After Kayle had left the room, Clair stayed alone behind. She felt too agitated to continue reading her cheap Rom-Com. She just sat there thinking about Kayles words.
‘Nice, now my good mood is gone. Is my dream of being treated like a normal seraph really that selfish? No! It isn’t! It isn’t selfish of me trying to be treated like a normal Seraph! If people think, that being the first princess is so nice, why don’t they try to be the first princess for a day. I bet they would quite after a few hours!’
Clair started nodding. “Of course it isn’t selfish of me trying to live a normal life! It’s my goddamn right! ... Yeah, no one can tell me it’s wrong of me to desire a normal life. But in a way she kinda is right. It might cause other people to feel bad when I say I don’t like being the crown princess.’
“Excuse me” a young blonde maid entered the room. Clair who didn’t realize the knocking on the door looked towards the young woman.
“You don’t look familiar to me. What’s your name?”
The young woman looked towards Clair with a shocked expression. “Yes... Your highness... I started working at her highness empress Clarisse’ court.”
“Well, that’s probably the reason I see you for the first time.” Clair smiled.
“Your highness...” The young woman looked troubled. “I... I actually woke you up this morning.”
‘Dang it! Kayle was right! I don’t pay attention to my surroundings and don’t even realize I might be hurting people around me!’
Clair forced a smile. “Oh, yeahh, how could I forget that. You did a great job in by doing so.” Clair tried to sound as earnest as possible.
The young woman tilted her head. “If her highness says so.”
“Say you’re a normal seraph, right?”
“I don’t know what your highness means by that, but yeah, I was raised a commoner.” The blonde maid bowed towards Clair.

Clair hesitated a moment. ‘Does that qualify her as a ‘normal’ Seraph? Yeah, it probably does.’
“If you had the opportunity would you like to be the crown princess?” She finally asked, trying to deny Kayles words.
The young maid clearly did not expect that question. She blinked a few times before answering the question. “Of course I would love to be in the crown princesses shoes. Everybody knows that the crown princess is not only smart and beautiful, but she also got blessed by the gods. We can only expect great things from her. And that’s not all, there are rumors: although young, she’s already engaged with the heir of the Luz family. One of the most prestigious families in all of Lux!”
Clair’s expression darkened as she heard about her engagement.
The young maid paid Clair’s mood no heed and continued. “As I was saying we can expect great things from the crown princess, since she’s the daughter of Empress Clarisse, who united the continent. Breaking the opposition of the noble houses, ruling their small principalities, by doing so stabilizing our continent that was about to enter a gigantic Civil War. Not only did she prevent the Civil War, but she also managed to take over lone rule of the continent without violence! And she wasn’t even 60 years old by the time she did so! ...”
Clair watched the young maid gush all over her mothers and her life bored. After a few minutes passed she finally decided to stop the fan girl. “So, you would say that all the other people in Lux, not Lunae think this way?”
The maid who was about to continue talking about how amazing the royal family is, realized her emotional outburst. I’m sorry your highness, but I’m just too big of a fan girl when it comes to this topic” She bowed deeply. “To answer your question, yes I think most of the people in Lunae would want to change places with your highness at least once in their lives.
‘I hate it when Kayle is right. Especially when it comes to this type of topics! I guess I’ll have to change my behavior to the people around me here in the world of mortals. I’m sorry Bella, but it seems like all my whining is going to happen at your place from now on.’
Clair pressed her red lips to a force smile. “There’s no problem in liking the royal family. In fact, mother will be really happy when she hears that her subjects are so invested in her well being.”
The young maid smiled embarrassed.
“But now back to business, what is the reason that caused you to come and get me?”
“Oh, yeah! Your highnesses friends have come visiting her.”
“Friends as in, Viktor and Sariel?” Clair asked trying to hide her disappointment.
“Yes, both of them are waiting for you in the winter garden.”
‘By Bella, why do I have to entertain them? I don’t have anything against Sariel, but Viktor is jus just creepy! If it wasn’t for all this talk about trying to be nicer to my fellow mortals... Yeah, I would just run and hide as I usually do when he visits. And I would stay there reading until the next morning! Thinking about it... NO,IHAVETODOTHISONCEANDFORALL!IHAVETOBENICERTOOTHERMORTALSANDSOCIALIZE ALITTEMOREOFTEN!‘
“It’s ok. I’ll go and receive them.” Clair stood up and walked towards the winter garden.
