Chapter 79: Master of Time

Chapter 79: Master of Time

John Hell found himself surrounded by what could only be described as a 'yellow' space. This was a hidden realm that Destinatus didn't design when he created this multiverse. It was a fundamental dimension to reality itself.

But this multiverse was isolated and not connected to external multiverses. John spent a great deal of time wandering this space. He had already lost his mind a long time ago. It was through this, that he had already become extremely sane. He applied what he learned in the abyss to this realm.

John was unable to connect to other timelines here. It was clear to him that this transcended mere timelines. You see... John had entered a space where time didn't matter at all. The difference to being in this space for a second or a year was nothing at all.

The moment he activated his device and became a singularity. He had abandoned his simulated body and escaped the simulation Destinatus had designed for him. This unfortunately also meant that he had left the technique 'Reversed Infinite Mind'.

But the simulated existence remained in his lab in the simulation. He however wasn't existing in two places at once. It was like an empty husk.

He couldn't help but think to himself.

"This space... just what sort of secrets does it hold?"

Seemingly billions of years passed as he explored. He soon acquired some unique abilities. The body in his lab that had been abandoned. The outline of the event horizon dimmed. He had returned from oblivion.

Something rather unique had happened to his consciousness. Just like how Destinatus's consciousness had transformed into that of a data lifeform. This wasn't the case for himself. But his consciousness was existing in two states.

He had his simulated body. This had a consciousness. But he also had a consciousness in the time realm! Just like how comprehension can change how the chaos realm looks to an entity. Comprehension can also affect how one interacts with the time realm.

But it was more then just his consciousness in the time realm. You must remember. When he left the simulation. He had entered a realm of the multiverse.

So his actions in this realm were real. He had acquired a very unique existence. He had already created a body. He had also gained some unique abilities.

He had a LOT of time to practice these.

1.) Blind Transmission.

What exactly was this ability? It was a form of teleportation. But it was limited. The way Destinatus's teleportation worked was destroying his body and recreating it somewhere else. 'Blind Transmission' worked based on consciousness.

What did this mean? It latched onto another persons consciousness. It then allowed the user to appear in a position out of sight of the target.

So basically. It was teleportation. But it was limited. You couldn't travel wherever you wanted. You needed someone to already be there. There were conditions. You needed to also appear out of sight of the target. So if the user used this ability. They would appear behind a wall within a certain radius of the target.

The huge restriction of this skill was that you couldn't be seen directly teleporting. You weren't simply manipulating space. You were essentially using the concept of 'If a tree falls, and nobody is around, does it make a sound?'.

It is because nobody can see you, that is what allows you to teleport. It is like an exploit. It is entirely different functionality wise compared to regular teleportation.

The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.

2.) Return to Source.

This ability was quite simple. It allowed the user to return to the time realm. It was a bit flexible as well, and could even allow the user to bring another entity into the realm.

3.) Timeless Existence.

John had experienced getting erased repeatedly by the abyss and had developed a body that could resist such things. His destiny had become eternal.

This body he had developed couldn't be reversed age wise or sped up. It was truly timeless. But it had lost the abyssal aspect.

Instead... It was as if his body had fused with the realm of time. He was however still killable. But he wouldn't go to the abyss any longer when he died.

Because of his ability 'Return to Source'.

This meant that if you killed him. He could just come back again with another version of himself. This wasn't really a Hivemind. He just existed on a higher level.

4.) Time Manipulation.

This allowed him to speed up or slow down his perception of time. He could also do the same to others. But it also worked on the physical world. He could do some insane things with this ability.

5.) Eyes of Time.

This allowed him to observe a location, much in the same manner of 'Blind Transmission'. He would latch onto the consciousness of the target and see things from their perspective. It had this name since he could view their perspective like a movie, by rewinding or speeding up the experience.

Thanks to the years he spent in the time realm. He also evolved and upgraded his level of destiny.

He had originally had an eternal destiny thanks to Destinatus.

The levels of destiny go like this:

Normal, Extraordinary, Flawless, Perfect, Eternal, Paradoxical, Complete, Cursed, Mysterious.

He naturally promoted himself to a 'Complete Destiny'.

'Complete Destiny is a level beyond paradox. If such a destiny is acquired, despite the change of rules or universe such an existence will find themselves in. No matter how hard they try. They will never be able to change their destiny again. It will keep its attributes and lead them to become who they are. For them to know who they are, no matter what form they find themselves in.' - God's Death.

So exactly 'who' and 'what' is he?

"I am the Aspect of Time!"

His declaration in combination with his destiny that had reached the limit meant he would always be the 'aspect' of time.

John actually had a physical body in the time realm. He could interact with reality now. But there was a problem. Due to Destinatus using 'Infinite Mind'.

Thanks to the infinite amount of time he had.

He couldn't really mess with the outcome already set in stone.

But an idea was brewing in his mind. What if he got rid of all timelines and created a single timeline? He looked around at his environment.

He was looking down at his hands in the simulated lab. While also looking down at his hands in the time realm.

An hourglass appeared behind him as he waved his hands. The timelines danced around him as if he were a god of time.

He then twisted them into a single timeline.

----------------------------------------

John Destinatus's POV:

"That's impossible!"

"This 'aspect'...has potential!"

I monitor the situation. It seems as if the body of my identity has become a blackhole. But the blackness dissipates quite quickly.

I watch on as he looks at his hands.

John's origin existed nowhere and wouldn't be affected by time manipulation. Even multiversal time manipulation wouldn't be able to change his consciousness. He had also rewinded time in the past and his consciousness carried the information back with him.

But he wasn't his origin right now. His consciousness was very much not immune to time manipulation.

But that didn't stop him from feeling something insane. John heard infinite murmurings that would've driven any normal person into insanity.

"What is happening?"

John felt as if he had been forced to open up a connection to all other timelines of himself. But this feeling didn't last long as every version of himself collapsed and fused creating a single timeline. All other versions of himself had been pruned.

"This isn't ri-"

John laughed.

"You are right. Security is on their way. I didn't have enough time to make something from scratch. But who said I needed to?"

"What do you mean?"

John spoke:

"Your first mistake was not isolating signals in this lab."

"This device is just a detonator. The real server has been built by me months ago when I was a free man."

"You!? What does it do?"

John smiled as a hint of craziness flashed in his eyes.

"Ever heard of immortality?"

John finds himself in John Hell's body holding a gun to his head. It is like being controlled by a ghost. He was almost experiencing a sort of paralysis, but with action.

He pulled the trigger as brains exploded everywhere.
