"I hope it isn't boring..."
John put on his best daoist robes and went to his flying artifact. During the decade he had spent 'teaching' Du. He had integrated fully into this persona.
That wasn't to say people weren't suspicious. John had an unfathomable amount of experience when it came to acting. He had lived multiple lives as his own son and father from his 'operation phoenix'. It wasn't that he couldn't perfectly mimic Kai's habits.
It was more that he didn't feel the need to...
What was the worst that could happen? Death? Seals? Those were silly concepts to John. John was the very creator of the universe he found himself in. He had become extremely cocky. But this level of pride, he felt he had earned it.
John's personality had become a little twisted you could say. He had a goal of constantly surpassing himself that used to keep him in check. But now that he had 'done it'. It was as if he had retired.
It was like 'hero mode' or 'new game +' of a playthrough. John had done all of this before. He wasn't taking things too seriously.
This made John a little dangerous.
There is a reason he is calamity.
John would exist indefinitely. In the moments he was 'awake'. He lived for something different. He knew surpassing himself right now was a little pointless.
He was an origin. Nothing was beyond it. Although, you could argue that he had reached the peak when he became a concept.
John still wanted to surpass his current state. But wanting something doesn't mean you get it. There was no path and while John was someone that liked making his own path.
He realized when he fought Zero. There are limits! Even if he had broken those!
His processing power was infinite. He had to intentionally weaken his consciousness just to be able to experience being human again.
John had the blessing Inspiration. This inspired him. He also had Intuition.
These two blessings told him indirectly that he was walking on the correct path. His arrogance and outlook on life were essential.
John then remembered. He had referred to Du as an 'interesting mortal'.
"Since when did I see myself as above mortals?"
"There is a price to everything. Perhaps, the side effects of becoming a origin is arrogance?"
"Much better then the side effect of memory loss one gets as a concept. But I need to dial down my pride a bit. I have not reached the end of the road. I am not even a rank 1. Yet I look down on the creatures that I was born from. I started a human... Why do I see them beneath me now?"
That's right! John's personality was indeed shifting from being a origin. Imagine if you were to one day find that you are omnipotent. Just what would that sort of power do to your personality?
But this was a bit different then that scenario. John had a steady personality for a very long time. He did see himself before as someone that could do the impossible.
He was John Destinatus!
But now... It was like he wasn't experiencing pride for being himself. But instead a deep level of indifference for humanity. It was as if everything was losing meaning.
He felt like he could destroy the entire world on a whim...
He felt like such a power was what he deserved.
"These aren't my thoughts..."

"I see... It isn't simply an effect of being a origin. The body I inhabit. It wasn't mine originally. It is experiencing a manic high from me simply using it."
"Perhaps this arrogance was deeply rooted in the brain of Kai."
"Although... Perhaps this is just an excuse. A reason I am making up to obfuscate and justify my actions in the past and future."
"Being influenced by such a weak will? Nonsense!"
John started up his artifact and began to fly towards the meeting area.
It took about a week of travel to reach the meeting area. John exited his flying artifact as he flew towards the building where the meeting would be held.
"Stop!"
John stopped and was inspected by a guard.
"Li Kai? Patriarch of the Li Sect! You may proceed."
"Thank you."
John landed on the ground and got in a line heading into the building. There were hundreds of sect leaders here.
It was a huge meeting...
While waiting he was tapped on the back.
"Hey! Why did you stop going to those treasure competitions?"
It was an old friend of Kai's.
"I've been busy training my son. I needed to prepare for spirit severing."
"I know, I know..."
Soon John was in the front of the line. A woman in a purple robe led him to his designated seat.
The meeting wasn't for another two weeks.
This was also a sort of social gathering. You would spend some days discussing the dao with other sect leaders or making trades.
John was meditating with his eyes closed at his seat. When somebody slammed their hand on his desk.
John opened his eyes.
"KAI!!! I heard your son Du has mysteriously reached an impossible level of spiritual strength. Care to explain yourself!?"
John laughed.
"It isn't my fault your spirit strength is so... weak."
The person sent a punch.
There is a problem though. John is used to fighting concepts. They fight in a weird way. He hasn't done much fighting with this body as a nascent soul.
A move from John could erase someone's existence. He didn't attack merely the body. Time began to slow down as John made sure not to go overboard.
John remained in place. As their fist got closer and closer to his face.
John then was enlightened. Their fist crossed half the distance needed to reach him. It then did it again infinitely.
"So that is what Zero meant..."
John was comprehending infinity casually!
He held out his palm and caught the fist. The person had used explosive Qi to try to do damage to John. But it couldn't cross the infinite gap. The attack was completely neutralized. It never 'reached' John.
The people observing weren't ordinary people. Everyone here was a sect leader or representative. A normal person might of not noticed John's technique. But it didn't escape the eyes of those present.
"Space Dao!"
"Limitless Distance!"
People were soon whispering amongst each other.
The person that had sent the attack with all their strength felt embarrassed as it did little more then a fart.
They left in a rush.
Soon John had people asking for 'pointers'.
There was an arena near the venue for such occasions.
John had inhabited this body for a decade. Yet, he hadn't really fought with it. He used this as a chance to stop himself from fighting like a concept and instead fight like a cultivator.
He surprised everyone with his fighting style.
People couldn't help but notice the change.
It was nothing like how Kai was before... what had changed? When did he become so... overpowered?!
Soon it was time for the meeting.
Everyone was sitting at their desk surrounding the person in charge of this meeting.

Overseer's POV:
"I would like to thank you all for coming. Unfortunately, this meeting will be a bit more grim then the last one."
A illusion array began to show on the screen. It was broadcasting my memories.
You see... I am a seer. A male one. I come from a family of seers. We are actually a single person. Every time a male baby is born. The father seizes the body to continue our dao.
I have lived countless lives and this is our family's deepest secret.
My ability to see destiny and fate are unmatched.
"Our world is going to face its biggest catastrophe soon. Something unspeakably evil has invaded our world. A creature incomprehensible. A being of chaos and destruction."
"We must all work together to face this abomination."
"My divine revelations have shown me that it entered our world around a decade ago. There was a eclipse the day of its birth. I suggest all of you pay attention to the actions of your babies. It has likely acted as a parasite to the soul. It isn't your kid. It is an entity of chaos that will erase us all!"
I then notice something insane.
That it makes me pause.
I can see the level of destiny of those I gaze at.
I know of five levels of destiny that everyone falls under.
Those are normal, extraordinary, flawless, perfect and the legendary eternal.
I am the only one I know of with the eternal destiny. I have become eternal thanks to my infinite reincarnations.
But I notice someone watching me...
"Mysterious? What even is that?"
A mysterious destiny.
"Kai..."
I keep this in mind and continue my presentation.

John couldn't help but think to himself...
"Am I really that bad? What nonsense! I'm not evil at all..."
