Behind the scenes I

3.11 9967 ACS (Time after the continental separation) in the pantheon of the Great Lord of Time

Aetas was in his office. He was absorbed in a file he had taken from the pile of documents. It had been centuries since he had read something so entertaining. His smile became brighter and brighter as he went through the file.

He had always been a fan of well elaborated pranks. He himself had pulled quite a few of them when he was still young. That’s why he had been enjoying the file’s content so much. The papers inside the file contained detailed information about a ‘little prank’ his wife was trying to pull.

He had always wondered why he had married her in the first place. ‘Was it because her unrivaled beauty?’ ‘Or was it because of her loyalty?’ No know he had the answer it was because her character. It was because she could be so mean if she put her heart into it. “I should always try to stay on her good side,” he muttered to himself.

Someone knocked on the door of his office. Aetas looked up. He hid the file he had been reading in a drawer only he had access to. Aetas knew it must have been something important. His secretary knew, not to disturb him in the morning while he went through the pile of documents like he did every morning.

A young elf like woman entered the room.  It was Aetas secretary. “Your wife is outside and wishes to talk to you, sir” Aetas knew why she was here. He told his secretary to let her in.

A beautiful, well build red-haired goddess entered the room. She wore a tight, white strapless dress emphasizing her curves. “Hi there, Old Man” she said with a seductive voice, smiling at Aetas. “How many times have I already told you I’m not an old man?!” The woman giggled “I know, I know but I just can’t get enough of your serious expression. It’s so manly” She walked behind Aetas and hugged him.

“I just came to make sure you approve of my little prank. You know, playing with the mortals in my world has gotten a little boring.” Aetas turned around and found two big arguments for his wife. “And how are you going to make sure I approve of your little prank?” he asked smiling.

She kissed Aetas “I have my ways.” She set while she sat down on his lap. Aetas rolled his office chair so that he could continue with his work with her on his lap. “Yes, I have read the files you sent to my office. And the answer is yes. You can do as you please. I only have one question. Why did you choose ‘him’ as your victim?”

“Well I don’t like him. He just creeps me out. Not only did he steal one of my favorite pieces of jewelry, but he also has the blood of my big bro, his wife and my nephew on his hands. And let me tell you want thing, I the sort of woman that doesn’t forget. I am the type that doesn’t stop till she gets her revenge.”

Aetas, who was caressing her belly button stopped. “I guess it can be helped. That man had been a nuisance since long; I just didn’t have any means to attack him because of my political position. To make things worse I’m sure he is plotting something; I just don’t know what” Aetas hand had wandered all the way down under her dress and started caressing her private parts.

The woman gave a sweet little moan. She turned around and looked into Aetas eyes, “I love you Old Man” she said and let her tongue slip into Aetas throat. Struggling for air Aetas brought out an “I love you Bella.

29.7.9970 ACS in the Schatten’s castle in Obscurati (the capital of Umbra)

One week had passed since Tristan’s initiation ceremony. After the end of the ceremony Lamia had closed herself in inside her office. She only came out of the office to sleep or to take a bath. She hadn’t seen Tristan for a whole week now.

Before the ceremony, she had spent every free minute with the boy. Now she tried to avoid the child as much as she could. She was drowning herself in work to forget the young man’s voice. But no matter how hard she tried. She could still hear the “The boy who should not have been born…”

She felt guilty. It was her fault. The boy’s birth was her responsibility. She was the one to blame because she was the one who wanted to keep the baby. Although she knew it wasn’t a normal pregnancy.  By the time she got pregnant, she should have been already infertile. But she still insisted on keeping the baby. And now even ‘fate’ had rejected the poor boy. Every time she thought about it, she started to cry.

Her husband, Ray on the other hand started to research the boy’s abilities and prophecy. He couldn’t do much about the abilities. They were sealed and he couldn’t find any information about them in the church’s database. Although the church has kept track of all abilities since the separation but there was not a single entry on Tristan’s abilities in the database.

The prophecy was a different thing. He had hired the greatest linguists and philosophers on the continent. Still, none of them could make much out of the prophecy. The only clue they had was the part about “…his companion the: mightiest her” All of them came to the same conclusion. He was supposed to marry the mightiest female demon. With this clue Ray started to look for the mightiest female demon.

That was easier said than done. How was he supposed to find her? Organize a tournament with only females as participants? As Ray was wondering how he could organize a tournament this big. One of the priests, he had ordered to search for ‘her’ in the database, entered the room.

He had found a girl who had the following prophecy: “She shall lead the demons into a golden age thanks to her unrivaled strength” The only problem with her was: She was the bastard daughter of the leader of ‘Zerstörung’ one of the three leading Umbra.

Schatten and Zerstörung had never had a good relationship. So Ray knew the negotiations ahead of him would be really tough more so since he couldn’t count on his wife the clan head of the Schatten.
