA sequencer without raising suspicions.”

“I guess for now, this is how it will be. As long as I keep myself hidden, I should be okay. No one knows I’m here, so I don’t have to worry about being interrupted,” I told myself as I got up from the floor.

Unbeknownst to me, two little she-devils had already broken through my façade and were planning on having me submit to them.

“Let's see if all this meditation worked.”

I closed my eyes and thought of the sequence like I did the first two times, but nothing came up.

“Am I doing something wrong?” I thought.

I tried to remember how I brought up the two skills the first time I used them in the forest outside Rayong.

“It was in that battle with the beast that I was able to use them, but how did I do it?” I asked myself.

I thought for a little while when it suddenly hit me. I didn’t think about it; I just did it. It was by instinct that I brought up the skills. Later, when I ran into other beasts, it was also by instinct that I could use the skills. Even now, it’s by instinct. I don’t speak or chant words when I want to use them.

I just do.

Thinking of this, I went back into the main training area.

“Man, it's almost dusk; how long was I meditating?” I said as I watched the sun setting behind the horizon through the window.

I looked at my PLE and realized I had been meditating for about three hrs.; it was almost eight at night.

“Shit, that was a long time. I hope I didn’t just waste three hrs. of my life,” I said as I walked towards some weighted dummies we use for punching.

These dummies weigh about 500 pounds each. They were tailored explicitly for us to hone our strengths. An Alpha could quickly push it back 10 to 20 meters with a punch, but we students could only practice our punches as there was no way we could move it.

I approached the dummy and looked at it from side to side. I leaned on it, trying to move it, but it wouldn’t budge.

“Ok, this is it. Let's see if I picked up another skill,” I told myself.

With that, I got into my fighting stance and cleared my mind. I took two steps back before I cocked back my right hand.

The next instant, I stepped forward with my right foot and quickly followed up with my left and right foot again. I shuffled my feet so fast that it looked like I was running. Once in front of the dummy, I unloaded my right hand without thinking.

I followed through and saw my right hand fly towards the dummy. The DSS skill kicked in as I could see the texture on my hand change. But then I noticed it. The vein in my bicep bulged, and my arm seemed to glow a faint golden-blue color.

As my hand made impact with the dummy, there was a loud sound like an explosion.

BOOM!!!

The next thing I knew, the dummy flew out and landed about 80 meters down from where I was standing, completely obliterated. It was torn to shreds.

My mouth dropped, and my eyes focused on what had just happened.

Golden Body Enhancement popped into my brain.

"Is this the name of the skill?" I thought.

Then it dawned on me.

“Oh shit, I’m going to kill someone if I don’t master this skill quickly.”
