Lux (29.10.9978 AS)
The bright sun shone over Clair’s thin face, emphasizing her small nose and her full lips as she walked over the shier endless corridors of the Castle Solei. While she was headed towards the dining room, her blue eyes were glued to the city she could see outside the wide windows.
From the hill, Castle Solei was build on, one had an amazing view over the City of Lux the capital of Lunae the continent of the seraphs.
Every day Clair would watch down towards the city and imagine how it would be to be a normal citizen. How it would be live a normal life as a normal girl. Going to school like everybody else, playing with her friends like every girl her age, spend time with her parents like everybody else.
But unfortunately for her, she wasn’t a normal girl. She was the crown princess of Lunae. One day she would be the ruler of the Seraphs. Clair sighed as she looked towards the classic buildings of the city.
‘I probably won’t be allowed to wander freely around the city, but I’m sure they won’t be able to deny me going to school like a normal student!’ Clair thought as she tried to gather all her courage to talk to her parents.
‘Thank you Kayle. Like usual, you’re the only mortal I can count on.’ Clair smiled as she started to walk slower and slower, before finally stopping in front of two giant doors. The guards next to the door bowed towards her and opened the door for her.
She walked into the big flamboyant room. Two people were sitting on a long table. A woman blonde wearing a tiara and white dress with an open back, allowing her to show off her majestic golden wings was sitting on the head of the table.
Next to her was a blonde man wearing a gold and white tunic with an open back, allowing him to show off his big snow-white wings. He was looking towards his door, expecting his daughter to enter the room.

The Blonde man smiled towards Clair as he saw her. “Good morning my angel.” He greeted his daughter who just entered the room. “Did you sleep well?” He asked, still smiling towards her.
Clair just nodded and took the place in front of her father, who was just smiling at her. “Hello Clair, I hope you slept well my darling.” Her mother showed her a bright smile. “Are you ready for an interesting day like usual?” She asked enthusiastically.
“Yeah, but mom about that...” Clair shyly looked towards her mother. “I know it’s difficult to think of other things more fun than greeting and talking to nobility… But I also kinda want to live like most of the people my age.”
“Clarisse, do you know what she’s talking about?” Clair’s father asked his wife. “Glen, I don’t know. Aren’t we providing the best kind of life for her? I mean she is the future of our race, so we wouldn’t even dare to think about letting her go to school!” Clarisse said with a terrified tone.
**Sight**
‘Why did I even bother asking? I should have known their answer even before starting.’ Clair answered her parents with a sad smile. ‘No! You’ve come this far! If you give up now, your whole life will be controlled by them!’
Clair inhaled as much air as she could. “MOM!IWANTTOGOTOSCHOOLLIKELLTHECHILDRENMYAGE!IWANTTOMAKEFRIENDSLIKEEVERBODYELSE!IWANTTOLIVELIKEANORMALSERAPH!” Clair screamed like a machine gun.
Clarisse looked at her with pity. “Sorry, darling. But you know, you’re someone really important to our race, so we can’t let you go to dangerous places. What would we do if we lost you?”
“We would lose our savior. We would lose our last ray of light in this age of darkness.” Glen added.
**Sigh**
Clair once again sighed loud enough for everyone to hear. ‘All because of this stupid prophecy of mine.’
“How many times have I told you about your initiation ceremony?” Clarisse asked. “Haven’t I told you many time how Fors himself appeared at your ceremony and announced that you would lead us to a new age, where we don’t have to fear an attack of those Demons anymore?”
**Sigh**
‘As if I haven’t heard that stupid fairy tail over thousands of times already.’ Claire rolled her eyes, her mother told her about how amazing it had been in the temple as Fors himself descended to give her a prophecy.
“… And then he spoke: << She who’s the last ray of light in this world shall challenge Fate and change the world with her companion the mightiest him>>…” Clarisse continued retelling her memories from Clair’s initiation ceremony.
Clair didn’t say anything to change her parents mind and just silently ate her lunch without saying another word towards her parents.
