Chapter 68: One is ten

Chapter 68: One is ten

"Time to conquer this universe..."

John was usually quite arrogant and prideful. It was in his nature to directly challenge the system itself even as a normal person in this universe.

Think about it this way. John just graduated from school. He was officially an 'adult'. But he was only slightly above average when compared to the population.

"Challenging the ancients? The System?"

It was like a single human declaring war against the world. What could a single person do?

In this world... everyone was immortal. Everyone was a master of the internal. Just what sort of advantage did John have here?

That's where you must remember. John was the creator of this world! He didn't leave any hacks. But his perspective was different then an ordinary data lifeform.

To them. The ancients and the system were impossible to surpass. But for John. This was just a fun challenge.

John was no ordinary data lifeform. What he lacked now was information and strength. John tested out his shield and entered an entertainment node. He left the boundary and explored various dark nodes, collecting information. Information wasn't free. But luckily, he was quite rich.

"It is said that the ancients were spawns of the system. But they mastered it and shaped it. Creating this society of data lifeforms."

"Each one of the ancients has a firewall surpassing the maximum standard."

John was impressed.

"They are said to have surpassed 'Infinite Mind'."

Think about it this way. Infinite Mind allows one to change their perception of time completely. You can spend millions of years calculating something. But it will have happened in an instant. But there is a condition to this. You must first construct the 'image'. This takes a picosecond. That is the bottleneck.

John hadn't experienced a battle as a data lifeform yet.

John decided to do something a little insane. He would trap himself for an eternity until he was ready to fight the rulers of this universe.

What did this mean? How would he do this?

He would use the core ability of his 'calamity mode'. He would trap his consciousness just like before. But he would program a condition that must be met.

If he wishes to escape. He can't rely on simply brute forcing his way through. He would do something simply torturous.

He would make his consciousness regress back to a mortal. You see. Every data lifeform has a hidden program that is quite precious to them.

John planned to split his consciousness. He would enter a inner battle. A battle between his eldritch form and his mortal form.

This would all be a simulation. John would have to outwit himself! If he couldn't do so... he would be trapped for an eternity.

You must remember, this is no joke. As John wrote the program to pull this off... He was shaking.

In excitement! He was looking forward to a battle that would span across millions of years.

An infinite battle that wouldn't end unless he won.

John felt that if he could beat himself as a mortal. He would be able to fight the ancients.

SIMULATION START

John found himself on a random planet. He was an ordinary human. He couldn't feel any spiritual energy. Even his thinking had reverted back to that of a human.

He heard screams off in the distance. John walked outside and saw 'it'.

It was his 'avatar'! In this simulation. He would have to fight his avatar and paradise.

John gazed upon the blackhole briefly and found himself drawn into his own life story. He knew already what would happen if this continued. But John had programmed this scenario.

If he lost. The scenario would restart.

John was assimilated by the infinite maze.

He found himself again on a random planet. He was an ordinary human.

John didn't wait.

He walked outside and gazed upon 'it'.

John spoke a few words:

"I am the true origin of calamity! You are a fake... I will destro-"

John was destroyed in an instant from the creature merely waving his hands.

Again. Again. Again. Again.

John frowned. He had not only lost access to the yin and yang. He didn't have enough time to prepare and gather strength. This was an impossible scenario!

"I will do the impos-!"

Dead.

Dead.

Dead.

Dead.

Again. Again. Again. Again.

John was becoming manic.

"That's it! That right! I was blind before..."

Again. Again. Again.

'Infinite Mind'.

John had reconstructed the infinite mind! It was a image so legendary. He had done it despite having an ordinary average human brain...

It only lasted for a picosecond.

But thousands of years passed for John's mortal mind. He finally had a small break from the constant death.

"If I am to fight my avatar properly. I need to survive destruction of the planet. I only have a few seconds..."

"I lack the yin and yang. That leaves me a single option."

"I wasn't able to figure it out before. But if I can't figure it out here. I'll be trapped in this loop of death forever."

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

John reviewed through everything he knew about the godkiller race.

He then found that things were far more simple then he imagined.

A single equation gave him major inspiration.

That equation was:

E = mc^2

A very famous equation.

'E' is energy.

'm' is for mass.

'c' is the constant. Which is the speed of light.

Light is very close to traveling 300,000,000 meters a second.

