Prologue

“Once upon a time there were three deities chosen by the Great Lord of Time to watch over a really peculiar world. A world ruled by three different races, three races so different in appearances, life styles and convictions that conflicts between the three races seemed unavoidable, but against all odds there were no disputes between the races mostly because none of the races were aware of the others. This was bound to change though.

Therefore, the three deities were assigned by the Great Lord of Time to keep the peace in this world. Each of the deities was given a race to guide.

Their goal was to encourage the collaboration between the races, so that this world could prosper beyond what was expected from a world with only one race, like all the other worlds in the mulitverse.

The Great Lord of Time did choose each of the deities fitting the needs of the race they were responsible for.

The first deity was Alexa the goddess of Order, whose beauty was said to be beyond that what any mortal female could ever hope to reach. Although, most would have described her with positive adjectives like caring, benevolent and kind-hearted, they also wouldn't shy away to use negative ones. Especially, since she had the habit of poking her nose in the affairs of other gods in the pantheon of the Great Lord of Time, causing trouble for many gods.

Thus, the Great Lord of Time was quite happy to send her into a wolrd far, far away from his pantheon and gave her the mission to look after the Serpahs, one of the three races inhabiting said world.

The Seraphs are a race of magical humanoid beings with large bird like wings on their backs. These wings serve as a point to gauge their might, the larger and the fewer individual wings, they have, the stronger they are.

Seraphs are really conservative. They desire order and despise change. If you ask me, a pretty stupid ideology, but you can't blame them, because too many changes might be too much for their little bird brains." Lamia put on a funny grimace to point out the stupidity of the seraphs, causing the little boy who was listening to her fairytale? to show a devilish smile.

The moment Lamia saw that smile, she felt like the proudest mother on the whole multiverse. "But don't let their stuidity fool you!" She said in a warning tone. "Seraphs might not be the brightest race, but they have a high affinity towards light magic. Unfortunately, even fools can become dangerous given the right tools.

The second deity was Fors the God of Fate. Unlike most of the deities, who like taking the appearence of 20 to 30 years old handsome males or beautiful females, Fors prefers the appearance of a 55 year old man with a light beard, at least if we can trust the illustration in the temples.

Fors has always been a wicked man, he loved to use deception and cheating to slip his way up in the Great Order of Gods, the Cabinet serving the Great Lord of Time. So, it wasn't really a surprise when the Great Lord of Time sent him away to the furthest, most remote world in his domain. Fors was chosen to guide the Humans.

Humans are the weakest of the three races since most of them lack magical talent. They don't live very ling at most 150 years, but unlike us and the seraphs they reproduce like rabbits, securing that way the survival of their race. They are a really smart race, they make up for their lack of magic through their knowledge of alchemy and physics.

They are ruled by the Elder, a gruoup of demihumans possessing great magical talent. That's only because the Elders are a crossing of either Seraph with Humans or Demons with Humans, mostly Demons with Humans because most of our males don't know self restrain." Lamia rolled her eyes annoyed.

"Let's hope you don't end up like one of those guys, no, you won't, since I will raise you to a fine gentleman." Lamia smiled at the boy and started to pet the boy who was busy trying to free himself out of his festivity garments.

Lamia took the two years old boy and placed him on her lap. Making all the struggles the boy went through to get out of the garments were in vain. After Lamia had made sure the tailcoat the boy was wearing stayed on, she continued with her little fairytale.

“As I was saying the Elder are the only ones that could match the weaker ones of our race in strength and magic. But they mean us no harm, since we teach them and train them in magic and they are the offspring of our kind. In exchange for that training they let us free access to their technologies and they would help us to fight the birdbrains if needed.

The third deity was Permix the God of Chaos. He is said to have used the appearance of a youth, not older than 20 with an athletic build. On his head he wore yet black hair that did what it pleased, giving him a wild look.

His hair wasn't the only thing wild about him, he himself was a freedom loving person, doing whatever he pleased, not even caring about the opinions and orders of the Great Lord of Time. He was unpredictable, a really emotionally driven person, that on one moment he could be the most kindhearted God on the pantheon of the Great Lord of Time, and on the next he could be kicking the ass of some other god for some petty reason.

Obviously, the Great Lord of Time did not have to think twice to decide sending him to our world and making him the God chosen to guide the Demons.

We Demons are the stronges of the three races. Unlike the seraphs we are smart enought to go with the time and even promote major changes if needed and we posses great magical talent.

We posses a strong affinity towards dark magic and have the abilty to live for centuries withoug even showing signs of aging, just like the seraphs do. That's why we don't bear many children... That's why you are my little miracle." Lamia said as she kissed the boys head and hugged him tightly.

Indeed the boy's birth was a miracle for the Demons: Usually a female Demon or Serpah would only be able to bear children during a set period of time. Mostly for over sixty years after reaching their thirtieth birthday. Once that time window is overstepped they'll become infertile.

Even during those sixty fertile years, it is really difficult for a female Demon or Seraph to get pregnant. This trait, special to those races was chosen by the nature to regulate the population of said races, making sure they wouldn't bear more than two children.

Lamia's time window for bearing children should have closed over two centuries ago, but she still got pregnant with the boy. So his birth was not only a big surprise for her and her husband, but also a miracle.

“As you can see demons and humans don’t look too different. If it wasn’t for the magical auras around our kin not even I would be able to differentiate between the two races. Well, that just applies for when we use our Human form.” As Lamia said that two black, bat like wings unfolded from behind her back, luckily for her the dress she was wearing had an open back so, it didn't get damaged. And from under the long black dress a tail coiled its way out for the boy to see.

"We Demon's just prefer our Human forms, because they aren't as impratcial. Our demonic form would just get in the way during our daily routine and don't get me started in fights. You can't imagine how painful it is when your opponent pulls you from your tail and starts swinging you around." Lamia shuddered remembering something she thought she had already forgotten.

“Anyways, the three gods came here to our world eager to guide their respective races. The first step they took to guide us was the creation of cults. Each god had their own cult following one ultimate goal; The assimilation of all three races so they could continue living in harmony.

This worked out quite well, the Demons taught the Humans magic and learned from them about technology. Although, more reserved the Seraphs also exchanged their magic with the Humans and to a even lesser extend with the Demons.

This caused the influece of both, the Seraphs and the Demons to grow on the Humans. Growing so big that the Human became dependent of these two races.

Fors already bitter from being sent tho this remote world, didn't like the idea of seeing his race dependent of the other two races. To his displeasure he wasn't only sent to this world at the end of the multiverse, but he was also given the weakest race to look after.

In his opinion his race was worthless, not only were they weak, but also just accepted every fate, he would give them for entertainment, no matter how ridiculous it was.

This new dependence on the other two races was just the last straw that broke the camel’s back. For Fors it was crystal clear. He had to act. But what was he supposed to do? He couldn’t just defy the orders of the Great Lord of Time!

He just didn’t know what to do. So he asked Permix for advice, because Permix was one of the few that had gone against the wishes of the Great Lord of Time and lived.

Permix was a simple-minded person, he didn't have any ambitions like Fors, so he just couldn't understand his friends sorrows. He even made everything worse, by telling Fors the reson why they were sent to this remote world. That reason being, that he was banned by the Great Lord of Time, because he had caused to much trouble in the Pantheon.

Hearing Permix's words was just like pouring salt into Fors wounds.

Fors despair was just getting bigger and bigger. Why would the Great Lord of Time punish him? He had always been a good subject. If you overlooked his ambitions to take the crown of the Great Lord of Time to rule over the multiverse, of course.

Was he just over thinking things? Was his race not as worthless as he made them to be?- No, they were worthless! Thinking about it, he realized the whole reason he was given this job was so the Great Lord of Time would have an excuse to purge him with his whole army, if he decided to defy his authority.

He couldn’t help but admire the Great Lord of Time. To come up with a move like this just was something real rulers could come up with. He who had spent almost an eternity conspiring against the Great Lord of Time didn’t even realize he was just a little fish in the much bigger net of the Great Lord of Time.

Fors spent days laughing at his failure. He the god of fate couldn’t change his fate what an irony!

Since he couldn’t change his fate he decided to make the best out of his stay in our world. And Alexa, the goddess of Order wasn’t so bad to look at. Maybe this was a chance to settle down and to create  a family. Up until now, he had never even considered that possibility, since he had been too busy conspiring against the Great Lord of Time.

Fors didn’t waste any time and went straight to Alexa’s mansion. He dressed up in his most expensive and beautiful garments and took a small box with him. Inside the box: A pair of earrings. The earrings he once had won from Bella, the goddess of beauty. they were the most expensive item he had, nvertheless, he had decided to give them to Alexan as a pressent, to show her how serious he was.

When he reached the door of her mansion he realized something was odd. Usually Alexa did spend her evenings on the veranda staring in her glass globe trying to find a mortal worthy of her blessing, but not so on that day. He couldn’t find her on her veranda nor could he see any light coming from her house. It wasn’t late enough to say she was asleep. So what could have happened to her?

He knocked on her door several times, but she didn’t answer. He had no reason to worry about her because she was strong enough to take on any foe. Maybe, she found someone worthy of her blessings and she decided to pay him a visit.

As he was wondering about this and that he heard her laugh. He turned around and looked towards the place her laugh was comming from, just to find her blushing and holding hands with Permix. Fors didn't know what to do, except running back home, hopping they hadn't noticed him.