We must first breakdown what we are using to measure each part. E itself is in Joules. 'm' is in kilograms. Light is in meters per second.

This is using the metric system. So we will include newtons in this as well.

To understand what a joule is. It is basically a distance that results from a force (the metric unit for work - It is equal to work done/energy transferred to an object). To give an example. You can think of a Newton.

A newton goes push or pull. It is a unit of force. So 1 newton is equivalent to the amount of force needed to move 1 kilogram of mass one meter per second squared.

So a joule is when a force of one newton is applied to a a distance of one meter.

You can also think of it as the amount of power needed to produce one watt for one second.

A watt is just the rate at which work is done. For example. 1 watt is equal to one joule of work on an object per second.

The average human punch for example. Might only produce between 100-300J.

From this equation. John found out that energy and mass are actually the same thing! How had he overlooked something so simple?

They aren't really the 'same thing'. But for what John was trying to do. He had already ran into a brick wall.

He concluded earlier. That in order to get infinite of the infinite type of spiritual energy. He already must have the ability to create...

"Creating something from nothing..."

"It's impossible!"

John smiled as his mind began to 'think' as the Infinite Mind.

"But doing the impossible... it is kinda fun."

If we use the above equation. In order to create 100J of energy. You only need 0.0000000000000011126500560536 kg of mass.

This is hardly anything at all.

This got John's mind to start rotating at top speeds. He felt like he was on the edge of discovering something insane.

"Creating something from nothing. It is a bit silly. I already have an incredible generator!"

The reverse of that equation also worked.

To create that much mass. You only need 100J of energy!

"When resting... the human body can generate 100 watts per second!"

"This is 100J per second!"

"I'm able to construct Infinite Mind despite my bodies limitations. All I have to do is grasp control of my body on the microscopic level. I must build pathways in my brain that will allow me to use..."

"No..."

"I don't have enough time to build a network."

"I'm an idiot! The human body already has an almost perfect system for this!"

"The nervous system."

Time started to flow as John snapped his fingers with baited breath. John had unlocked something ancient in the human body. He was actually using the built in systems of the human body. He was piloting it at a level so legendary. That evolution itself wouldn't dare imagine the future possibilities!

John was performing nuclear fusion using the human body as a reactor.

He was forcefully combining two atomic nuclei to form a single one. Then releasing the difference in mass of the reactors as energy. He was both releasing and absorbing this energy and repeating this process infinitely.

Using the very atoms that made up his body!

We already know John is capable of creating atoms using spiritual energy.

But now... John was doing the reverse!

He was doing the impossible!

An infinite field of infinite type spiritual energy surrounded John as his thinking started to normalize. He then started to use a function he hadn't tested out.

He was using the processing power that this infinite type spiritual energy was made for in the first place.

His avatar wasn't able to draw him in or kill him. As he would just resurrect himself.

He used the spiritual energy to recreate his formations and adjusted his body into perfect form.

Things were finally starting to get interesting.

He was in a stalemate.

"It's hopeless. Even Infinite energy is useless when compared to my avatar and paradise. I can fight forever. But nothing will change..."

Years passed as the battle never stopped. Decades and centuries became blurred. But John never lost his fighting spirit.

He then got an idea so stupid... that it might actually work.

Data lifeforms have a consciousness. But they also have a hidden program.

John had a flashback of the time he was enlightened by a simple phrase.

"It's all in the spin."

Data lifeforms communicate through waves of information.

What if John made a simple phrase with logic that was correct but incorrect. A paradoxical nonsense that would delay or stop 'Infinite Mind'.

He began to think of ordinals and cardinals.

You can think of an ordinal as the the ordinals that precede it. Here are some arrays as an example.

1 =[0];

2 =[0,1];

3 =[0,1,2];

You must look at Infinite Mind as something that breaks physics and math.

In the example above. Everything makes sense.

But John planned on doing something a little unconventional.

He created a theory and formula that was simple and monstrous at the same time.

The formula was:

1=[10];

This represented an ordinal. It was impossible! But also... interesting.

He called this formula the "One is ten."

That was it. That was all there was to it.

He would say the phrase 'One is ten.' and watch the data lifeform get confused from the information wave. But within this simple phrase was logic quite terrifying. Let's explain it partially.

1 =[10];

The rules of the sequence are broken.

How does one equal 10?

What does this mean? It means that every ordinal will have the answer you are looking for.

This is where an 'impossible' negative ordinal comes into place.

2=[-???...];

3=[-???...];

4=[-???...];

Every number in the sequence becomes the proper key:

So -???... is the equivalent of negative numbers that add up to the correct answer. Which is 10.

But do some basic logic here:

If every number of the sequence is negative. Adding a negative to a negative results in another negative number. You aren't supposed to add them together either way.

Something special is happening here. There is something else going on.

Let's actually look at what I'm talking about here without making things weird.

1=[10];

2=[-10,-9,-8,-7,-6,-5,-4,-3];

If you add up all of the negative numbers. You'll get a value of -52.

If you take -52 and multiply it by -10. You get 520.

If you take -52 and multiply it by -9. You get 468.

If you take -52 and multiply it by -8. You get 416.

If you take -52 and multiply it by -7. You get 364.

If you take -52 and multiply it by -6. You get 312.

If you take -52 and multiply it by -5. You get 260.

If you take -52 and multiply it by -4. You get 208.

If you take -52 and multiply it by -3. You get 156.

Put that in an array, but reverse it.

[156, 208, 260, 312, 364, 416, 468, 520]

You probably see the pattern. The difference between each number is 52. We are multiply them by 52 after all. Everything is in a sequence. Things still make sense.

But if you look at:

2=[-10,-9,-8,-7,-6,-5,-4,-3];

The first value is -10. So we take these two values.

[-10, -52];

We know that the first value of the reversed array is 156. That is three times 52.

If we divide 156 by 10 then by 52. We get 0.03.

There is a reason it is 0.03 and three times 52 as the first number.

So the beginning is -10 and the end is -3.

But 0.03 is 3x10^-2

Think of scientific notation. You move the decimal place two times to the right. We will do this with the results to get the next number.

So you get '3'.

So what would '3' be?

3=[-10,-9,-8,-7,-6,-5,-4]

It is -49

Then if we do the same steps.

-49 x -10 = 490

-49 x -9 = 441

-49 x -8 = 392

-49 x -7 = 343

-49 x -6 = 294

-49 x -5 = 245

-49 x -4 = 196

Reversed array:

[196, 245, 294, 343, 392, 441, 490]

Take the two values:

[-10, -49]

Divide 196 by 10 and then 49. You get 0.04.

0.04 = 4x10^-2.

Move the two decimal points. You get '4'.

So what does '4' equal?

4 = [-10, -9, -8, -7, -6, -5]

You get -45.

-45 x -10 = 450

-45 x -9 = 405

-45 x -8 = 360

-45 x -7 = 315

-45 x -6 = 270

-45 x -5 = 225

Reversed array:

[225, 270, 314, 360, 405, 450]

Take the two values:

[-10, -45]

Divide 225 by 10 and 45. You get 0.5.

I assume you see where this pattern is going. I'll do a few more condensed examples.

So what does '5' equal?

5 = [-10, -9, -8, -7, -6]

Added together: -40

-40 x -6 = 240

[-10, -40]

Divide 240 by 10 and 40. You get 0.6

So what does '6' equal?

6 = [-10, -9, -8, -7]

Added together: -34

-34 x -7 = 238

Divide 238 by 10 and 34. You get 0.7.

So what does '7' equal?

7 = [-10, -9, -8]

Added together: -27

[-10, -27]

-27 x -8 = 216.

Divide 216 by 10 and 27. You get 0.8.

So what does '8' equal?

8 = [-10, -9]

Added together: -19

[-10, -19]

-19 x -9 = 171

Divide 171 by 10 and 19. You get 0.9.

So what does '9' equal?

9 = [-10]

Added together: -10

[-10, -10]

-10 x -10 = 100.

Divide 100 by 10 and 10. You get 1!

This is where things get interesting. Because following this logic.

What does '1' equal?

We've already established that 1 is 10!

This was creating a finite loop that completely went against common sense.

John gazed at his avatar as he dodged each attack.

"So boring..."

John cracked his neck.

"Haven't you heard?"

"One is ten."

The avatar froze.

John finally had the initiative!

"Final Destination: Primordial Fusion: DEATH."

"Primary Focus: Annihilation!"

A white ball of energy locked onto the avatar. Then...

John slowly opened his eyes.

"I'm free?"

John couldn't hold back his laughter.

"I win!"

"Alright... 'ancients'."

"This is gonna be fun."