When he reached his house he felt like a fool. Why did he think it was a good idea to woo her? And why had she fallen for a musclebrain like Permix? Why did everything he did go wrong? How cruel could his fate be?

The next few months were a torture for Fors. Not only did he had to see every single day the stupid lovey dovey couple showing their love for each other every moment they could, but he also had to witness his race becoming weaker and weaker, more and more dependent of us and the Seraphs.

What made it worse were the attempts of Alexa and Permix to cheer him up. ‘Are you still in contact with Bella?’ ‘We are sure she wouldn’t mind dating you.’ ‘Finding your better half makes you see the world with different eyes, maybe you won’t be so gloomy if you find yourself a girlfirend’ Their kind words were rejected by Fors and just caused his rage to grow and grow.

The Day after the couple proudly announced Alexas pregnancy, Fors rage reached its peak. Fors closed himself in his private chambers and decided it was time to do something. Why was he the only one who had to suffer? Why were those two blessed with so much happiness?

In his opinion, this world was too small for three deities. One was enough! And now he most likely would have to share it with another! He had to find a way to stop them no matter what, therfore he came up with a plan so malicious it scared him how evil he could be sometimes.

A few nights later he decided it was time to put his plan in motion. He knew Permix had to choose a new grand priest therefore he would be returning to his and Alexas home late.

Fors waited for as long as he could until he felt Permix aura comming back from the festivities through the gate leading to the moral realm. He used his transformation skill and changed his looks to an exact doppelgänger of Permix. Looking like Permix, he entered the couples house took Alexa in to their bedroom and started doing it with her.

As planned by Fors, Permix walked into them.

Fors changed to his usual appearance just milliseconds before Permix entered the bedroom, leaving Alexa dumbfounded.

Before she could even react a ray of dark lightning hit her. Having her defenses dow, she couldn't bear the power of the death spell and was immediately dead.

As Permix realized the spell had hit Alexa and not Fors, he walked towards her to check if she was ok. A simple death spell as he had used, would never be able to kill a God, at least if they had their defenses up.

In his pain Permix forgot about Fors presence, who took a curse dagger from out of his sleeve and stabbed into Permix's body.

One time, two times, three times, four times, five times, six times, seven times, eight times, nine times...

He continued stabbing untill he was sure of Permix's death.

"You'll pay for this, my... one of my children will make you pay for thi.." were Permix's last words as he coursed Fors.

Permix’ last words made Fors wary for a while, but he soon forgot about it, because he was sure, the Permix's child had died with Alexa, so there was no reason to be wary about that curse.

The first thing Fors did after cleaning up, was to inform the Great Lord of Time about what had happened. Of course he didn’t say he had planned everything. He just mentioned a lovers’ quarrel going overboard and when he reached their mansion, it had been too late. He asked the Great Lord of Time not to send other gods to this world. His arguments were that the world would be too small for one world and arguments could end bloody like it had just happened.

The Great Lord of Time didn’t have any other options than to listen to Fors advice. He made Fors officially the lone ruler of this world ordering Fors to guide all three races.

Fors second step was to mess up with the order all three gods had worked so hard to create. His goal was to break the dependence of the Human race with the other two races. He did so by sending Lunae, the continet of the Seraphs to another dimension and Umbra, our conitent to another dimension, leaving Terra, the Human continent alone on our original world.

He couldn’t really forbid us the contact with the other races, but he managed to massively reduce the contact between the races. There are only a few portals leading from Umbra to Terra and all three portals leading to Lunae were shut down because we don’t get along quite well with those stupid birdies.

Fors didn’t stop just there. He used a very powerful spell on the humans letting them forget about the other two races. Fors couldn’t totally wipe out our influence. His only choice was to give the humans a dangerously high amount of pride, letting them think everything in their world were the fruits of their achievements. This mostly includes the knowledge about magic.

After being done with the humans Fors went on to fool the seraphs. Fors knew he couldn’t use a spell of that scale to brainwash them like he had done with the humans because many of them could resist the spell. He decided to deceive their high priests and their Queen. He told them about how our god Permix had killed their goddess Alexa and how Permix had given us the quest to take over the world.

He told them the reason why he had to divide the world in three dimensions, was because of Permix’ quest. He asked them for help to keep the new order. This would include reducing their bonds with the humans to a minimum also to ensure we didn’t have many contacts with the humans.

Once he had the two easiest to convince races behind him, he made his move on us. The negotiations between Fors and our leaders were long and exhausting. What came of it was: We are allowed to interact with the humans as long as we don’t interfere with their growth as a race.”

The door of the room was opened. A beautiful woman wearing a French Maid costume came in, only her silver colored hair was a hint of her real age. “Mistress the ceremony is about to start”

Lamia looked toward the door. “Seems like I was lost in one of my stories again.” Lamia said as she walked towards the door the boy in her arms.
